I almost immediately got accused of stealing/copying another character, or people would compare my character to this other character, or mistake them for this character.And today, I set the record straight:File was, indeed based on an existing character, but it was a completely unrellated one from something completely different :')For real tho, the fact that whenever I uploaded a drawing or video with File in it the comments section would fill up with "OMG BILL CIPHER?!?!?!" really put me off of drawing them for YEARS even though I would still think about them a lot. And now that I have Disney+ I actually did start watching Gravity Falls and??? Bill is honestly nothing like File, other than the fact they both have a triangle with an eye in it lmao. Their personalities, motives, and the rest of their designs are not similar at all.Some more info on File:In my fictional universe, there is a species called Enforcers that are born in the Inbetween and it's their job to go to the different realities to make sure there are no time anomalies. They can shapeshift, but will always have one eye, which can turn into a mouth for them to eat. They will pick their 'true form' based on something they like or how they feel comfortable, but this will always have a 2d geometric shape for a head and a 3d body. File was assigned to Earth, but wasn't great at their job. Have you ever misplaced any dollar bills? A fiver fallen out of your pocket on the way home? That was File! They LOVE the taste of paper money, specifically American money with the eye of providence symbol on it, that's why they chose that form! As an interdimensional time-cop they have no need for its monetary value, but they like it as a tasty snack instead! After this was found out by their superiors, however, File was instead assigned to the Wastelands, a dimension that is essentially hell but for animals.
