Transcript:
Years ago, Mrs Thatcher recognised the truth behind the European Project. She saw that it was about taking away democracy from nation states and handing that power to largely unaccountable people.
Knowing as she did that the euro would not work she saw that this was a very dangerous design. Now we in UKIP take that same view and I tried over the years in this parliament to predict what the next moves would be as the euro disaster unfolded.
But not even me, in my most pessimistic of speeches would have imagined, Mr Rehn, that you and others in the Troika would resort to the level of common criminals and steal money from peoples' bank accounts in order to keep propped up this total failure that is the euro.
You even tried to take money away from the small investors in direct breach of the promise you made back in 2008.
Well the precedent has been set, and if we look at countries like Spain where business bankruptcies are up 45% year on year, we can see what your plan is to deal with the other bailouts as they come.
I must say, the message this sends out to investors is very loud and clear: Get your money out of the Eurozone before they come for you.
What you have done in Cyprus is you actually sounded the death knell of the euro. Nobody in the international community will have confidence in leaving their money there.
And how ironic to see the Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev compare your actions and say, ' I can only compare it to some of the decisions taken by the Soviet authorities.'
And then we have a new German proposal that says that actually what we ought to do is confiscate some of the value of peoples' properties in the southern Mediterranean eurozone states.
This European Union is the new communism. It is power without limits. It is creating a tide of human misery and the sooner it is swept away the better.
But what of this place, what of the parliament? This parliament has the ability to hold the Commission to account. I have put down a motion of censure debate on the table. I wonder whether any of you have the courage to recognise it and to support it. I very much doubt that.
And I am minded that there is a new Mrs Thatcher in Europe and he is called Frits Bolkenstein. And he has said of this parliament - remember he is a former Commissioner: 'It is not representative anymore for the Dutch or European citizen. The European Parliament is living out a federal fantasy which is no longer sustainable.'
How right he is.

Transcript:
Well, the air is thick with denial in this chamber this morning.
There has been a major political event since we last met and no one has mentioned it. Italy had an election. And 55% of the electorate voted for Eurosceptic political parties, indeed Mr Grillo's movement managed to get 26%. It is quite tough in European politics these days to tell who the comedians are.
And what is absolutely clear is that Eurozone membership is completely incompatible with nation-state democracy. You can do what you like to take away the powers of national parliaments but people will go on voting, and there is a trend developing right across Europe; the Eurosceptic parties are going to get stronger and stronger.
And there is complete denial about the Eurozone crisis. You'd think listening to everyone this morning that it's over. You know, Mr Barroso comes out with a technocratic speech that everything is fine and dandy. Mind you, far better than the unutterable drivel we had from [Economics and euro commissioner] Olli Rehn yesterday which sent many members to sleep.
You are not facing up to the consequences for what you've done. Mr Verhofstadt talks about a lost generation in Spain, Mr Daul talks about youngsters struggling to be fed by their families in Greece.
And all of that is true, but it's being caused by the Euro. And that is what you are failing to recognise.
The Eurozone has been a complete economic disaster. [Verhofstadt starts shouting]
And the other thing you are not going to face up to... [Chairman asks Verfohstadt to control himself]
The real problem that you won't face up to though is the state of the French economy and the fact that France is now diverging by the month with Germany.
So right at the very heart of the European project and the Eurozone project there is a disaster coming down the tracks. I am afraid in the end, the whole thing is going to break up.
But I would also point out, you're in denial over Romania and Bulgaria. Those two countries are racked with corruption and organised crime. They should never have been allowed to join the European Union.
I want to make it absolutely clear, we in UKIP do not believe it's right and fair to have total open borders from next year for unlimited numbers of people from those countries to come to Britain, to work, but also, if they want, to claim benefits.
And as the results in the recent Eastleigh by-election showed the British electorate are increasingly saying 'enough is enough'.
It's not just us, the major of Duisburg in Germany has now publicly said that the massive influx from Romania and Bulgaria is causing huge social problems.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we've got to face up to it. We should not be in political union with Romania and Bulgaria.
Thank you.

