There we a couple rides I missed out on because I went during the maintenance part of the season but overall it was an eye opener for sure ! Hoping to do more stuff like this in the future. The big ones I missed out on are everything other than Gold Striker at California’s Great America. Silver Bullet and a couple others at Knotts. But that gives me a reason to go back in a couple years ! Thanks for all the support in the past and in the future. I enjoy doing this for everyone. My current total is 206 coasters filmed in the front seat and 209 different coasters filmed across the United States and Canada.

Superman The Escape was originally intended to open in 1996. Due to problems, it was never open to the public until the 1997 season. There was a preview for season pass holders in the fall of 1996.
For the 2011 season, Superman The Escape was transformed into Superman: Escape from Krypton. The most significant change was positioning riders to face backwards so they now look towards the ground rather than the sky on the vertical track.

Vertical Velocity was closed for the start of the 2002 season while it was modified to be no more than 150 feet tell -- a height limitation imposed by the city. The forward tower was changed from a 90° vertical tower to 45° inclined tower. The rear tower remained vertical, but was shortened, presumably to 150 feet. How/why the Vertical Velocity was erected in excess of 150 feet is a mystery. Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois also built a identical Vertical Velocity for the 2001 season. While identical rides, the press releases differed by park - Six Flags Great America claimed a height of 186 feet while Six Flags Marine World claimed 150 feet.

And other styles of coasters like hypers,Giga’s, and wood coasters will be based off my opinion

Conclusion: Great inverted coaster ! Definitely getting meaner with age. Could easily be in a coaster enthusiasts top 10 inverts.

The are will be themed to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the city's professional football team. The ride's color scheme is that of the football team. The logo of the coaster together with its name also makes reference to the steel industry which forms a prominent part of the area.
