Persona 2K20 - Captain Calnus vs Cody Omega

Cody Omega (our villain here today)
Krimson (short black hair, red jacket)
Mercer (long brown hair, red jacket)
Katheryn Lee (purple android looking one)

These are all CAWs I've created, and this video is inspired by an idea I thought of for a storyline.

Captain Calnus and Cody Omega were once tag team partners. Best friends. However, a string of losses caused tension between the two. Cody walked out on a match, leaving Calnus to the wolves, but appeared to patch things up. Things came to a head when Calnus became the Number One Contender to Cody's Cruiserweight Championship, and defeated him.

One month later, Calnus had a Champion vs Champion Match with the WWE Heavyweight Champion, Chris Aleksander, someone running a cult-like faction with a God-Complex. Cody attacked his long-time friend in the match, solidifying his turn to villainy, joining the Church of Aleksander alongside Krimson, Mercer, and Katheryn. Completely changing his look and attitude, the friend Calnus knew appeared to be long gone.

I'd been playing Persona 5 at the time, and this led me to a silly idea I had where Calnus, whose gimmick is very much videogame inspired, to have to go into Cody's palace and defeat his shadow to bring him back to his senses, as his sense of reality has become warped. With 2K20's goofy arenas, I thought it was the perfect crossover.

While the "palace" is very cyberspace, Krimson and Mercer's appearances are very different here to signify that despite joining alongside them, he sees the two of them as something different, untrustworthy.

Alexis and Crimson Dream are on/off tag partners with Calnus, while Colin and PAIN are involved due to having personal issues against Cody and the rest of the faction.

Captain Kohl was Captain Calnus' former tag team partner before respectfully going their separate ways, hence his involvement, the perfect candidate for the ending sequence.

I had a lot of fun editing this and trying to match the style of Persona 5 with the effects they use. I wound up having to recreate a lot of assets such as the victory screen.

This is mostly just a goofy video for an elaborate inside joke, but I thought it'd be fun to put it up here too. I DO have a Part 2 in mind, buuuut it may be a while, as this one alone took me about a month to record all the footage and edit.

If ya'll enjoy this as much as I did making it, then damn I count that as a win hah.

NSignus 2018-04-26 | The final part of my WWE 2k18 CAW Showcase mostly includes my newest creations from the past 2 games and, as usual, some brand new creations made in 2k18.

In order of appearance:

"All-Star" Adam Christopher, with a slightly adjusted demeanor. Now referring to himself as a Warrior, he's tired of others referring to him as a "flash in the pan" and "flavor of the month"

Katheryn Lee, the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion returns with a new and improved moveset, ready to inflict more pain on her competition.

"The Real Man" Vincent Diantonio returns after some time away, forming quite the sleazy tag team with Travis Edwards.

Taryn, a rough 'n tough brawler with some MMA experience is here to continue knocking opponents out and taking their titles.

Dee is back and as manic as ever, ready to make her opponents tap out or pass out. No preference.

Logan Graves, 1/3 of The Downfall is back with the same hard hitting offense as before, ready to send his opponents to the darkest depths of the underground.

Julia Cross, the brains behind The Downfall, the militant leader who sends her boys to do the dirty work, is ready to manipulate her way back into the NXT Women's Championship picture.

Derrik Vice is back with a new demeanor and attitude. He's not about the high flying anymore. Now he's been recruited by Graves and Cross as the cruiserweight and occasional tag partner for The Downfall.

Tyler Jackson, with his infinitely expanding ego, is back, with a new haircut, albeit the same bad attitude. He's ditched the idea of being a loner and is embracing teaming up with a familiar "Club".

Former Cruiserweight Champion Ryan O'Connor is back and ready to get back into the title picture after returning from a nasty shoulder injury.

"The One Man Army" Irvine Maher has had a quiet year, but is ready to deliver pain in several ways to his opponents, and has set his sights on the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

Masao Sanada has moved on up from NXT and, along with manager AKIRA, has joined up with Seth Rollins and "The" Brian Kendrick in Los Ingobernables as their silent muscle. He looks to continue his dominant reign as Openweight Champion.

Katsuya Shibata is one of NXT's newest residents, bringing attitude and swagger along with him. "The Demon of Tokyo" is not to be underestimated. Calm and manipulative outside the ring, he makes up for it with his lasting stamina and hard hitting lariats in the ring.

Tayra Brynhildr looks to bring with her the attitude and ferocity read about from Valkyries in Norse Mythology. She has taken a liking to the NXT Women's Championship and doesn't look to be giving it up anytime soon.

Not much is known about KAWAL. The Filipino masked wrestler only recently debuted, teasing a tag team with Kalisto before quickly turning on him, seeming to align himself with Los Ingobernables. He hasn't done much yet in the Cruiserweight Division, but his innovative offense seems to imply that he is a force to be reckoned with.

Having just recently returned from time away, Michael Magnus looks to bring dark days to NXT. Extremely manipulative behind the curtain, he goads fellow wrestlers into taking actions that will benefit him, whether it's causing two others to have animosity so they're out of his way, paying other wrestlers off, or other dastardly acts, he vows for the entire roster to expect the "Wrath of Magnus".

WWE 2k18 Universe Mode Custom Smackdown! Opening

WWE 2K18 CAW Showcase Part 2

NSignus 2018-04-12 | Part 2 of my CAW Showcase has a mix of some returning veterans with some repackaged gimmicks, as well as a couple new faces.

In order of appearance:

The "Ace", the Game Changer, Cody Omega.

Bad News Ben, pursuing singles action under the guise of "The Master of the Love Tap" and "The Man of Dreams", Crimson Dream.

"CH Colin", now going fully by Colin Harrison III. Less about flaunting his money and focusing more on winning titles and being "The Greatest. Ever."

Professor Pain has retired his PhD, and rather than being Colin's personal psychiatrist, is now focused on delivering (and in some cases, receiving...) Pain.

Captain Calnus returns once again, along with his equally charismatic partner, Captain Kole, to show the NXT roster that "Team Treasure Planet" is back and better than ever.

Karen Frost makes her long awaited return after some time away with a slightly new look and a new arsenal.

Amy Reese is hot off the presses of her Smackdown! debut and is ready to give a "Photo Finish" to the rest of the women's division.

Travis Edwards ditches the neon mohawk and obnoxious music to get in tough with his sleezy side.

Brandon Lassiter and Trevor Pierce return to continue wrecking HAVOC on the tag team division.

NXT's newest tag team, Brian Hawkins and Damian Curtis, "Chthonic Theory" are here to make a name for themselves. With their Underworld themed naming convention, they're ready to show the world what they can do.

NXT's newest women's roster member, Alexis Smite is here to show off her high flying skill-set and take home the gold.

Sumir Khan, after spending time away, returns from his excursion, bulked up and ready to destroy any competition in his way.

Shane Davidson returns to continue showing the roster that he's better at being them than they are. Stealing finisher and stomping skullls, he's ready for that leap to the World Championship.

Ethan Daniels returns from excursion with new gear, a new look, and a new attitude. Gone is the ego of being a 2nd generation wrestler, in comes the ego of hunting titles to add to his "collection." The former NXT Tag Team Champion is here to stake his claim for singles gold.
