Welcome to Dunedin, New Zealand, the place that inspired the creation of RaftermanNZ. Still considered his home, though parted long ago, the city is the perfect blend of size and Kiwi culture. As the second largest population in New Zealand's South Island, it boasts a rough population of over 134k people. This urban center sits on the east coast of Otago, surrounded by the Otago Harbour with suburbs extending into the Otago Peninsula and inland valleys and hills. The city has a rich history owing its significance to the Central Otago Gold Rush in the 1860s and for a time was New Zealand's largest urban area. The map itself features a historical start aiding the player in detailed inspiration and development opportunities. For RaftermanNZ, this place represents a significant milestone in his history, with cherished memories kept alive in the creation of this content.

IMPORTANT NOTICE READ THIS PLEASE! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!
- To use this map properly you NEED to subscribe to Better Bulldozer by yenyang along with the mod dependencies. Other mods such as Anarchy, Extra Landscaping Tools, and Extra Detailing Tools are also required. Most trees and props were placed with Anarchy enabled in the editor using an elevation lock, they need to be manually removed through the bulldozer or tree brush because they WILL NOT automatically disappear when built over. A quick tutorial in the highlight video may help you if you're confused.
- Better Bulldozer will also help you remove netlanes (fences), livestock spawners, and hang around areas. You cannot play the map without this mod as you will not be able to adjust these features without it.
- The buildable area is far greater than reflected in the map stats description. This is a glitch in the game due to detailing techniques. You can and should build into the hills just like the real life location this is based off of, they are not too steep to build on. This may be considered a harder map for some players so play at your own risk.-----!!Currently embedded links don't work in PDX mods in game, to follow the link, please open the mod listing in your browser!!-----It requires Better Bulldozer by yenyang (or a mod equivalent) should you decide to alter details featured on the map. It is NEEDED to delete the vehicles, parking, grass, dirt, and pavement surfaces they use.
This map was also created in the beta version of the map editor, water physics and other glitches may occur, please use at your own risk and report any bugs with the map in the comments of my highlight video on YouTube or do so through the linked forum thread. This map is still very experimental.
PERFORMANCE:
If the rocks/bushes bog you down. Reduce your view distance! The detailing technique was experimental, it works great on my system, but results will vary as I couldn't test on multiple systems. You may also remove the rocks by selecting them as a brush in dev mode (random rocks) and setting the bulldozer filter to delete them.
Map Information:
- Map includes air, rail, road, water, and electric connections.
- High voltage lines are BURIED and span the map, to use them you must connect to them either above ground or below.
- Map includes Easter eggs and stylistic choices that may not be true to life. Some creative liberty was taken, such shipping connections and rail networks.
- This location was chosen because of its exceptionally unique geography and build area challenge.
- Road networks follow IRL layouts, but may not be precise.
Resources:
- Map includes abundant oil and ore resources, with agriculture being the dominant feature.
Special Notes:
- Use at your own risk, performance is NOT guaranteed! The map has an extremely heavy use of bushes and ROCKS. Because of the heavy use of trees/bushes, your simulation speed may suffer depending on your hardware.
- Map was created from scratch from high-resolution lidar, there may be errors or unintended issues, use at your own risk.
- I'm doing this for fun, and it takes a lot of work and time, but I don't take it seriously. Nor should you.
- Water has been tested and works. However, due to the current work in progress nature of the CS2 map editor, please use at your own risk as sometimes the water physics take a very long time to play out. I apologize in advance if the water physics breaks and floods the map, so far my testing hasn't seen any issues.

Bay Port is a small unincorporated community that resides just off Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay in eastern Michigan, United States. Known for its summer Fish Sandwich Festival, it attracts mostly midwestern tourists yearning for a charming lakeside vibe. It's perfect for a city builder who desires a blend of natural geography, urban sprawl, rural agriculture, and access to a large body of water.
The map features everything from sweeping farmland to murky marshes, I chose this map because it offered a unique take to map development. While some players may dislike the heavy-handed detailing, I see it as an opportunity to push the limits of the new surface tool and allow those with an affinity for historical starts a chance to really shine. Just like in real life, you must purchase, then repurpose the land by demolishing old structures, removing overgrowth, and repurposing soil, evolving around historical and natural boundaries.
With that in mind, before you play, I recommend players read the map's description and reference this video for helpful tips. To enjoy this map as intended, there are a few things I think you should know before playing. Timecodes to each tip are included in the description for an easier viewing experience and reference guide. All assets on the map are vanilla.
While some players may not enjoy the overly detailed aesthetic, it's hoped that this approach encourages players who enjoy building their cities with pre-established historical boundaries, networks, details, and natural barriers. The player will be working within these confines to purchase and redevelop rural land into sprawling cities, shaping their city organically, with a historical North American feel. Project is still in development and subject to change. I really wanted to create a vast farmland build, with access to a body of water (in this case Lake Huron), accentuated by wetlands and marshy bits.
It's a departure from my usual hilly and mountainous maps, but has been a fun challenge that I hope folks will enjoy. If not, I'll enjoy it! This map intends to push the boundaries of what's possible with surfaces, props, and other details.
Join me at a stage where I'm ready to start discussing the map publicly. Stream times subject to change, I'm sort of just doing this when I have free time. :)

