We started of by going to the worst rated cafe in London, Palace restaurant cafe. Imagine I got charged £15.50 for a poxy jacket potato and another £15.50 for fish and chips, it's an absolute rip off!!! Then we went to Ristorante Roma which is an "Italian restaurant" more like a frozen food restaurant. Can I make a CHICKEN katsu curry FASTER than ordering one? Underrated Hijabi 2023-07-30 | Today we take on challenge! ME vs WAGAMAMA! I will taking on Wagamama head to head to see who makes katsu curry FASTER!The recipe for Chicken Katsu Curry:Sauce: 1) In a pan, add 2-3 tbsp of vegetable oil + 1 finely chopped onion + 1 crushed garlic + 2-3 tbsp of sliced finger till they soften2) Add 2 tbsp of curry powder + 1/2 tbsp turmeric and cook on low heat3) Add 1 tbsp of plain flour + mix then slowly add 300 ml of chicken stock (I used 2 chicken stock cubes in 300ml of hot water), followed by 100ml of coconut milk.4) Let that cook for a few minutes then add 1tbsp of sugar and a dash of light soy sauce5) Cook for 15-18 mins and then it's time to strain, get a strainer and a bowl strain the sauce. Chicken:1) 1-2 Chicken breast sliced and washed. 2) In a pan add vegetable oil for frying (not a lot of oil just shallow frying)3) Grab 3 bowls : 1 for the panko breadcrumbs, 1 for 2 whisked eggs and 1 bowl for the plain flour.4) Grab one chicken breast, dip into the plain flour, then into the whisked egg, and then the panko breadcrumbs = make sure you cover all areas!5) Once oil is hot add the chicken and cook for 6 mins on medium heat till one side is brown/ golden then flip. Rice:1) In a pan add water and boil2) Wash the rice and add it to the boiling water cook on high heat for 5 mins then turn the heat to low for 10 more minutes make sure to coverPlate up with the rice, slice the fried chicken and add top with the sauce. Don't forget to add wash and cleaned salad leaves to the side! And that's how you make a SENSATIONAL CHICKEN KATSU CURRY!!!