Note on EU Constitution and Lisbon Treaty:
The people of France and the Netherlands rejected the proposed EU constitution in the 2005 referendums. After this, 5 countries that had promised a referendum cancelled it and the EU Constitution was re-written as an "amending treaty" or a "reform treaty" and named "Treaty of Lisbon". On the basis of this deceit, they now maintain that no more referendums are necessary. Only Ireland is holding a referendum. All other countries are ratifying the disguised EU Constitution without asking the people.
The EU Constitution establishes a new "European Union" with joint citizenship - an EU "federal" State that is technically and politically empowered to further centralize power in Brussels; a European State comprising of 27 nation-states ruled by a triumvirate of European institutions led by the unelected EU Commission, which serves as the governing body of the Union. With co-decision powers to block legislation, but never to initiate it, the European Council comprises of representatives of the governments of member states. This ineffectual co-decision process is shared with the European Parliament, which is the only directly elected institution and the only channel for European citizens to possibly reverse the totalitarian trend and preserve freedom and democracy.

MSN News' William Green talks to UKIP leader Nigel Farage about his election chances, being "odd", UK immigration and Sugar Puffs.
Ukip could win enough MPs at the 2015 general election to help form the next government, says party leader Nigel Farage.
In an MSN interview, Mr Farage predicted his party could win a sufficient number of MPs to be required to help form a coalition government -- although he acknowledged he would not become prime minister in 2015.
A key condition of any deal would be the holding of a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU, signalled the Ukip leader.
But he attacked the Tory, Liberal Democrat and Labour leaders after David Cameron claimed Ukip contained some "pretty odd people". Mr Farage said he was "odd" in that he had worked in the real world unlike that "bunch of college kids".
Asked about Ukip's electoral prospects, he said the party would fight hard in upcoming local and European elections as a stepping stone to the 2015 UK general election.
"If, as the Lib Dems proved in the 80s and 90s, you can build up a base by targeting sensibly at district and county council level then the perception in a constituency becomes 'do you know what these guys have got half a chance'.
"And if that's what people think, then it may become true," said Mr Farage.
"I am not going to become prime minister in 2015.
"But I tell you what, if the Liberal Democrats could become big enough to be needed to form a coalition, it is not completely beyond the realms of possibility that if Ukip won enough seats somebody may need them to form a coalition."
If that happened, he said the priority would be a "full, free and a fair referendum in this country so that the British people can decide their own future".
Hitting back at David Cameron's comments, he said: "Compared to him and Miliband and Clegg, I mean hands up, I'm odd -- very odd.
"Do you realise I actually had a job once, no honestly, really. I went out and earned a living, and then for nine years I ran my own company and I employed people.
"I've lived and breathed and worked in the real world unlike those three, who are a bunch of college kids who went straight from Oxbridge into research offices, and frankly have not really done a day's work in their lives."
On mass immigration, he said Britain had reached its "level of absorption" in the short-term, although he wanted skilled people to come to Britain -- not least to pay lots of tax.
But a distinction had to be drawn between the right to settle somewhere and claim benefits, and being able to come to a country on a work permit.
"That's what Ukip want. We want work permits but not open-door mass immigration," said Mr Farage.
"We've got to say that nobody is entitled to benefits in this country until they've been here for five years and obeyed the law."
He also said he planned to stock up on Sugar Puffs in the wake of calls for government action to tackle unhealthy food.
"Government go away. We can make our own minds up," said Mr Farage.
Remote Control - 75% (+) of our UK laws are now made in Brussels. Everyday decisions like bin collections and post office closures are not made at Westminster Parliament as you'd expect, but by the EU. Even worse consequences follow from the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty.

