Bryce to Turkey, TX Supercell. 6-8-2025. Amazing Structure! Allan Gwyn 2025-06-27 | This was a monster supercell that developed just SE of Amarillo and travelled SE towards Turkey TX. All the ingredients were there for tornadoes but nothing obvious formed other than a lot of lightning and large hail. Chasers: Allan & Lori Gwyn along with Shawna Dettle.

Tornadic Supercell, Perryton, TX to Durham, OK. June 17, 2025 Allan Gwyn 2025-06-18 | We got onto this storm when it was just west of Balko, OK in the Oklahoma panhandle. The storm was behind the cold front and dryline so it was mainly a hail producer. We tried to stay ahead of the storm but it was difficult because the forward motion increased to 45 mph. As the storm approached Higgins, TX is crossed into the warm sector and strengthened into a tornadic storm. Texhoma OK to Spearman TX Supercell June 6, 2025 Allan Gwyn 2025-06-07 | This was an intense and long track Supercell that we intercepted just to the north of Texhoma Ok. Amazing structure and rotation but it struggled to produce a truly visible tornado despite a good environment. We tracked this storm to Spearman until darkness set in. Chasers: Allan and Lori Gwyn

Bailey County TX Tornadoes April 25, 2025 Allan Gwyn 2025-04-26 | We set up a little bit east of the wall cloud of a slow moving Supercell west of Littlefield TX. We saw multiple tornadoes, at least one of which was multi-vortex. Chasers: Allan and Lori Gwyn
Roberts-Ochiltree Supercells & Tornadoes May 23rd, 2007 Allan Gwyn 2024-11-30 | Straight from the archives this chase was on a dry line day in the eastern Texas Panhandle. Wind shear and CAPE were more than adequate for rotating storms. The main storm was in Roberts county just east of Highway 70 that tracked to the northeast producing at least two, possibly three tornadoes.
June 8th, 1995 Kellerville TX tornado and Mobeetie feedlot damage. Allan Gwyn 2024-11-29 | This tornado formed just on the north side of McLean, TX and moved to the northeast towards Allison TX. It impacted the Mobeetie Feedlot causing significant damage. Chasers: Allan Gwyn and Rich Vaughn.
Tornado warned storm, Dimmitt TX, 9-21-24 Allan Gwyn 2024-09-22 | This storm formed west of Dimmitt and rapidly became Supercellular as it moved towards the city. This was the second supercell to hit Dimmitt with the first storm dropping 2"+hail! This storm produced a lot of gustnado activity as it moved to the east towards Nazareth and Tulia.
May 19th 2024 Tornadic Supercell Near Custer City, OK. Full Chase Allan Gwyn 2024-05-23 | This is the full chase of the tornadic supercell that developed near Canadian and tracked east southeast towards the OKC metro area. The storm produced a large multiple vortex wedge tornado west of Custer City. We ended our chase as the storm moved NE of Weatherford. Chasers: Allan and Lori Gwyn.

Amarillo landspout 5-12-24 Allan Gwyn 2024-05-13 | This is the brief landspout tornado a few miles NW of Amarillo. Claude TX, Supercell. Weak tornadoes and large hail. 6-21-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-06-23 | We got on this storm north of Claude as it was getting organized and started moving SE. Beaver OK, Supercell. Strong rotation, funnels. 6-17-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-06-20 | This was an intense supercell in the eastern OK panhandle. It had a strongly rotating wall cloud and produced several funnel clouds but nothing ever condensed down. The storm was soon swallowed by the line of storms coming in from the west. Lake Sumner, NM Supercell, Structure, Funnel and Timelapse 5-27-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-05-28 | Over in New Mexico again looking for supercells and found one near Lake Sumner. Clovis, NM, Supercell 5-26-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-05-28 | Another chase day in eastern New Mexico. Set up on a supercell just north of Clovis that had some decent rotation and even a very brief tornado. Amarillo, TX Tornado Warned Supercell 5-18-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-05-20 | Here is the longer version of the chase. This was an amazing storm on a marginal tornado setup but the directional shear was quite good. I got one short lived funnel to the northwest of River Road High School and I may have captured a brief tornado touchdown northwest of the Asarco Plant. I saw some power flashes under a tight rotation but it is hard to tell if it was a true spin up. Allan Gwyn
Tornadic Supercell, Amarillo, TX 5-18-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-05-19 | A beautifully structured supercell formed west of Amarillo and tracked slowly east-northeast and passed just north of the city. It had amazing structure and produced at least one brief funnel just north of the city.
Benjamin, TX Supercell 5-7-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-05-09 | We tracked this nearly stationary supercell that sat on top of Benjamin TX with 2" hail and 70 mph winds. Although mid and low level winds were fairly weak the extreme CAPE still allowed for some storm rotation. We never saw any actual tornado touchdown but there was still some nice rotation to the storm.

