November 5th and 6th my colleague Jaap Veenstra of Aplha-Audio.net and myself were asked to do a presentation on the Noir & Blanc Brussels Hifi Show 2022. I was already asked if a video registration of my presentation would become available. I didn’t expect it to be registered but Jaap was so kind to register and edit not only his very interesting presentation on networks for audio, but also my presentation. Om 12:00 begint het met live muziek: Cousin Hatfield, een band die bestaat uit Nathalie Schaap, Jos van Ringen en Mark Schimmel.

Kwart voor een volgt mijn lezing met als titel: Streaming Audio; en alles wat je nog niet wist. Streamer, DLNA, Roon, Network Bridge, Streaming DAC’s en zo voort; netwerk-audio: het lijkt zo ingewikkeld. Er zijn echter geen geheimen, alleen dingen die je misschien nog niet weet.

Om half vier een lezing van Eelco Grimm met als titel: Observaties over lagefrequent-weergave in luisterruimtes. Eelco is niet alleen een van de oprichters van Grimm Audio, hij is ook onderzoeker en docent aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht waar hij Muziek & Technologie doceert. Hij is onlangs door de Audio Engineering Society een AES Fellowship Award toegekend voor zijn werk aan standaards voor luidheidsnormalisatie. Een aanrader dus.

Ook deze dag begint met muziek. Om 12 uur start het Ensemble Ferme Celli, vier cello’s gespeeld door Frank Wakelkamp, Rosalie Ivanov-Seinstra, Marjan van Randeraat en Sanne de Graaf.

Dutch Audio Event 2022

The Hans Beekhuyzen Channel 2022-09-27 | It’s the time of the year again that all kinds of local audio shows are organised all over the world. In my country we have the Dutch Audio Event, the successor of earlier shows at the same venue, De Koningshof in Veldhoven. The organisers have made it to a very successful show, having 66 exhibitors in a total of 62 conference rooms.

Chord Hugo TT 2 and M Scaler
