The trail was well marked and easy to follow, just watch out for the ATV trail that runs parallel (you should be able to tell the difference pretty quickly, look for the white blazes on the trees). Advice for this route is to enjoy the calm nature of the forest and meandering river, but 'keep 'er movin' as they say - the real treasures and challenges of this trail lie ahead in the southern and western sections.