Welcome to Black Dragon Canyon, Utah. Cutting through the eastern cliff line of the San Rafael Swell, the area is named for the rock art panel on the canyon wall that features what looks like a flying dragon.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: To get textures as featured in the screenshots requires the Map Texture Replacer by Cgameworld and requires the Desert Map Theme. I imported a stock texture for the cliff face in addition to this pack, unfortunately I'm not able to distribute the texture freely, but it can be found by checking the description of the PDX Mods listing.
In the future, I will create my own themes for the texture creator to distribute (with my own created textures). This will happen in the future.
The final screenshot in the Paradox Mods preview gallery shows the map with the game's default textures.
It also requires Better Bulldozer by yenyang (or a mod equivalent) should you decide to alter the rest stops featured on the map. It is NEEDED to delete the vehicles, parking, grass , dirt, and pavement surfaces they use.
This map was also created in the beta version of the map editor, water physics and other glitches may occur, please use at your own risk and report any bugs with the map in the comments of my highlight video on YouTube. This map is still very experimental!
PERFORMANCE: If the rocks/bushes bog you down. Reduce your view distance! The detailing technique was experimental, it works great on my system, but results will vary as I couldn't test on multiple systems. You may also remove the rocks by selecting them as a brush in dev mode (random rocks) and setting the bulldozer filter to delete them. They span the entire map.
Map Information:
Map includes air, rail, road, water, and electric connections. High voltage lines are BURIED and span the map, to use them you must connect to them either above ground or below. Map includes Easter eggs and stylistic choices that may not be true to life. Some creative liberty was taken, such shipping connections and rail networks. This location was chosen because of its exceptionally unique geography and build area challenge. Road networks follow IRL layouts, but may not be precise. Resources:
Map includes abundant oil and ore resources, with agriculture following the river. Water may be sparse in areas. Special Notes:
Use at your own risk, performance is NOT guaranteed! The map has an extremely heavy use of bushes and ROCKS. Because of the heavy use of trees/bushes, your simulation speed may suffer depending on your hardware. Map was created from scratch from high-resolution lidar, there may be errors or unintended issues, use at your own risk. I'm doing this for fun, and it takes a lot of work and time, but I don't take it seriously. Nor should you. Water has been tested and works. However, due to the current work in progress nature of the CS2 map editor, please use at your own risk as sometimes the water physics take a very long time to play out. Welcome to Lake Ōnoke, a coastal lake located around 30 km from east-southeast of Wellington, on New Zealand's North Island. This region is rich in agriculture and has direct access to the coast into Palliser Bay and the Cook Straight. (Map by RaftermanNZ - Youtube.com/@RaftermanNZ)
Installation: - Extract the files in your folder “AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Maps" - If maps doesn't exist in this folder, create one!
Map Information: - Map includes air, sea, rail, road, water, and electric connections. - Climate is San Francisco Temperate to make it authentic to the real life location. - Not sure how to change default latitude, so North American will have to do. - High voltage lines are BURIED and span the map, to use them you must connect to them either above ground or below. - Low voltage powerlines also span the map, some may be disconnected at points, or may be buried. If you're having trouble connecting roads to the highway, make sure there's no powerlines in the way.. - Map includes Easter eggs and stylistic choices. Some creative liberty was taken, such shipping connections and rail networks. - This location was chosen because of its beautiful landscape and abundant buildable land. - Road networks and farmland is heavily inspired by the IRL, but may not be precise.
Resources: - Map includes abundant agriculture resources, water, and some oil and ore resources as well.
Special Notes: - Use at your own risk, performance is NOT guaranteed! The map has an extremely heavy use of trees. - Known issue with the main river not completely flowing in the right direction. While it mostly flows into the lake, the northern portion doesn't always go down stream and flows off of the map.

