I know I'm a day late but I'm so happy that I actually get to upload this video. Uploading a tribute for Anne every May 19th has been an important tradition on this channel for me. I tried to upload it on time yesterday but didn't have internet at my new place and sharing my phone's data didn't work as mobiles don't work well where I live now. So I tried several times on the 18th when I finished this edit because I so wanted to premiere it on the 19th. But as I wasn't supposed to get internet until the 25th, I'm already so glad to get to upload today.

I'm sorry I once again didn't upload anything for a while but a lot of things have happened in my life since I uploaded my last edit. Now I have some collar parts I'm way overdue for to edit but I soon will work on other edits.

I tried to do something different from my usual edits. I like to keep my May 19th tributes different from each other as I make them every year and don't want them to become repetitive/boring.

I know some my not agree that this song fits Anne but I think it does and also, I've been obsessed with this song lately and just HAD to edit it. I'm sorry the video isn't longer. I am always so full of inspiration when I start a new project but then the inspiration fades away as I edit and I don't know what to do / where to go with the edit. But I really like this edit and hope you will too.

[MARY STUART] its been so difficult (February 8th 1587)

brokenCrown 2022-02-09 | I've always wanted to upload an edit about Mary Stuart on February 8th but always lacked timed and/or inspiration. So I'm glad I finally get to do it. (Technically it's 1am on February 9th but I'm still going to count it as the 8th lol).
I see so many Reign edits showing Mary's strength and courage and it's great. But with this edit, I wanted to show the sader part. After all, the real Mary's life was really tragic. I also tried a different editing style and hope you will enjoy. It's very short but I feel it works best this way for this edit.
I hope to one day make a longer edit for Mary Stuart as the ones I made for Anne Boleyn. But as I'll be working 7am-6pm tomorrow (today technically), I'm just going to rest for now lol.

[SCENE FINDER] coronations

brokenCrown 2022-02-06 | I have decded to end my break from youtube and editing.
I know this may not be the video you expected but I remember that whenever I was editing, I use to waste so much time just searching for scenes. It sometimes made me lose motivation when editing knowing I would spend so much time just looking for scenes as I can never remember which scene is where.
I think scene finders make editing faster and easier. Unfortunately, there aren't much for period drama shows and movies.
So I have decided to make some to help myself while editing and thought I might as well share. But making them will take so there won't be a new one every so often. Still I hope to make more for specific characters and couples but also perhaps a few aesthetics ones.

Draco Malfoy is my favorite Harry Potter character and I'm so happy to finally edit him. I hope you'll enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. Some parts of this edit really break my heart but I also try to include some happy scenes of Draco.
I often see online people who call Draco "the boy who made all the wrong choices" but to me, he's "the boy who had no choice".
I don't think he ever wanted to be a death eater. He was just terrified of Voldemort and wanted to protect his family. JK Rolwing herself said in the end the Malfoys are more loyalty to each other than they have to the Dark Lord. In the end, their deepest desire was to protect each other. Also, with Voldemort living in his manor and while being at his mercy, how could Draco have refused to become a death eater? It wasn't even a choice. He just did what he had to do to survive and also keep his family safe. And I can't find myself blaming him for it. If he had refused, he would have just died.
Now I know the other huge anti-Draco argument is that he was a bully growing up and arrogant. But I don't think that's enough to call him evil. Kids make mistakes. And a lot of who Draco was in the first books/movies is due to how he was raised.
I could go on and on on my defense of his character but this isn't the time for it. I'm just trying to explain why I have so much empathy for Draco and love him so much as a character. He is just more complex than meets the eye. And alongside Sansa Stark, he is my favorite fictional character ever (all fandoms I ever joined included).
I really hope I did him justice with this edit.

Edit: I just noticed I made a typo in my channel’s name at the end. 🤦🏻‍♀️ And the whole reason I made that was to have an end screen but YouTube won’t let me add one to this video. But I really don’t wanna re-render and de-upload the video just for that as it doesn’t change the edit so I guess we’re all just gonna have to deal with it. Ugh, I’m so frustrated with myself right now..

Edit 2: I keep having to reenable comments as y•utube keeps disabling them as they do that on all videos including min•rs and I included scenes of y•ng Draco so if you can’t comment, that’s why.

I'm glad I get to premiere this on May 19th. If you've been following my channel for a while, you'll know I've done an Anne Boleyn edit every May 19th since 2018 so it's quite the tradition by now.
Ane Boleyn is one of my favorite historical characters and I have been fascinated about her ever since I learned her story. So I always enjoy editing her. However, I have edited her so many times by now, it can get a bit difficult to get new ideas. Also, I've been lacking inspiration this year when it comes to editing in general so that didn't help. I have tried editing Anne in a different way than I did before as to not always make the same videos. I hope that you will enjoy it.
It did seem way better in my mind but I'm still happy with the result so hopefully you will be too.

