The bike is a joy to ride around country lanes and is also suitable for faster A & B road riding, but motorway speeds become a bit wearing as the vibration becomes more noticeable at speed. Handling is great, the bike just goes where you point it. Suspension is fairly soft and copes well with the potholes of the Sussex roads. Recorded in 1934 with him at the piano, this recording was recorded off the Smithsonian American Music Theatre Series of Lp's .From the comic show of the same title, this track is possibly as the kids would say today, the first dissing song. It's highly amusing and cleverly written.I have attempted to recover some top end at the expense of surface noise but it has made a big improving to the limited fidelity of this track.

I then do a swept alignment of the AM IF stage, something Hacker specify in their manual. Although the normal method of IF alignment is to peak the transformers at a the specified IF, swept alignment will give a nicer sound at the expense of some sensitivity /selectivity loss.

As the tube is fairly low emission, I decide to take the chance of blowing the short open. The only other option would be to fit a seperate transformer to allow the heaters to be totally isolated from the cathode.
