All Roland jam - TR-08, TB-03 and J-6 in action BL8D 2024-11-01 | In this jam I used my 3 small Roland machines to see what I can get out of them with the help of the OXI One sequencer.OXi One can midi sequence all the machines which is fun, because working with their own sequencers has always been a pain in the ass for me. TR-08 receives not only trigs but also velocity which was a nice surprise for me.The sounds go into my modular where I apply effects, filters and mix them to the stereo outputs. FIRE! - a Flame Fire drum module performance BL8D 2024-10-13 | In this jam I used the Flame Fire drum module as sound source and tried to figure out how I can work with it in a minimal moodular setup.The patch looked like this:- Bass drum goes to individual output and making a side chain effect on Endorphin.es Ghost- Sound 7 (whistle-like melody) goes to individual output, into Tiptop Z5000 P.MOD- all other sounds to main stereo out, into Monsoon for pitched delay and reverb- and then everything except the bassdrum into Ghost as an end of chain effect.Enjoy! It's when you drive home night alone and you remember the summer that's just gone. You recall your memories, the places you've seen, the joy you had but also the friends you've lost. Analog RYTM - Euclidean sequences BL8D 2024-07-28 | I used the euclidean sequencers of the AR in this jam to create rhythm changes and fills in the pattern. All sounds are analog, no samples or external effects used. The AR has 2 euclidean sequencers but I've never used them so far. Practicing with them I see how useful they can be for spicing up a pattern with fills, extra steps or having and extra mute function.
Polyend Tracker + Roland TB-03 dub techno jam - Unused Stations BL8D 2024-05-04 | This track was made for @HardwareJams "3 body problem" weekend challenge, but it was actually inpired more by another Netflix series: Das Signal. First I just wanted to make a dub techno piece and only had the bass drum at the beginning. Then when I saved it I used the auto naming function on the Tracker, which came up with this: "unused stations". It gave me the idea to bring in the sounds of some abandoned radio stations that send their voices in the space without anyone listening them. I sampled the built-in radio, used 2 tracks for this. The first one has a longer voice sample with LP filter and long LFO on the cutoff + reverb, played back in pingpong loop mode (so it's basically endless and ever changing). The second one has a sliced voice, with random slice playback and random pitch effects. These two put a carpet under the track with an ominous, desolate feel.The TB-03 is sequenced by the Tracker as a midi instrument, the audio goes back to the Tracker and uses its master reverb. The Tracker and TB-03 together with a power bank are a very nice portable combo that you can listen via the Tracker's audio output. No mixer needed.I plan to make a longer version, taking my time with them.Enjoy and leave a comment!
Polyend Tracker Techno Jam - mellow observation BL8D 2024-04-21 | This is my second track with the Polyend Tracker. I tried to put together a techno track with evolving patterns and some live performance action. I also used the built-in radio to record a part from a choir singing a prayer on a catholic radio and used it as a granular sample in patterns 25-28. This is where it's at now. Riffin - DFAM and Erica Bassline jam from scratch BL8D 2023-06-24 | I am back to HWJ Weekend Challenge with this simple jam from scratch. I tried to keep it minimal, so I used the DFAM and Erica Bassline as sound sources. Bassline goes into Nux Atlantic Delay and Hologram Microcosm. Dark Glitches - Analog Rytm & Pulsar-23 jam BL8D 2022-11-06 | Made for HWJ Beads samples challenge. I just wanted to try how these two beasts work together. AR sends gate signal via MIDI to P-23 tracks. Track 2 of AR contains various samples from the Beads sample pack. I used only one track for this with trig conditions of sample slots. The first performance pad (and the Quick Knob) changes the sample slots of this track, making variations of it. That's all, hope you enjoy it!
