The Problem with the New Age Culture Kaleidoscope 2021-05-02 | Ralph Smart, who goes by Infinite Waters on YouTube, and other figureheads of the New Age Spirituality movement like to tell their followers that if they visualize success, raise their frequency, and practice gratitude, nothing will stand in their way of "manifesting abundance." Positive thinking always helps, but unfortunately it's not enough to lift the underclass out of poverty and wage slavery. This largely middle-class spiritual movement has some of the right ideas: they want to self-actualize, interact with others from a place of heart-centeredness, and live in harmony with Mother Earth. BUT, the individualist mindset their figureheads preach actively works against solving the problem of income inequality and economic exploitation we face under neoliberalism.
