Thick Riff Thursday Contest Eric Myers 2025-03-23 | New guitar, new contest upload! This one is for @nickbroomhallmusic‘s thick riff Thursday contest on instagram (find other entries using the hashtag #TRT2025RiffContest. I had a blast making this one and was really happy with how the guitar tone came out. Quad tracked using a PRS Archon model on my Fractal FM3 and Dynacabs on one side with GGD Contenders on the other. Didn’t do a ton of eq outside of a low and high pass filter. Tried to just get out there and go haha

With the release of the recent MLC 93 plugin it was so easy to get an awesome guitar tone with little tweaking. Blazin- In This Moment Guitar Cover Eric Myers 2011-10-04 | Hello there people! found some time to put up a cover of this song by in this moment. If you haven't heard of them check out cause they're quite good. Got the chance to see them play in a small venue last year and they put on a killer show and were extremely cool and chill. Well enough endorsing, this is a song off their last album "A star crossed wasteland". Learned it by ear, and its normally played with a seven string so I had to adjust the notes and such. And the solo is mostly accurate except for the final bar... I'm not quite sure about it haha. Anyway Enjoy! :)

It's no shogun, but it's a worthy follow up filled with awesome songs, Including this one. So I learned this song all by ear, it's surprisingly easier than you'd think haha. Now that the song is out I figured I might as well figure out the rest haha. The song itself wasn't to hard. Probably the only part I had difficulty with was the weird bridge part before the solo. But other than a couple confusions on how to play the chorus I didn't make to many mistakes :)
