She was not as kind as she should have been, she saw this creation as a failure within herself, she gazed upon it with an expression of sorrow and repentance. Was it not enough to simply create? To birth into existence an extension of herself? Had she faltered in her understanding of morality and hope? Surely there was more to be found within the resilience and determination of the machine sitting calmly on the table next to her. Her eyes watered over and began to spill towards the scattered papers that decorated her desk. If this robot was an extension of herself, and yet it endured, what did that say about herself? That she must also endure? That she has the strength within herself to live, to love, to be real, fueled by hope and the desire to find out who she truly is meant to be?She brought a shaky hoof up to her head and tried to hide her eyes, when she felt a small pressure against her arm, urging her to pause. I put up a poll a bit ago asking which short song you'd want to see next, and Wings won by far (although i kinda wanted to release Drifting or Strangers, but oh well, they'll come later).This song comes from near the beginning of the album, as Hollow is escaping confinement, she's understandably filled with fear and confusion, unsure of where she is or how she will escape. As she stealthily flees through the halls of the compound, she hopes that she will be able to make it out. The thought of returning to the Mono-L1th fuels her with panic. Amidst all this, her hazy mind, only recently awoken, still feels muddled with memories of her slumber. Who will rescue her? Who will make sure she will be okay? 【coming out】i am a girl uhm hazy archive 2019-01-16 | This is my coming out video, because I'm done with feeling like I need to hide who I am. I shouldn't be ashamed of being me, so this is my first step in taking back my self confidence and living my life as I should have been this whole time. I apologize for the awkwardness in my voice, I'm not good at talking about these things, but I have to say this.To further explain some things..I've always had a sense of something being not right with my gender expression since I was a kid. I was always drawn to the more "girly" stuff, examples being when I played dress up with my siblings I always wanted (but never got) to wear the dresses, in teen years I was never comfortable being called a guy or a man, etc, but I just chalked it all up to simply being a more feminine male because that's what I was taught to believe, that being a girl was just not at all an option. It was thanks to the help of some people I met online that I was able to finally understand who I am, about two years ago, but I was still so scared of rejection I kept it a secret. Up until the release of this video, only my mom, siblings, and a handful of close friends know about me, and of those people, even fewer are actually supportive. I'm working hard to put myself in a better place so I can live the life I'm supposed to be living, but it's a long journey.I had stopped making music for a while because I was so scared of my voice, I saw it as a sort of "no matter what you do, your voice will betray you" sort of thing, and it felt like I was being trapped into not releasing anything because I just couldn't bear to be reminded of my current state. It was thanks to a small group of people that I am able to overcome that, and also learn how to separate my music and singing voice from me, as a normal human. I'm so thankful to them, and I would like to name them specifically.Namii, Vylet, Izzy, and Rayne.You all have helped me feel so much more accepting and comfortable with myself, instead of living in constant confusion, worry, denial, and even anger. It's thanks to you that I'm now able to express myself again without the self loathing I experienced before. Thank you so much for all you do for me.I wanted to address this topic because I've seen some places (HMH and EQD) using my preferred pronouns (which makes me so happy), and I figured now's as a good a time as any to finally make it all known. At this point in Hollow's journey, we find her lost and confused, unsure of where she is or if she will find an escape from her own mind. With the amnesia dominating her mental state, she finds it difficult to continue onward when she can't even remember where she's going.This song is a favorite of mine simply because of the vocalizing, it feels so relaxing in a sad way, and I'm very happy with what I did for them! This particular song has gone through four iterations, starting all the way back with the project Awakening was announced for. It just turned out so amazingly and I'm so glad I was able to pull it off! I've always wanted to try to do more rap because when I have done so in the past it went well and many have told me I should rap more. After that Destiny EP remake, I've really taken notice of just how far I've come as a musician, and it's so exciting to think of how much farther I'll go.But anyways, this song is a look at how Twilight feels being thrust into the role of Princess of Friendship. There's no instruction manual she can read, no amount of studying could prepare her for the burden she never asked for. She struggles with the concept of having to learn without the aid of those before her, and wishes she could be the beacon of hope everyone makes her out to be.This is also the first song in a "series" of songs I'm doing, each one focusing on a different pony and including, but not limited to, Luna, Celestia, and Moondancer.