I decided I'd see what I could do with the vanilla assets and the CS2 anarchy mod and experiment with different building strategies. I'm quite proud of it! Of course, the stadium exists in a void without any real city or realistic road network around it because I wanted to try it out as an experiment and I don't intend to make it part of a major city any time soon. But future builds may incorporate the lessons I learned during this exercise.
The parking lots are 100% functional by the way, now we just need more people to show up to the stadium.
No commentary on the video, just lake the last stadium build, but instead I included a looonnng time-lapse to show you how it was done and maybe provide inspiration for other players!
I like this video format because it's easy to edit and life is busy, so hopefully in the future I find more time to make the video more of a traditional commentary series, but until then, enjoy! I wanted to share the build but also show how it was built at the same time.
Feel free to leave questions in the comments!
Like an subscribe if you enjoyed. :) It helps me a lot, and it's a lot of fun!
Welcome! You have been elected as Wanaka's new mayor! Congratulations on your victory. It is your task to grow the town into a thriving city and keep the Kiwis happy. (Map by RaftermanNZ - youtube.com/@RaftermanNZ)
Installation: - Extract the files in your folder “AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Maps" - If maps doesn't exist in this folder, create one!
Map Information: - Map includes air, sea, rail, road, and electric connections. - High voltage lines are BURIED and span the map, to use them you must connect to them either above ground or below. - Starting tile uses the IRL road layout of the CBD in Wanaka, NZ. - Low voltage powerlines also span the map, some may be disconnected at points, or may be buried. - Map includes Easter eggs such as That Wanaka Tree and utilizes terrain data, rivers, and even true to life road networks. Some creative liberty was taken, such shipping connections and rail networks. - Wanaka was chosen because of its beautiful landscape and abundant buildable land. - If you don't like the IRL road layout on the start tile and want to start your own way, feel free to delete the template roads! I just thought it was cool to have true to life road networks in the build.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I Built a Fully Custom Baseball Stadium | Cities Skylines 2 - SpeedBuild/TimelapseRaftermanNZ2023-11-24 | This video is mostly just a highlight/time lapse of the build. Nothing fancy!
No commentary and I threw together the speedbuild pretty quickly so please forgive the craziness of the speedbuild, the timelapse may be a bit too fast, but I just wanted to quickly share my experiment before I went to into a deep turkey dinner sleep and the intent is to give a general idea of what I tried. Funny enough, most of the IRL measurements for the field mostly hold up in the game!
I had a wild idea after Thanksgiving so I decided to see what I could do with the dev tools. I managed to make a pretty convincing stadium! Enjoy! Hopefully this inspires others to create more cool things!

Huge thanks to the countless asset and mod creators for what they do. They've truly made this game my absolute favorite to play. ________________________________________________________________________
IMPORTANT REQUIRED MODS: Please subscribe to the required mods. For your convenience I have created a collection for you to download that is linked at the beginning of the description. Please also make sure you have the Mass Transit DLC.
81 Tiles - REQUIRED! Unless you want to be stuck with SH1 being a one lane highway, this mod will allow you to upgrade map's road connections. I wanted to keep the base map as realistic as possible, with some creative license as well.
Tree Anarchy - REQUIRED! THE MAP WILL NOT LOAD WITHOUT IT. I went overboard with the foliage...
Networks - REQUIRED! I detailed the map with rural electric networks and guardrails. Please see required mods list.
Assets - RECOMMENDED! Rocks, trees, bushes, the map wouldn't look great without those. Please see the required mods list.
Theme/LUT/Relight - RECOMMENDED! I don't currently have a theme mixer configuration to share, nor do I currently have recommendations for settings for color correction. I'm working on those and hope to share eventually, my settings are a bit wonky and I hardly understand what's going on with it. For now, please reference Relight and Theme instructions in Australia Coast HD or your favorite Theme/LUT. Thank you for understanding. ________________________________________________________________________
Kaikōura, New Zealand
Located on the east coast of New Zealand's South Island, Kaikōura boasts a unique combination of snow capped mountains and temperate Pacific coastal sea breeze. Two hours north of Christchurch the region is known for its diverse marine wildlife and rich geography. It's often a favorite among those who enjoy marine life including whale watchers and seal lovers alike.
The coastal town of Kaikōura sits on New Zealand's State Highway 1, a one lane highway that stretches the length of South Island, NZ. The region the town sits is seismically active and only recently recovered from a 7.8-magnitude earthquake which cut off train and vehicle access on 14 November 2016 until it could be fully restored a year later at a cost of NZ$1.1 billion. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Puter specs below:
