I've been working on this for the past few months and it was a great project to test the capabilities of Eevee (I also used Cycles for vector passes but let's keep that our little secret). A lot of love goes out to the entire Blender development team as well as the awesome community! Thanks for existing guys.The story:Inspired by HBO-series „Chernobyl“. The „crown of evolution“ has brought itself to their knees with a nuclear accident that was and still is a serious threat to human life. A simple cockroach can defy the danger and we're following it on its path through the partly destroyed, partly still intact areas of the power plant. When it gets to the destroyed reactor and flies into the sky, a flock of birds flies by. It seems to have passed by but one bird is a little late and eventually eats the cockroach. The cockroach that easily survived an incident that's existence-threatening to humans, gets killed by a bird that is completely harmless to humans. Oh, what an irony. Might that be the irony of death?THANKS A LOT to TheSoundFXGuy who (I bet you wouldn't guess) worked on the amazing sound design. Sci-Fi Drone VFX + Breakdown | Blender EANIIX 2020-06-20 | Hey there, I've been working on this for some time now to get more familiar with the VFX workflow of Blender and Resolve.I also used this project to test the capabilities of E-Cycles and the results are mindblowing. A single frame took about 12-15 minutes with regular Cycles, with E-Cycles I was able to cut down the time to about 4 min 15 seconds per frame. There's just no way you would reach similar improvements if you invested the money in hardware instead (in my case 299$ for the RTX version). If you look closely you still see some wobbling which is caused by denoising but this scene was rendered with 200 samples only which is pretty insane for this amount of particles and quite a lot of bounce light.So if you always wanted to speed up your render times I would recommend checking out the Blender Market page of E-Cycles :) blendermarket.com/products/e-cycles

All The Right Moves EANIIX 2015-03-26 | Yeah, only a short one this time, but I have planned some big things for the future.