Transcript:
Good afternoon, everybody. Chancellor Merkel,
So you're off to Downing Street to negotiate the EU budget with David Cameron. And you do so against the backdrop of the Court of Auditors, yesterday, for the 18th year in a row, failing to give the accounts a clean bill of health; you do so against the vote in the House of Commons last week where a majority of MPs were asking for reductions in the EU Budget.
And of course you do so with a growing anger in Britain - Why are we pumping £53 million a day of British taxpayers' money into this Union? Not that it will matter a bit. Cameron is a very weak Prime Minister, I am sure you shall walk all over him tonight and win that negotiation. But the EU budget isn't really the question. It is Britain's place in this Union that is the real question. And increasingly Britain looks like a square peg in a round hole.
You see, we didn't join the Eurozone and that means that every time you have one of your summits in Brussels, when the big debates are going on, there is actually nothing for the British Prime Minister to say. And in fact if we do say anything we are now seen as the dog in the manger. The fact is Chancellor, you are now leading the Eurozone on a journey to a much more deeply centralised and I think more fundamentally undemocratic Europe. But nonetheless, we simply cannot join you on that journey.
Whether it is harmonisation of financial market regulations as you said today, whether it is the Financial Transaction Tax, whether it is the Banking Union - Cameron is forced into the position, time and time again where there is nothing he can say other than "No". Because British public opinion, and now as the Labour Party appears to have discovered a bit of Euroscepticism, or at least a bit of opposition, he cannot join these conversations. Now I sense in Brussels, not from you, but certainly around this chamber, an increasingly growing hostility to the United Kingdom's membership of this Union. And indeed there are many here who blame the Anglo-Saxon markets in London and New York for the faults of the Eurozone.
Wouldn't it be better Chancellor, tonight if you went to Downing Street and said to Mr Cameron, 'Look, this simply doesn't work anymore, it really is time for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union. He hasn't got the courage to say it himself but if you said it to him, it might have an impact.
All I am suggesting Chancellor is that we have a simple amicable divorce and that we'll all get on much better in the future.
- Second Speech after Merkel's Response:
It's a very different European Union, isn't it!
The 17 eurozone countries are on a journey and are moving somewhere completely different. And every single proposal that you come up with, Mr Cameron is forced to say No to. So we are going to find ourselves effectively as the Cinderella state. Because you will make big decisions that affect the Single Market of which we are a member but according to you, even UK members of this Parliament won't be able to vote on issues that affect the Eurozone which undeniably knock on to the Single Market. So I understand what you are saying but frankly we find ourselves now in a completely illogical position.
I would have thought that Britain will either have to be wholly fully in or wholly fully out and with a simple Free Trade agreement. And maybe Mr Cameron would agree with you on this but ultimately the British populace are seeking a totally new settlement.

Trapped Inside an Economic Prison (Full version: 14:33)
A collage of speeches by UKIP Leader Nigel Farage MEP in the European Parliament in Strasbourg and Brussels as Co-President of the Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group (EFD).
Excerpts relate to the euro currency crisis leading up to the bailouts of Greece (May 2010), Ireland (November 2010) and Portugal (April 2011).

Nigel Farage : "Another one bites the dust. Country number four, Spain, gets bailed out and we all of course know that it won't be the last. Though I wondered over the weekend whether perhaps I was missing something, because when the Spanish prime minister Mr Rajoy got up, he said that this bailout shows what a success the eurozone has been. And I thought, well, having listened to him over the previous couple of weeks telling us that there would not be a bailout, I got the feeling after all his twists and turns he's just about the most incompetent leader in the whole of Europe, and that's saying something, because there is pretty stiff competition. Indeed, every single prediction of yours, Mr Barroso, has been wrong, and dear old Herman Van Rompuy, well he's done a runner hasn't he. Because the last time he was here, he told us we had turned the corner, that the euro crisis was over and he hasn't bothered to come back and see us. I remember being here ten years ago, hearing the launch of the Lisbon Agenda. We were told that with the euro, by 2010 we would have full employment and indeed that Europe would be the competitive and dynamic powerhouse of the world. By any objective criteria the Euro has failed, and in fact there is a looming, impending disaster. You know, this deal makes things worse not better. A hundred billion [euro] is put up for the Spanish banking system, and 20 per cent of that money has to come from Italy. And under the deal the Italians have to lend to the Spanish banks at 3 per cent but to get that money they have to borrow on the markets at 7 per cent. It's genius isn't it. It really is brilliant. So what we are doing with this package is we are actually driving countries like Italy towards needing to be bailed out themselves. In addition to that, we put a further 10 per cent on Spanish national debt and I tell you, any banking analyst will tell you, 100 billion does not solve the Spanish banking problem, it would need to be more like 400 billion. And with Greece teetering on the edge of Euro withdrawal, the real elephant in the room is that once Greece leaves, the ECB, the European Central Bank is bust. It's gone. It has 444 billion euros worth of exposure to the bailed-out countries and to rectify that you'll need to have a cash call from Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy. You couldn't make it up could you! It is total and utter failure. This ship, the euro Titanic has now hit the iceberg and sadly there simply aren't enough life boats."

