A Conversation with TV Professionals from Debmar-Mercury Dept. of Television Radio & Emerging Media 2021-05-05 | Recorded live on April 16th, TV professionals sat down with Brooklyn College Television Radio and Emerging Media students to answer their questions surrounding a career in television. Panelists included:Lonnie Burstein is the Executive Vice President of Programming for Debmar Mercury and a 1982 graduate of Brooklyn College. Lonnie currently oversees production for the Wendy Williams Show and Central Ave. Adam Lewis is the SVP, Marketing, for Debmar-Mercury, overseeing promotion, publicity and digital campaigns for all series and corporate initiatives. He began his career in marketing at MGM Television, working in several divisions and territories, then Sony Pictures Television.Karen Bonck is the SVP, Brand Partnerships for Debmar-Mercury. Karen collaborates with advertisers, showrunners, and talent to lead the company’s branded content creative and monetization across all platforms. Bill Marcus has over 30 years of experience in sales, management, marketing and distribution of Networks, Film and Television product. Currently Bill Marcus is President of 30 Steps, a worldwide media distribution company specializing in TV and Film sales in Syndication, OTT platforms & Cable.Ray Noia is currently the Line Producer at The Wendy Williams Show where he has been an employee since it’s inception in the summer of 2008. Ray is a 1990 graduate of the New York Institute of Technology with a BA in Communications. Suzanne Bass is currently the Co-Executive Producer at The Wendy Williams Show where she has been since Season One 2009. Suzanne is a graduate of Hofstra University with a BA in Television Production. As a Co-Executive Producer she works with a team to oversee the day to day creative of the show.Tristan Zimmerman is Vice-President, Digital Marketing, for Debmar-Mercury. Leading a team that is bringing the innovative approaches to shows from the production and distribution company: The Wendy Williams Show, now in its 12th season; the authentic and entertaining Caught In Providence; and the upcoming Nick Cannon daytime talker and Will Packer’s wide-reaching and multicultural entertainment news magazine show, Central Ave.Matt Uzzle is Vice-President and Executive in Charge of Production for the Wendy Williams Show. As Executive in Charge of Production, he handles all non-creative operational aspects of the show from budget creation to making sure the host is paid and even making sure there are enough pencils in the supply closet.Karen Beck is the Director of Distribution for the sports profile-interview television series, In Depth with Graham Bensinger, handling the distribution and sales efforts for the show which is currently entering its 10th season. Karen is also a Research Consultant for Debmar-Mercury, the production & distribution company behind programs such as The Wendy Williams Show & Family Feud.Arthur Hasson is the Chief Operating Officer of Programming at Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. Hasson started at Sinclair as the general manager of SBG stations in Harrisburg, PA. Prior to joining Sinclair, Arthur spent a career in television distribution and digital media.
