Some speculate that she used this power to make Sakuya work for her and make her kinder to others. She's a spoiled brat though. She's the owner of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and caused the Scarlet Mist incident because she wanted to be outside both night and day. But Reimu and Marisa solved the incident soon enough. Now she goes outside wielding a parasol to block the sun's rays. She visits Reimu in the shrine often. Remilia is also an avid drinker of blood tea. She claims to be a descendant of Dracula, but this is a lie. She is a vampire though, a vampire with a light appetite. She's called the scarlet devil because sometimes after she bites her victims, they continue bleeding out onto her dress, giving it the red color it has.

It is a known fact that she sleeps on her job often. She's also a martial artist, mainly using physical attacks over magic. She's also called "China" by the fans due to Japanese fans having problems pronouncing her name so they called her "Chuugoku," which, as far as I know, means China. ZUN even said that he's called her China a few times.

This name was given to her by fans. She's usually portrayed as a good friend of Cirno. She's also usually portrayed as a nervous girl, or worrying about Cirno's health alot. When the original sisters left Prismriver mansion, Layla created these three poltergeists off of her memories of her sisters. In order of age, Layla is the youngest, then Lyrica (the brunette) is the next youngest, Merlin (the somewhat blue haired one) is the middle sister, and Lunasa (the blonde) is the oldest. Officially, all three of the poltergeists are the same age if you think about it. Lyrica is the scheming one of the three, she would let her other two sisters fight after causing it and watch everything unravel. She always thinks two steps ahead. Her keyboard plays ghostly noises, and can range from a wide variety of sounds. Merlin is erratic and easily obsseses over stuff. Her trumpet can make people happy. She's also thinking about leaving the band to go solo. Lunasa is the most serious one. Her songs can depress people, even drive them to suicide. The first poltergeist in Touhou, created by an insane human. Although created by an insane human, Kana herself is completely sane. It contains one of the more memorable casts and songs of the whole series. It also introduces the spell card system, a rule that was made to help reduce deaths in Gensokyo. She can manipulate darkness, but can't see in the dark, and she hates the light. She's in a lose-lose situation when it comes to her powers, no matter how strong it sounds like. The ribbon in her hair is actually an amulet that she can't remove for some reason. Some people think it's a seal that unlocks a dark power that turns her into Ex-Rumia. But no one knows if this is true.
