Eden This was a DAW test of Studio One. I've been meaning to work with it ever since I bought Rin and Len, but struggled since I could barely import files effectively. With some of my more recent experience the program has become less confusing to me, and I'm thrilled to have mixed something in it. Besides Vocaloid, I only used Studio One and it's native plugins to produce this cover. Everything up until this upload (besides scattered things mixed by Valor) have been mixed in Audacity with lots of supplement by outside freeware plugins. I hope to use Studio One as my go-to DAW now. Real time effects editing is sooo nice ; v;

【Kagamine Len Englsih】Beautiful Now【Vocaloid Cover】+VSQx

Eden 2018-03-12 | I'm alive! And taking this sparse upload to basically say I'm on hiatus, although I do have another upload or two for YouTube. I've been met with many creative and motivation challenges this winter, and have begun to move in a direction away from Vocaloid. Certainly not giving up using it, but my focus lies elsewhere at the moment.

I'm taking the opportunity to upload this cover now though, a project that's been in the works for over a year! I started this VSQ all the way back last January, and didn't even finish and mix it until fall of 2017. But since it's been so near completion, I pushed it through the video phase to have something to share here! It's a long overdue cover with Lenny boy.

And with mention of my shift in creative direction, I want to bring up that for the first time ever I'll be opening for mixing commissions soon! Today I'm coming at you guys with a brand new voicebank! Meet Utatane Lulu, the revamped VCV UTAU by my buddy Lulu! She's got a sweet and husky tone to her voice, and absolutely nails her high range notes!
I had a lot of fun making this. It's the first UST I've made all on my own, and the second I've tuned. Never realized how intuitive pitch bending in UTAU is, for how ancient and confusing other aspects of the program can be it's quite impressive. Also learned some new techniques for the video, hope y'all think it's as cool as I do!

Wow am I excited to post this! It's a cover I started totally on a whim last spring, and I'm really thrilled to see how it's come to fruition. I think it really combines the full capacity of my tuning, mixing, drawing, and video making. It's also my very first project with Dex since purchasing him and Daina in the spring! They're great voicebanks, and different from Rin and Len in just about every way, so they open up a lot of new creative paths! First time you guys hear Daina on this channel will probably be a special something by Lana Del Rey.

Also rest in peace Pete Burns, the stunning original singer of this song who passed away just about a year ago.

Hi everyone!! It's been a long time since I've uploaded, half a year in fact. But this upload not only marks my coming out of hiatus, but the rebranding of the entire channel! I don't know if YouTube is properly displaying the changes I made, but this channel is no longer called Colorful Spectrum, it is now simply my handle! I've been meaning to do this for a while, and had intended to make the switch on April 4th of this year, which was this channel's second birthday! Two years of Vocaloid covers! Here's to more growth, and to more good music!

In the last six months I've really been focusing on amping up my production quality, and getting all my ducks in a row (for five different songs) has really delayed any kind of upload. I'm putting a lot of focus into making my own VSQs, as well as pushing my skills with English voicebanks. On top of that I'm working to produce original art and video to go with a cover rather than ripping the original music video. I hope I make some cool stuff doing this!

Also a big thank you to everyone subscribed, and everyone new! Despite me being inactive I still saw some channel growth (hit 200 subs), so thanks! And a special thanks to my good friend TheLoveFaerie, who collaborated on the illustration with me.

【Kagamine Rin English】The Greatest (Sia) - Vetrom Inst【Vocaloid Cover】

I heard Vetrom's arrangement on SoundCloud and liked it, so when I found voiceless crow's VSQx I could not get the idea for this cover out of my head. I absolutely love Sia's music, I think her voice is astonishing and that she's a very talented lyricist. Her songs don't make for especially good Vocaloid covers though, as the style and flare of her voice is very hard to reproduce. I did everything I could to give Rin some similar flare! Also I snuck some Len English in there on some background vocals.

(Redone)【Arsloid】WAVE【Vocaloid Cover】

Eden 2017-03-17 | Way back when I first got Arsloid, I did a cover of WAVE with him that was quite terrible! It was off key by like 3 semitones and just sounded horrible, I think I had made a mistake when trying to move him up/down octaves. Since tuning, mixing, and general resources have increased and improved so much since a year ago, I thought it was time to give it a redo. It may not get nearly as many views as when Arsloid was the new squeeze, but I hope y'all enjoy it! And a special thanks to Kiccha (goo.gl/bgPy2t), who lended me her talents to improve the tuning on Arsloid's dynamics.

