Traffic Collision in Boston (2025-07-30) Boston Drivers 2025-07-31 | Dashcam video of a traffic collision I was involved in that happened in Boston on July 30, 2025. The state police found the other driver at fault at the scene. As you can see in the clip, the driver of the black Hyundai sped up to pass me, then slowed down quickly and tried to make a right turn from the left lane directly in front of me. The passenger's side of their car collided with the driver's side of my car, pushing my car over the curb and into two metal poles. Two airbags deployed on the driver's side of my car. Luckily, no one was seriously injured.The dashcam has definitely paid off several times over! If you are driving without one, I strongly encourage you to get one for your own peace of mind. This driver was not happy that I didn't want to let him force his way into the roundabout when he didn't have the right of way, and he was even less happy when I didn't engage with him after the fact (except for once, as you'll hear in the video).
Traffic Collision in Boston (2024-03-20) Boston Drivers 2025-05-11 | Dashcam video of a traffic collision I was involved in on March 20, 2024. The other driver admitted fault at the scene. They claimed that they thought they could go straight from the right lane, even though it's clearly marked as a right turn only lane, and my lane is clearly marked for going straight or turning right. I go through this intersection regularly, and vehicles often merge from the right lane into the left lane during the process of turning right, which is illegal and unsafe since both lanes are allowed to turn right.The dashcam has definitely paid off! If you are driving without one, I strongly encourage you to get one for your own peace of mind. I was thrilled to be able to show this video to the other driver's insurance company as incontrovertible proof of what happened.
Near Collision in Boston (2024-03-01) Boston Drivers 2025-05-11 | This happened in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston on March 1, 2024. I was in a traffic circle with the right of way when a VPNE bus proceeded into the traffic circle directly in front of me, forcing me to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the bus. Just another reason why VPNE sucks, I guess.
Near Collision in Boston (2024-02-28) Boston Drivers 2025-05-11 | This happened on Arborway in Boston on February 28, 2024. The dark blue Mercedes went around me in the parking lane to run the red light, nearly hitting a blue hatchback who was making a U-turn with the right of way.
Near Collision in Boston (2024-02-07) Boston Drivers 2025-05-11 | This happened today, February 7, 2024, in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston. I guess this guy decided I should yield to him while he made an illegal U-turn, but instead I honked vigorously and proceeded on my way.
Near Collision in Boston (2023-11-15) Boston Drivers 2025-05-09 | This happened in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston on November 15, 2023. A big pickup truck completely cut me off by making an extremely poorly timed and even more poorly executed U-turn, blocking both lanes and forcing me to slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop. At first it looked like they were going to make a left turn, but then I realized they were attempting a U-turn and had to take evasive action.

I guess the driver of the blue Prius didn't know they were supposed to yield to traffic already in the rotary, since they never even looked my way before entering and cutting me off.
Cars in Oncoming Lanes in Boston (September 2023) Boston Drivers 2025-05-09 | Two short clips of cars making their own "VIP lanes," i.e., driving into the oncoming lane to bypass traffic. The first clip is from September 1, 2023, and the second clip is from September 20. Interestingly enough, both of these incidents took place on the same stretch of Washington St. in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston.
Road Rage in Boston (2023-03-03) Boston Drivers 2025-05-09 | Apparently I wasn't driving fast enough for this lady through the residential neighborhood of Roslindale in Boston, MA. She decided to pass me on a double solid yellow line, then proceeded to waste a few of those apparently extremely valuable moments of her time by stopping on a green light and getting out of the car. I think she wanted to threaten me, but she turned around and got back in her car, probably as soon as she saw me. She also littered from her car window multiple times, apparently in an attempt to hit my car with the trash she was throwing, although her aim was truly, truly horrible. Just another day in Boston....
Cars Blocking Streets in Boston (2022-11-03) Boston Drivers 2025-05-09 | Twice on this day while driving in Boston/Cambridge, I found my way blocked by cars parked horizontally across an intersection that I needed to turn into. I understand if you need to pull over temporarily, but try not to block a roadway when doing so!

I was waiting for a chance to turn left at a busy intersection, but I had to wait until the light turned red to make the turn. A black sedan in the oncoming lane ran the red light after I made my turn and nearly hit me in the process.

The car in the middle lane appeared to be on their phone and started drifting into the left lane. The driver of the car next to them did not handle the situation well.