"Well that is the 19th crisis summit that Mr Cameron has been to, as The Rolling Stones might say "The 19th Nervous Breakdown."
And that's reflected I think by the funereal mood in the chamber this morning.
Yes on that Friday morning, "breakthrough" was cried, and indeed Mr Van Rompuy parroted the word this morning, "breakthrough". Nobody believes you, the wheels are coming off. This new European Stability Mechanism, your new bailout vehicle is doomed before it starts. We have legal challenges in Ireland and in Germany. We have the Estonian Justice Minister saying it won't fit their Constitution.
But most fun of all, the Finns and the Dutch seem to have broken the agreement that was made in the middle of the night. Perhaps they were excluded from this, perhaps the little countries don't have a say in Europe at all anymore. It's not credible, and I think the euro crisis now looks to me to be, frankly, insoluble.
And there's also a massive crisis of leadership - it is lovely to see you Mr Van Rompuy, you've not been here for many months. It's delightful to have you back. The last time you were here, you told us we had turned the corner, that the worst of the crisis was over and with every one of your predictions it goes on getting worse.
I'm sorry Sir, you don't have the presence, the credibility or the standing for the International markets to believe that you can provide a solution.
And Mr Barroso here at the G20, when he stood up at the press conference and said. 'We don't need any lessons in democracy,' said the unelected President of the European Commission.
You went on to say that the Eurozone's problems had been caused by unorthodox practices in North America. You've made yourselves an international laughing stock. You don't have any credibility, but one piece of helpful advice from me - Don't this summer go on any billionaire's yachts on extended holidays because the markets guarantee we'll all be back here in August. Thank you."

After a tough night of wrangling, EU leaders have agreed to set up a new authority - tasked with keeping sinking banks afloat. And to do that, the new agency will be given access to Europe's mammoth bailout funds - stocked in a large part by taxpayer money. This exact function was previously carried out by governments. But now, the EU can bailout a nation's banks - without adding to the government's debt levels - at least on the books. It's something that Germany strongly opposed, but was forced to relent on due to Spanish and Italian insistence. Nigel Farage, a member of the European Parliament and leader of the UK Independence Party, believes that it's Germany who plays the deciding role in these talks.

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. The Ponzi scheme usually entices new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. Perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to keep the scheme going.
The system is destined to collapse because the earnings, if any, are less than the payments to investors. Usually, the scheme is interrupted by legal authorities before it collapses because a Ponzi scheme is suspected or because the promoter is selling unregistered securities. As more investors become involved, the likelihood of the scheme coming to the attention of authorities increases.
The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi,[1] who became notorious for using the technique in 1920.[2] Ponzi did not invent the scheme (for example, Charles Dickens's 1857 novel Little Dorrit described such a scheme),[3] but his operation took in so much money that it was the first to become known throughout the United States. Ponzi's original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps; however, he soon diverted investors' money to make payments to earlier investors and himself.