Eden 2017-02-03 | I finally created a satisfying enough mix for me to declare this finished. I wasn't sure I'd ever feel like I hit a high enough quality mark to post this to YouTube. Making, and especially tuning, this VSQ was an incredibly experimental process that produced mixed results. Eden 2017-01-27 | Wow have I wanted to do this song for a very long time! It's the very first song made by one of my favorite producer/composers, Sohta. I had briefly attempted to make this VSQ on my own (since no others existed), but basically gave up. Then wonderful Kiccha finished it for me, with her beautiful tuning and everything. 【Chika trial】Sugarvine【Vocaloid Cover】

Eden 2017-01-06 | First upload of the year! I hope everyone's 2017 is off to a good start! Chika's voicebank is incredibly affordable on amazon.jp, so I figured that if I was seriously going to consider buying her I should use her trial to test drive her first. Not sure if 'd buy her anymore since I've shifted to focusing on English since having Chika, but I will say she is of such good quality! She has a unique husky sound and is such a balanced middle ground between young/mature sounding voicebanks, not to mention she handles low range notes with such clarity! It's a shame she was overshadowed by the release of the V4 engine.

【IA ROCKS & Kasane Teto】Spinal Fluid Explosion Girl／DIVELA Remix【Vocaloid/UTAU Duet】

Eden 2016-12-09 | I'm so excited to upload this! I tried doing this cover way back in May, but nothing meshed, Teto sounded so tinny, it just didn't sound good. I decided to delete the Audacity project and revamp the whole thing in Studio One. Everything since my Balsam cover with Rin has been mixed and mastered within Studio One Artist. I'm in love with Studio One as a DAW, so much so that I'm actually not using the Artist OEM version that came with Rin and Len V4X! I upgraded to Studio One Professional (thanks Black Friday)! Boy have I missed having third party plugins as a resource. I'll let you guys know when my uploads become things mixed in Professional rather than Artist. Anyways, enjoy the newly mixed version! Eden 2016-11-25 | Whenever I'd try to think of covers that suit Arsloid's vocal range, I'd always try to think of KAITO originals, this song and Threadnation being the only two I liked that came to mind. When I listened to Derpmuffin's amazing cover with VY2 (goo.gl/QFndMi) and saw that the VSQ was available for download, I knew it was meant to be to cover this song with Arsloid.

Eden 2016-07-23 | I've had this VSQ about as long as I've been making covers, but never quite used it. I mixed a whole cover with IA and Valor's SeeU, but it just sounded terrible. But now that I had the means to write proper harmonies (thanks Qual) and more voicebanks, I thought I'd revamp the project. Also pitch snap mode works better than fussing with auto tune. I like how this came out with these V4 boys, so I hope y'all do too.

Usually I use tn_fnds to render HY0 because I love the cleanness it gives his vocals (and the emphasis on his consonants), but this was a test of him with moresampler. The tension flag worked wonderfully to bring out the power in HY0's bank. Plus YusukeKira knows how to make a beautifully pitch bent UST.

Eden 2016-04-01 | Whew did this project run long. I started it way back in the summer, when I had VY1's trial and also did Last Continue. It's not the same standard of work I put into to tuning currently, but I think it still sounds nice. I originally wanted to do a Paradichlorobenzene cover with VY1, but I found out Owata actually has an official version he made. So I was gonna do a Paradichlorobenzene/Antichlorobenzene mashup, but then forgot to render the Paradichlorobenzene part...so an Antichlorobenzene cover it became.

【Arsloid feat. IA】Cantarella ~Grace Edition~【Vocaloid Cover】

Eden 2016-02-26 | Woof did I spend a lot of time and effort on the art/video for using a pretuned VSQx. Not a bad thing though, just trying to use untuned VSQs so I get practice tuning and develop my own style.
I thought it would be a good cover for Arsloid, even if he came out more powerful than Kaito's original vocals. There is some Arsloid Soft cross-synthesized in there though!
For how many times I've heard this song, I've never actually read the English lyrics. When I had a problem with the encoded lyrics, I considered not putting them in at all because of the "questionable" themes. I did though, so enjoy (and please forgive the distortion around the lyrics if you notice heheh).

Also, thank you, Valor, for fixing that weird issue where the VSQ was off key by a few notes.

【IA ROCKS and Arsloid】 The Foxs Wedding 【Vocaloid Cover】

Eden 2015-10-23 | WOOOOOO YEAHHHH I''M ON V4! And I've never been more enthralled to work with Vocaloid! I've been waiting since the summer to have both of IA's banks together and Arsloid all on the V4 Editor.

I kind of struggled to do the art and video on my own, so I hope it turned out nicely. This is my first time formally making art with a tablet (borrowed a friend's). Also, enjoy the creative liberties I took with IA's hair.

I love Masa's version of Kitsune no Yomeiri, the heavy beats make it an addicting tune. Unfortunately the only off vocal around isn't Masa's original ;__; Thanks to those who made the other one floating around though, you nameless wonders you, I'd rather have the current instrumental rendition than no off vocal at all!

Eden 2015-10-10 | I've been experimenting with Utau a LOT lately while waiting for my son. I've learned a ton about that finicky program since I made this cover, but I still actually like it. I think there's a lot of charm to Teto's voice.
