Judging the Booktube Prize: Round 1 Nonfiction Group F Bouquins & Books 2024-04-01 | The @BookTubePrize was created by Robert Sheard @Robert.Sheard.How the Booktube Prize worksThere are two divisions: fiction and nonfiction. Judges can volunteer in the fall for one or both divisions (I volunteer only for nonfiction). At the beginning of the judging year, there are 48 books in each division, divided in eight groups of six. Each judge is assigned a group. There are 10 to 15 judges per group. The judges have six weeks to read and rank the books. The top three books from each group move on to the next round. Then the process is repeated for the second round, and the third round, until we have a final round of six books in each division. In this year's first round, I am judging nonfiction group F. From April 1 to May 16, we are reading Victor Hugo’s masterpiece Les Misérables, published in 1862. In this video, I attempt to present all the regime changes France underwent between 1789 and 1870.