Tulia to Floydada TX Supercell & Funnels 4-25-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-04-27 | This supercell formed SW of Canyon TX and made it's move to the SE towards Tulia. Even though the dewpoints remained in the upper 40s and low 50s the storm still managed to produce several funnel clouds and baseball hail. The conditions were just marginal enough that we never saw any contact with the ground from any of the funnels. Chasers: Allan Gwyn and James Anderson.
McLean, TX Supercells and Hail 2-26-23 Allan Gwyn 2023-03-05 | This is an early season Tornado Watch in the eastern Texas Panhandle. I intercepted a couple of tornado warned supercells and got beat up by some hail up to the size of half dollar! Despite the extreme shear I missed out on any tornadoes this time.
Marfa Lights 10-06-2022 Allan Gwyn 2022-10-08 | This was our first trip to see the lights and although we didn't get a spectacular show we did see a few... I managed to get a pair of the lights on video but missed a couple of others. Notice at the end of the video how the lights change color to a much more vivid orange-red.

Paducah to Crowell, Supercell and Tornadoes Allan Gwyn 2022-05-07 | Another awesome chase as we got onto this storm SW of Paducah right after it did a cell split. Tornadic Supercell Tuttle, OK to OKC 4-23-2022 Allan Gwyn 2022-04-24 | Intercepted this tornadic supercell just south of Minco, OK and tracked it to just west of Tuttle where the rotation tightened up and rain-wrapped just as it was about to tornado. There was a brief and confirmed tornado near Tuttle with this storm. The storm then became an intense HP supercell as it held it's rotation and moved across the southern parts of the OKC metro.
Logan NM, May 30, 2005 Supercell Allan Gwyn 2022-02-28 | This was a right moving and photogenic supercell NW of Logan NM. It did produce a couple of very brief and small tornadoes but it was the cloud structure that was the most impressive. Chasers: Allan Gwyn
Tornadic Supercell in SW Oklahoma 10-10-2021 INTENSE Allan Gwyn 2021-10-11 | We were out chasing on a Moderate Risk day to the NW of Lawton OK when we got in position on a dangerous HP supercell. I got slowed down by other chasers and was not able to get out ahead of the fast moving wall cloud and got hit by a couple of small tornadoes wrapped in the rain. Crowell TX Supercell 5-13-05 Structure, Funnels and Lightning Allan Gwyn 2021-07-14 | A fun chase in the SE Panhandle with some tremendous lightning on an HP supercell. This storm did have a confirmed tornado but we could never see it due to the rain wrapped nature of the storm.
Lawton to Marlow, OK Cyclic Supercell with Tornadoes and Funnels. June 4, 2005 Allan Gwyn 2021-06-18 | The was a great early June chase in SW Oklahoma on a Moderate Risk day! We caught up to a dominant supercell that had already dropped one confirmed tornado and we got to watch it cycle several times. Campo CO, Tornado with supercell structure and time-lapse. 5-29-21 Allan Gwyn 2021-05-31 | Great chase in SE Colorado with a time-lapse of the approaching storm. Muleshoe to Sudan TX Brief Tornadoes and Large Hail May 17, 2021 Allan Gwyn 2021-05-18 | This was a Tornado Watch day for the SW panhandle and we got on our first supercell in Bailey county about 10 miles SW of Muleshoe. We saw several brief and weak tornadoes and one even formed about 300 yds to our south. Then we repositioned on a new supercell but missed the pretty Sudan tornado will punching the core where we found tennis ball hail.
Amarillo TX, Supercell, Hail & Tornadoes. 6-21-04 Allan Gwyn 2021-04-20 | My chase video of the devastating storm that pummeled the west side of Amarillo and points south with baseball to grapefruit size hail. This storm also produced multiple weak and brief tornadoes with the strongest tornado rated an EF1 just east of Canyon. I stayed out of the big hail until I got down by Wayside and took several major hits from very large hail.
Happy TX, Tornadoes 5-5-2002 Allan Gwyn 2021-04-10 | This is the supercell that formed at least two tornadoes the second of which tore through Happy and sadly killed two people. I tracked the storm to the east to the edge of Palo Duro canyon and caught several gustnadoes and a couple of more brief tornado touch downs before the storm moved out over the canyon. Estelline TX, to Wellington TX, Supercell and Funnels 5-20-19 Allan Gwyn 2021-04-09 | This was a High Risk day for tornadoes in the SE and East Texas Panhandle and we managed to intercept the best looking storm near Estelline TX. The storm tried to produce and brief tornado but only managed a few funnels and some very large hail. Fast storm motions and the road network prevented us from following NE of Wellington TX. Nazareth to Happy Supercell and Tornado 3-13-21 Allan Gwyn 2021-03-14 | We started out on the isolated, developing supercell to the SW of Nazareth that was already showing good signs of rotation on radar. The storm was intensifying rapidly but was also moving NE at 45 mph! After witnessing several areas of rotating scud clouds we had to try to reposition to the NE near Happy where the storm developed a large wedge tornado west of Happy. Wheeler TX Supercell and Funnels 6-12-97 Allan Gwyn 2021-03-10 | This was a really exciting early June chase along the dry line in the eastern Texas panhandle. A slow moving supercell formed just to the west of Wheeler with incredible structure. The only fly in the ointment that day was the lack of strong surface winds which allowed the storm to become outflow dominant. There was one reported brief tornado but mainly just a lot of high base funnels. Chaser: Allan Gwyn
Valle de Oro tornado May 11, 1991 Allan Gwyn 2021-03-06 | This was one of my earliest tornadoes that I caught on video. Most of Amarillo saw this tornado for the few minutes it was on the ground in Valle de Oro. It never threatened Amarillo proper but was very visible for long distances.
Rush Springs to Duncan, OK Supercells and brief tornado. May 25, 1997 Allan Gwyn 2021-03-05 | Some good ingredients came together this day for rotating supercells with large hail and tornadoes. I turned south out of Chickasha, OK and intercepted a beautiful storm west of Rush Springs. I broke off of that storm and barely missed a tornado the did damage in Duncan but caught up with the storm just east of Duncan where is produced a nicely rotating wall cloud and a brief tornado. The tornado never condensed all the way to the ground but debris was lofted into the air and it stayed in the air for several minutes. Rated an F0 and on the ground for less than a minute. Found an Armadillo... Allan Gwyn 2021-02-19 | I was out deer hunting back in 2011 and instead of finding any deer I came across this armadillo. It was padding it's burrow for the winter and didn't seem to care that I was only 5 or 6 feet away. It was kind of fun watching him before wandered away. Shot on my Iphone 5 at the time.

Dalhart to Masterson TX, Funnel and Supercell 5-16-16 Allan Gwyn 2020-10-03 | This chase day started with an early supercell north of Dalhart that had a confirmed tornado but from our vantage point we never saw a debris cloud. Nevertheless it was an impressive funnel. After following the squall line to Cactus, we raced ahead to another supercell near Masterson and watched it mature into a large hail producer. Groom TX, 4-16-15 Gustnadoes and storm structure Allan Gwyn 2020-10-02 | This was a marginal day for tornadoes but the setup was good for severe storms. Large hail and strong winds were the primary threats but several storms isolated themselves and started to rotate. There were at least two confirmed tornadoes but also a lot of gustnado activity. Channing Tx, Tornadic Supercell 6-6-14 Allan Gwyn 2020-09-18 | Good chase on a day with a good setup for severe weather. Once the storms formed they took awhile to really start rotation but we were on the best one. It was tornado warned and we are pretty sure it dropped a tornado towards the end of the video about the time it wrapped up in the rain. Tried to follow it but it was in an area with no road access. Guthrie TX, 5-16-99 Supercell and Tornado Allan Gwyn 2020-09-17 | An old school chase from back in the day when we didn't have the onboard tech that we do now days. Tracked down a tornadic supercell in the far SE panhandle that dropped at least one confirmed tornado and possibly others that we couldn't see.
