HTTYD: The Hidden World Rescore - Original Music Dylscore 2025-02-04 | Hi everyone! I told ya I would branch out a little bit before the next album :). I wrote this about a year ago and went back this week to polish it up (with what files of it I could still find…) This is my original music on top of a scene from How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. John Powell is one of my favorite composers and I love getting inspired by his music and trying my hand at it. Normally I would refer to the scorebook for timing and orchestration, but I wanted to do this one from scratch! I’m pretty happy with the results, and I hope you are too :).I am about 3 pieces (aiming for 8-12) into the next HK album. This rehashing of the HTTYD piece is also me dusting off working with a full orchestra - something I plan to have for almost the entire album. It’s going to pick up right where it left off, and I’m really liking how it’s shaping up so far!
