Kirby Mass Attack: BrawlBall Boss Theme (Double Mix with Targets! from SSBM)
updated
So many years after uploading the full OST of Zool, I noticed the GameGear and Master System tracks were complete absent from YouTube.
It's about time we finally fix that!
In 2021, I streamed the remake of the first #AcornArchimedes game ever played.
#ZoolReDimensioned continues to deliver and leave me babbling at the smallest of aesthetic improvements. From plants visibly growing on screen to achievements for doing gardening (what), Fruit World goes from being a do-or-die hurdle that game overs frequently to a fast and reflex-driven level... still with a BANANA OF DEATH!
I used to dread coming here, and whether I've tempered as a gamer, or the level just flows better, this level is energetic and fun instead of overwhelming.
So many years after uploading the full OST of Zool, I noticed the DOS tracks were complete absent from YouTube.
Guess it's time to give Patrick Phelan's iconic arrangements the DOS upload treatment now too.

#ZoolReDimensioned, what an absolute delight this game is, and World 2 not only showcases how dynamic the aesthetics of this game can be, but also the quality of life changes that make it less brutal and FAR more replayable.
While the original has a tendency to be unforgiving, ReDimensioned encourages repeated attempts at the challenges. THAT is good design.
It's an awesome alternative way of playing that was started in 2018, where you aim to save as many Mudokons as possible without dying once. Which, under pressure, is VERY hectic.
And as of 21-11-22, HiimDawg has verified this run for me.
I think I just made a new personal best! You're a gem, thanks a bunch!

#ZoolReDimensioned, what an absolute delight this game is, and it only seems fitting to introduce it alongside the intended intro the LAST time this game was being remade.
But enough about Ninjabread Man, it's time to head back to Sweet Land, spin through jellies, and take on the dreaded Hum-bugger! PREPARE YOURSELF!

August feels like it was ages ago, but we still have a consistent trend with this one. So even after the run ended, I took the time to see where I've been going wrong.

The last Robot Master from MegaMan 6 is by far one of my favourite. Be it for their lore in the extended canon, the tranquil aesthetic of their stage, the underwater section which turns upside down, or the boss being called "part man, part horse-fish", the thing which brings it all together is the music.
And honestly, this is one of the most relaxing MegaMan tunes there is!
Original tracks used:
"Ancient City" by Mari Yamaguchi & the Capcom Sound Team (Rockman 6 - NES & Complete Works)

August feels like it was ages ago, but a lot after my run kept the practice footage engaging for both myself and a very vocal chat, so I've gone the extra mile and turned this one into a super-cut/montage, featuring the rest of the stream AFTER the run ended.

Let's end this part with a bang because Rye has made an absolute masterpiece of a remake. #RaymanIsBack, after so long.
Here it is, the final challenge, the final hurdle, the remaining one percent from reaching 100%... the True Boss Rush.

So many years after uploading the full OST of Zool, I noticed the DOS tracks were complete absent from YouTube, and depending on the configuration of the sound card ("Adlib" or default sound card), there are actually two different versions of the title screen music.
I figured... why not just splice the two together?!
Oh I absolutely love this tune.
Great melody, great baseline, great thematic styling.
That's it, nothing more to say.
Original tracks used:
"Oil Field" by Mari Yamaguchi, Kinuyo Kamashita & the Capcom Sound Team (Rockman 6 - NES & Complete Works)
September 1st last year, I showcased @Ryemanni's first fan game, "Rayman: The Dark Magician's Reign of Terror". However, this was after having completely recorded the Rayman 1 reimagining: "Rayman Redemption".
With the playthrough officially in the post-game segment, I have a "super-cut" of my Demise run which I streamed on my twitch earlier this year. A total of 9 hours and 27 minutes - across four to five streams - condensed into a 30 minute highlight video. This was an insane endeavour that I didn't think I could accomplish... and I surprised myself.
Enjoy!

As a slight revisit, Palmtree Panic was originally called "Salad Plain" in the earliest builds found, and the past music was differently instrumented compared to the final arrangement. Decided I'd try my hand at a slightly different version of my JP OST medley, and made this alternate mix!
"Palmtree Panic" tracks from the Japanese/Eurpoean OST by Naofumi Hataya and Masafumi Ogata.
I've been making content, both on YouTube and Twitch collectively, for nearly 12 years now. And this one stream - all intended to showcase a demo of a MegaMan fan-game - is by far the LEAST recoverable experience I have had during those 12 years.
Out of a 3 and a half hour stream, I wasn't even able to recover 35 minutes of footage. And after extensive discussion and testing with fellow streamers, it turned out that this stream fell apart the way that it did... was simply because I uploaded OBS (don't update to version 28).
So... let's see how it looked for the viewers! ENJOY!

In 2013, a game dev company called @Steel Minions made some concepts for a Zool reimagining that never saw the light of day.
youtube.com/watch?v=JyrNPAS8zh0
During one of their concept videos, they featured an a capella cover of Sonic Basher, one of the tracks from Zool. So I decided to turn it into a mash up.
And especially, since a lot of my near-complete projects require a lot of attention, I figured it was worthwhile giving my viewers, old and new, and idea of just how much I have in the works.
Thanks for your patience, love you all!

The robotic samurai himself has an iconic stage theme for MegaMan 6, and while some are less memorable, this is by far immediately recognisable.
The shamisen, the flutes, the baseline, that heavy percussion... and yes, I'm still talking about the NES rendition; chiptune can still sell the idea of an instrument really well. That in itself made making this mix so much fun.
Original tracks used:
"Impregnable Fortress" by Mari Yamaguchi, Kinuyo Kamashita & the Capcom Sound Team (Rockman 6 - NES & Complete Works)
It's an awesome alternative way of playing that was started in 2018, where you aim to save as many Mudokons as possible without dying once. Which, under pressure, is VERY hectic... and once the run ends, I'm now practicing future areas.
So from what I understand, exiting to the save game screen multiple times caused a quicksave/checkpoint glitch that paused the game every time the Blue icon showed up, and even after the run ended, the save file was corrupted.

This theme has such a lively tone to it. It's not quite calming, it's not quite bouncy, but it is quite relaxing to listen to. I absolutely love it.
An underrated tune for the shield-user of this game.

It took me until a few months ago to discover certain tracks are called "TIM" because they were original arrangements from Tim Wright, with the "LEM" tracks being compositions from Brian Johnston.
Tim 2 in particular lives rent-free in my head as an iconic piece of gaming music, and I guess I have Mr Wright to thank for that.

A double mix overlay - using the "Void of Bones" theme, from "Rayman 3" GBA, and the "Fiery Depths" track, from the GameBoy Colour version of "Rayman" - remixed by me.
An easy similarity to miss, but yes, both of these tracks are *based on* the Cave of Bad Dreams theme. Rather than mix the GameBoy arrangement with the console version, I wanted to see how it would blend with the more eerie tone of Void of Bones.
It took some work, but definitely created something unique, and I'm pretty jazzed about that.

So... what the heck is a "nanupher"? Well, that's the kind of flower Rayman rides in through the middle section of the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava.
Initially I tried mixing this level theme with Whale Bay, but quickly realised that this track from TSOR&L fit the GBC melody PERFECTLY!