I usually keep these videos shorter than 3:00 minutes long as I'm afraid it may get tedious if too long but I kept pushing back the moment where I'd make it and so here we are. But I'm glad to share it now as the last 3 parts are Christmas themed, it seems like the right time to do so.
To be honest, I've considered quitting editing many times this year and you probably would have noticed I wasn't the most active this year. If it wasn't for my friends birthdays, I would have barely uploaded this year. With everything that went on in 2020, I wasn't really in a mood to edit and it had kinda lost its appeal to me. I can't believe I'm finally sharing this. I've been working on it for so long and was so excited for this project. I think multiqueens are one of my favorite theme for edits.
I really wanted to show how difficult it was to be a queen and the path to the throne. I hope I managed to do that.
I wish I could have edited the whole song which is 5 minutes long. But I feel like it ends perfectly like that. With sadness and regrets. And the music slowing down.
I really tried to edit more of it but I just kept adding clip and then deleting them. I just couldn't find a way to continue this that I was satisfied with and didn't want to ruin the whole video.
I hope no one will be disappointed and that you will enjoy it. This project really meant a lot to me lately.

I also wanna take the opportunity to say thank you for reaching 800 subscribers. This is insane! I never thought my channel would grow this way. I honestly started this thinking it would be a miracle if I ever reached 50 subscribers. So thank you so much for supporting me on this journey. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

[CATHERINE OF ARAGON] live like legends (spoilers for season 2)

brokenCrown 2020-09-11 | After the time when I edited the trailers for the movie Mary Queen of Scots, I thought I would never edit a trailer again as the quality is never as good as a logoless episode. But I was so inspired by the trailer for season 2 of The Spanish Princess that I just had to make an edit.
I've waited so long for a Tudor show / movie that doesn't start when Anne Boleyn appears in the picture. You guys know how much I love Anne but movies and shows rarely do justice to COA. They often depict her as the old bitter wife when she was so much more then that. I'm so excited that we're getting warrior COA in season 2 of TSP. Can't wait! And expect a new edit here when the season comes out.

To be honest, the video didn't turn out as great as I had hoped / planed but I hope you'll still enjoy it.
I just got so excited when I saw the trailer, I ran to my room to grab my Mac and started editing. And now here I am, uploading this at 3am in the morning x)

I first wanted to edit this song in May for an Anne Boleyn tribute but completely lost inspiration.
The inspiration to edit that song came back today, only with a different character. The way I imagined it in my mind, it was going to be such a beautiful little edit but I guess I messed it up. Still wanted to upload it because while I feel it could have been better, I don't hate it either.
It's gotta be one of the shortest edits of all time but I felt it was better to end it this way and didn't know where I could take it after that.

[ANNE BOLEYN] Kings and Queens (MAY 19TH 1536)

brokenCrown 2020-05-19 | Stayed up until 1:30am last night hoping I would get to make this video live at 12am today so I could be there for the live during my lunch break. But it had a glitch and as I was working today, it was too late to stay up. Then I opened the project today and it had many more glitch. I swear fcpx cursed me.
So I'm sorry to upload it this late. But when this goes up, it will still be May 19th where I live and in England which is where Anne would be if she was still alive. So I guess this is still ok.

This is already the third year in a row that I upload an edit about Anne on May 19th. And I'm glad I'm not breaking with tradition. Wanted to start working on this since March, thinking quarantine would give me the time. But I kept having other projects to work on and was working so..

At first, I thought I would make a sad video retracing her story as I did the last two years. But I wanted to do something different this time.
As you may know, I am obsessed with Anne. And while I loved editing the most tragic parts of her story and saddest moments, there is also more to her personality and story. Moreover, I still wanted to featured her tragic end.
I really hope I manage to do it well as it wasn't the song for it.

I really thought I might never finish a video for May 19th. I kept starting projects but not liking them.
I tried something different than usual this year. And while I like it, I'm also not sure it's that good. I've seen so many great videos about Anne today and still have a lot more to watch. I'm afraid mine will pale in comparaison. But I hope you will like it.

I feel like this song is perfect for Sansa. And I was actually supposed to make this video for the 500 subscribers but there was always something that prevented me to do it like lost project or losing all my footage.

