Many thanks to him and all those giving him suggestions for games to add, as well as testing his conversions. He has also tweaked many of his conversions such that the games now load much quicker and have extras such as intros etc. He even managed to produce an 11th hour fix for Tintin on the Moon. Awesome stuff!
hellboy73 has also added Gumball, Hostages and Muncher Eats Chewits to MultiLoad64. All excellent additions I'm sure you'll agree.
And thanks to redmist77, we not only have a working conversion of HardBall! in the collection now, but also conversions of all the Leaderboard games. Very nice work indeed.

Given that the root folder was becoming rather cluttered, its structure has been simplified and some folders have been renamed for better clarity. Here are the old to new path mappings:
Nearly 100 multiload game conversions are now included in the MultiLoad64 folder. Many thanks to $olo1870 and hellboy73 for their hard work to put this first batch of games together. As we add more multi-load games to future versions of the collection, they will be included here.
The AlternativeFormats\BINs folder now contains a further subfolder containing BIN files for use with Hucky (RGCD) cartridges. As these are limited to 64kb, they do not contain any added extras such as loading screens or music.
Loading screens for games which have them have been added to the Extras\Images\LoadingScreens folder.
Thumbnail images for the Sidekick64 device have been added to the Extras\Images\Sidekick64Thumbnails folder in TARGA (TGA) format. This includes an additional file in slideshow format where the game also has a loading screen. These should be placed in the same folder as the CRT files for the Sidekick64 to use them. Thanks to Frenetic for the addition of the slidehow feature to the Sidekick64 firmware and his general assistance and advice. When the new firmware update is ready, it will be available on the github project page here: github.com/frntc/Sidekick64
Where a game was released after the year 2000, this info has been added to the filename to allow more recent games to be identified more easily. Thanks to Snarko for the suggestion.

New Features or Changes ------------------------------------------
Added support for loading music and raster bars to the Magic Desk CRTs which are combined with loading screens for a simulated tape loading experience (these can be skipped with any key or either fire button just like the plain loading screen images). This means that games with loading music such as the classic Ocean loaders can now be enjoyed with the CRT files.
The MagicDeskBINs folder now contains two subfolders, one which contains plain 64kb files, along with another which contains larger files where games have added extras like loading screens or music. This allows more flexibility when choosing which EPROM size to use when writing the games to a physical cartridge.
Games using joystick port 1 for primary control are now denoted by having the (J1) suffix in their filename. This not only acts as a visual cue to the user, but is also automatically used by emulators such as LR-VICE to swap joystick ports (github.com/libretro/vice-libretro#joyport-control).
All screenshots have now been replaced with new images at 384x272 to ensure the borders are included. Many thanks to the volunteers who helped to perform this task (CentralPerk, CommFor, cringle, docbobo, nls, nc513, oldschooljoe, Remzi and ricky006).
The crunched PRGs no longer have the "-[ex]" suffix in their filename, as these were rather redundant and made the process of maintaining the collection a little harder than it needed to be (i.e. when renaming files in conjunction with the new primary control suffix above).

Well today that has been fixed! ;)
I have now modified the original Codenet source code such that it now handles the OL64 uncrunched PRG files, allowing them to be transferred and booted correctly. This video demonstrates an emulated environment using VICE and the RR-Net functionality and the modified Codenet executable.
I will release a finalised version along with the source code shortly.

(Commodore 64 / C64)StatMats Vidz2021-02-22 | Okay, so the day has finally come to release v2 of the OneLoad64 Games Collection for the Commodore 64 into to the wild! Apologies it's taken longer than originally anticipated! There are now 1001 unique games included. ;)
Anyway, the key points of note are:
The primary uncrunched games are now in Magic Desk CRT format for even quicker loading. These also support the display of loading screens, which wasn't always possible with the original PRG format due to space limitations. The uncrunched PRGs are still included for use when Magic Desk cartridge support is not available on a specific platform or device.
Screenshots are now included for all the core games in the collection. Future work is planned to improve these by replacing with larger resolution files which capture the full C64 screen, including the borders which are used by some games. But for now, they are the traditional 320x200.
Original cartridge images are now included in Extras\OriginalCRTs (thanks to Mayhem for his assistance in putting this set together)
Other cartridge images of interest (e.g. multiload games converted to CRT format etc) are now included in Extras\OtherCRTs Please see the Docs\history.txt and Docs\Readme.pdf files for more info.
Thanks to everyone who has supported the project thus far, it is really appreciated. I fully understand this collection is not for everyone, as many people prefer scene releases with intros and trainers. But I am still confident that there are use cases where people will also enjoy this type of collection. Now I just need to start prepping for v3! Please do keep the game suggestions coming in.

Where there isn't a loading screen for the actual C64 version, the Spectrum version has been used instead.

Having taken a look at the Magic Desk cartridge format specs and studying some other examples people have produced, I have now written a loader to have the uncrunched dumps as CRT files which allows for even faster loading.
Additionally I have also added support to display the loading screen before a games starts. This was something I really wanted to include for all games which have one, as I think it makes it a more complete preservation. But of course, these could only be shown before with the PRGs from v1 if they were still present in memory after the game had loaded, which in many cases they weren't. However, with the extra storage the Magic Desk cartridge format provides, it's straightforward to add a couple more memory banks to store the bitmap data. This will become the default uncrunched format in v2 of the collection.
I've also got quite a few other goodies planned for the new collection, including a screenshots pack and a tool to create custom compilations for devices such as the EasyFlash and TapeCart, and even as turbo .TAP files for recording back to real tape for those nutty enough to want to! v1 was just the beginning... ;)OneLoad64 v1.0 Demo (Commodore 64 / C64)StatMats Vidz2020-10-24 | And so here it is, the culmination of 6 months' work! I present the OneLoad64 Games Collection v1.0 for the Commodore 64!
The games in this collection load super-quick without any intros and such, making their use feel a little more like using cartridge images. It currently contains 520 unique games.
It contains a set of single-load games in PRG format, each of which has been dumped from an original image using the machine-code monitor in a C64 emulator. There's one PRG in the main folder to be used with emulators, as well as the BackBit and Ultimate II for the quickest loading times, even on real hardware! There's also crunched versions of the games for use on real-hardware in conjunction with devices such as the EasyFlash, SD2IEC, Tapecart etc. The details for each game dump can be found in an XML file in the Dumps folder along with each dump file. In this way, the project also serves to document the dumping process for future readers.

I'm off to play me some more IK+... ;)OneLoad64 Games Collection Demo (Commodore 64 / C64)StatMats Vidz2020-04-19 | I've had the intention of putting together a single-load PRG games collection for the Commodore 64 for a long time. Spending more time at home recently as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has given me the impetus to finally make my idea a reality. And thus the OneLoad64 Games Collection is born.
The key objectives of this project are:
- Have single-load games that can be loaded up quickly in C64 emulators with a minimum of fuss. - Make the loading experience feel a little more like using cartridge images.
The games have been dumped from the C64s memory using emulators and their built-in machine code monitors (I use both CCS64 and Vice for this task). The general process involves finding a games starting address and dumping memory right at the point the game is about to start. This allows a clean start of the game without any of the glitchiness associated with dumps or snapshots created just after the game has started running. I've written a tiny loader stub in 6502 assembly which utilises the technique of modifying the C64s jump vector table for auto-loading, which complements the ability of C64 emulators to inject them directly into the emulated C64s memory for fast loading. I have written a tool in C# which processes the memory dump and converts it into an executable PRG file.
Each entry includes the original image file (.TAP, .D64, .G64), the memory dump, an XML metadata file recording the dump specifics (e.g. initial memory bank and interrupt setup, patching notes etc), plus two PRG files:
- The first contains the tiny loader stub and is to be used with emulators. These are not intended for use on real hardware due to their size (they represent almost the full 64kb of memory). They may also not play nicely with other hardware such as cartridges due to their arbitrary modification of the system jump vector table.
- The second is a crunched self-extracting version which can be used on real hardware, using floppies or newer storage solutions such as the EasyFlash cartridge, SD2IEC or the 1541 Ultimate. These are created with the fantastic Exomizer compression tool which adds an additional short decrunching step when loading and are denoted by the trailing "-[ex]" in their filename.Mig-Gen Skin EditorStatMats Vidz2017-01-29 | This is the Mig-Gen skin editor component allowing the customisation of my AGS derivative native Amiga frontend for WHDLoad.
