The lab also serves as an introduction to using a micropipette.In the lab, students use micropipettes to transfer water into a test tube in 200 μL (0.200 mL) increments. The mass of the water is measured after each transfer. Chi-Squared (𝛘²) Analysis Google Sheet Lab Hamster 2022-03-23 | Noel Pauller shows you how to create a google sheet that will automatically perform a chi-squared (𝛘²) calculation. The sheet breaks down each step of the calculation so that teachers and students can easily check their accuracy in problem solving. Mr. Pauller uses the sheet to analyze data from a sample of genetic corn believed to be the result of a dihybrid cross and discusses how to determine the degrees of freecom, the importance of the critical value and the null hypothesis. The sheet can also be used to complete a chi-squared test for a genetic test cross with a 1:1:1:1 ratio, or other data sets that call for (𝛘²) analysis. Cicadas 2024, what will they sound like? Lab Hamster 2021-05-21 | 2024 will see a dual emergence of two broods of periodical cicadas! The 13 year Brook XIX and 17 year Brood XIII will both arrive this spring. It is possible the city of Springfield, IL will witness both broods emerging.The Brood X periodical cicadas emerged in May, 2021. This video includes audio of the distinct calls made by the three different species of 17 year cicadas (Magicicada septendecim, Magicicada septendecula and Magicicada cassini. The 13 year cicada species includes Magicicada tredecim, Magicicada tredecassini, Magicicada tredecula and a new species discovered in 1998 called Magicicada neotredecim.