• Debate: Statement by the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz MEP, on the occasion of Europe Day
Transcript:
Well, happy Schuman Day, or Europe Day, as you now call it, although I thought the celebrations were rather muted. The only bit of real passion we had was Mr Schulz slagging off the English but that now appears to be the sort of popular sport in this parliament.
And when people stand up and talk about the great success that the EU has been I'm not sure that anybody saying it really believes it themselves anymore. I think we are celebrating the wrong day.
We shouldn't be celebrating the 9th of May, we should be celebrating the 8th of May, Victory in Europe Day. We should celebrate the last time the Germans tried to smash the continent and they foundered and at least half the continent got its democracy back.
What we are celebrating on the 9th of May is another attempt through different means, to smash democracy across Europe. I don't doubt for a minute that Jean Monnet was well intentioned from the start. He thought that if you abolish nation states you would stop there ever being another war. He didn't at the time of course have the benefit of seeing that theory as it played out in Yugoslavia.
But like Communism, this has all gone badly wrong. And the EU Titanic has now hit the iceberg. It is a European Union of economic failure, of mass unemployment, of low growth, but worst of all, it's an EU with the economic prison of the Euro. And this now poses huge dangers to the continent. We face the prospect of mass civil unrest possibly even revolution in some countries that are being driven into total and utter desperation. But there is perhaps an opportunity. There is perhaps some good news.
That now a democratic rebellion has begun, and it began in Finland last year, with the True Finns getting nearly 20% of the vote. And we're seeing in country after country new political movements on the right and the left making big scores.
But that may not all be good news. Because in Greece what we saw, last Sunday, was rather reminiscent of the German election of 1932. We saw the status quo centre collapse the extremes of right and left rise. You know this project could even cause the rebirth of national socialism in Europe. We are headed the wrong way. We must break up the Euro zone. We must set those Mediterranean countries free. We must try to build a Europe, I want a Europe - but a Europe based on trade. A Europe based on co-operation. A Europe based on us sitting around the table and agreeing sensible rules on crime and the environment. We can do all of those things. But we cannot do it if we are asked to rally behind that flag. I owe no allegiance to that flag and nor do most of the people in Europe either!

Be part of this even bigger protest with Hundreds of thousands of channels participating in unison standing up to defend the old but favored YouTube set up. ""THIS COMING FRIDAY"" 16th of December
Taking action against Google's plans for a new lay out, which the majority of truetube lovers have not been consulted on & the majority seem to be in accord THEY HATE IT !! , It will be an historic collaboration between hundreds of thousands of channels if not millions of channels, each one closing down their channels by de activating the display modules on their home pages only leaving a protest video as a featured video and available for viewing, BUT more importantly changing all their best most viewed most profitable videos for you tube & Google!!!! to PRIVATE MODE, so that YT and Google cannot make money on them, This will result in a massive loss of revenue to you tube, We believe they will sit down & think this over, The power seems to be at this moment with the people!! they are going to take a different tack and hit Google in the Bank vault something different not just sitting there moaning but taking action, millions will join them in the struggle to keep YOUTUBE theirs tThe action is set to begin the begin at ONE minute after midnight (where ever you happen to be on this Planet) 00;01 HRS on the morning of the 16th of December that will be everyones signal to un-plug from you tube per se, By logging out & staying away totally for 24 hours they propose to make no video comments nor too watch any videos. I believe there will hide their channels using a you tube application in settings that will make then literally unfindable invisible in you tube search 16th of December remember that date!!!!!!!!
Let the volume of their protest be the silence in cyberspace, they plan to go to any other site, there are many, try them out and if they like it there try staying 24 hours as a test, SO they be absent totally on the 16th of December. They will be getting the message out to millions more in the following 2 days with the assistance of a tool called the remix video app that has been supplied so that the publicity video can be quickly downloaded and be uploaded automatically with virtually no fuss in less than 12 minutes one of the organizers stated copy this video by any means you like including hitting the remix video facility on this free to air CC rated video, then upload it to your channel as your own video, just recognize and credit the original owner of the video,The sharing of the video to all of your subscribers will be done by you tube (there is method in their madness,) the new upload share by you tube will lead to even more success, new TRUETUBERS discovering about the NOOTUBE boycott days of action.
the protesters have just experienced a major success considering THEY only had 2 days to get it really up and running, but the support they received on the 10th of December boycot day was super phenomenal, acomplete success far more than was expected as a launch platform for further boycots thanks to those who participated,an even more confident outlook to a successful resolution of the disputed undemocratic action of Google.
Google have to step back from the brink, thank you for your patience and continued support in this struggle.
Be there on the 16th----- Be absent (except to share your protest video if you really are motivated!! which would be wonderful we ask you to share all over the internet share your copied video, which belongs to you and will be added to your view counts,,,, NOT OURS. Thank you go do it Thanks, Don't forget BE THERE ,,,BE ABSENT !!!
