Gang Green w/ Onyx Ill Murder You Music Video; lost archival raw footage film reel Rare Onyx Audio Archive 2021-01-28 | I found this a bunch of years ago when doing my research work for the Onyx DVD that was released back in 2008. I thought it would be cool to share, especially since there's so much of X-1 here (RIP). This footage was filmed by famed music video director Zodiac Fishgrease who went on to film a ton of hip hop music videos. I received the master of this on a Panasonic MII cassette and had it professionally converted to DV and the rest is history. It doesn't get much rarer than this! Note: Some of this footage was also used in the "Walk In New York" video from Onyx. Onyx - Rob & Vic (original title: Love of Money) with original King of New York OST sample Rare Onyx Audio Archive 2020-09-07 | This is a very early version of the 1998 "Shut 'Em Down" album track "Rob & Vic". There is an even earlier version with a rock beat to it. This was the later version, however it was changed by the time "Shut Em Down" hit shelves because Onyx could not get sample clearance as the beat is sampling a music track from the 1990 Christopher Walken film "The King of New York". I personally prefer this version out of all 3 of them. The one that ultimately made it to "Shut Em Down" was very good, but I still prefer this more dramatic beat personally.This version WAS on the Shut Em Down advance promo copy, however the mixing quality was pretty poor and the drums were way too distorted due to volume irregularities. I managed to find this on a DAT tape, before the mixing issues were done to the song, so this is the best quality of this rare song that will ever exist!http://www.onyxdomain.com

Recorded for the Who's the Man soundtrack (as seen in the footage from the Onyx DVD), Biggie's song ended up being his first single "Party and Bullshit". Huge thanks to DJ JS1 who was nice enough to give it to Sticky Fingaz of Onyx. A higher quality version was put on the Onyx album "Cold Case Files 2" available at OnyxDomain.com
