GORGEOUS Tilted Twisted Swirl. Take 2 with a new paint pouring technique Meghan Dawson Ethereal Orb Art 2020-08-05 | I LOVE THIS POUR!!! I can't say it enough. The twisted tilted ring is my new bff. LOL It worked so much better with my swirl paint mix. I also sort of had a swirl on top of a swirl because I used 2 cups and when you stop and start it changes the way the paint flows. You are basically pouring on top of a pour as opposed to stretching out a continuous pour. I will link my video, perfecting the swirl because it shows how I mix and check my paint. It can be any paint, I'm just partial to Nova Color and creative inspirations for swirls. I have had successful swirls with other brands though so if you don't have either one, don't let that stop you!

A New Twist on the Swipe Technique Meghan Dawson Ethereal Orb Art 2020-07-01 | Super quick and fun swipe using a baby hairbrush. This was a fun swipe. I love the look of the lines with the hairbrush. It gives a different feel. It doesn't create cells like a traditional swipe because it drags areas of paint rather than layers of paint over each other. It is a distinct and different look. Not really a pouring technique, but a new twist on an old technique.
Open Cup Paint Pour Meghan Dawson Ethereal Orb Art 2020-06-22 | Paint pour using the open cup technique. All paints were thinned with floetrol and liquitex pouring medium with a touch of paint to get just the right consistency. The red and white had 2 drops of silicone added. Open cup pours are a lot of fun to watch. I used a kids yogurt container to make teh open cup. Experimenting with a new medium in paint pouring. Pouring starts at 2:21 Meghan Dawson Ethereal Orb Art 2020-02-22 | I used Sergeant Art Gloss medium and varnish as a medium along with floetrol for some of the colors. I didn't care for sergeant art as a varnish. It just didn't give it an overall smooth glossy finish that I am used to even after 5 coats. I'm not sure I will love it as a medium either, but I will do a few more pours before I decide. I do love the way this pour turned out, but it didn't ' sell me on the gloss medium. I wanted to see if there would be a difference between a sheet of plastic and a damp paper towel in a swipe. There is a slight difference between the two and I like the result from the sheet of plastic best. It was also a lot easier to work with. Also, it really showed that you need more paint on the canvas when using a paper towel.