I'm so excited to share this video. I love Mary Stuart and has always been fascinated by her tragic story. Honestly and even though it gets a lot of critisism within those who are passionated about history, this channel would probably not be what it is without the show Reign as it was the show that developed my interest in Mary Stuart and period dramas.
I really loved making this collab; not only because I got to edit Mary Stuart (which I feel I don't do ofren enough) but also because I got to make it with my friend Maud. I had a lot of fun working on it and am in love with the result.

HUFFLEPUFF | HAVE COURAGE AND BE KIND

In case you didn't guess it by the fact that I made that video, I am a Hufflepuff. I'm not gonna lie, when I was first sorted into that house, I was a bit disappointed as it isn't a very popular Hogwart House. But then I read the pottermore description of the house, the more I realized the Hufflepuffs qualities are qualities that I admire and respect. Kindness, loyalty and frienship are very important to me and I am proud to be a part of the house that represent these qualities.

I did not expect to finish this video so soon as I had many projects I wanted to finish first. But today is my birthday and this videos represent so much to me. Not to get all cheesy but this video showcases qualities I have and qualities I want to have. It shows who I am and who I want to be. And since my birthdays have a tendency to make me sad (for reasons I don't wanna share here), I thought I'd finish it for my birthday.

I hope you like this video but for once, this video is also very much for myself. I'm glad to have it and to have made it. I'm just glad to have a video that means so much to me and is filled with characters I love. It's hard to express what this video means to me so I'm gonna stop here. UNFINISHED PROJECTS

brokenCrown 2019-09-14 | I know it's been quite a while since I upload a full video but work's been crazy and tiring; leaving me very little time to edit. I also know I still need to finish that GOT video but this video is driving me nuts. I keep changing parts of it over and over again because I can't decide how I wanted to go. So in the meanwhile I have started other projects that I wanted to share with you to show you what's to come and also to let you know that I haven't stopped editing. brokenCrown 2019-07-29 | I've had this video ready for a while now yet never uploaded me. I thought I would do it now as I haven't uploaded anything in quite a while. To be honest, I didn't have the heart to edit these past few weeks. I lacked both motivation and inspiration.
I am glad to say I am now back on track. However, all the projects I want to finish / start are project that might ask me quite some time to complete so please be patient with me. But I have a lot of ideas for this channel, so expect new uploads in the future.

brokenCrown 2019-06-14 | I how I came to make this video is a bit of a long story. When I first thought about making a video for your birthday, I wanted to edit Cheryl but no longer had Riverdale on my computer and also, I'm not to date with the show. So I thought a lot about what to edit since we don't have much fandoms in common. And Game of Thrones quickly became an evidence. I even started it (twitter.com/_brokenCrown/status/1138222315345534976). I even stayed awake til 2-2:30am every night this week to try and make it on time. And I know I could have but while I really liked how I started it, I realized when it was almost done that I hated where it went. I will still finish that video but I just need time to think about what to do so it won't be right now. So instead I went back to my first idea: editing Cheryl.
I tried to go out of my confort zone with this and make something different than what I usually do. I hope you like it. Also I hope you won't think the video is short because I got lazy or something. I knew from the start that it would be because Idk, I just felt that way. I think if I had tried to force it longer, I would have probably ruined it.

Enough said about the video. I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you again a Happy Birthday. I hope your day was good. I can't believe we've already been friends for over a year now but I hope we'll still be for many more years. You're one of the kindest person I know. I love you.

It's late but it's still May 19th. I'm so glad I could finish this video in time. I honestly didn't thought it would be possible. A video like this usually takes me weeks to edit but I made at least 3/4 of this one today alone.
Anne Boleyn is one of my favorite queens of all time (alongside Mary Stuart). Her story and character fascinate me which is why it was so important for me to do this tribute.
I usually follow the lyrics while I edit but this time I tried to take a chronological approach. I hope that you like it and I feel it still fits the lyrics. I'm very happy with how it turned out though I would have liked it to be longer. I might at some point make a long video about Anne showing all of her story (from meeting Henry to dying).

Im gonna hold you so close (08x02 SPOILERS)

brokenCrown 2019-04-24 | I can't believe it's already been a month since I last uploaded a video. I feel like it was only a few days ago. I'm sorry I have been MIA lately. I just started a new job at the begining of the month and spent a lot of time with my family; which gave me little time to edit when I had so many projects. I am so behind in my collab parts and the one on one collabs, it stresses me out whenever I think of it. I am so sorry. I just expected to have a lot more time to edit when I started them all. Also, I haven't forgot about the YPIV, I just haven't had time to keep working on it but I will.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:
I'm not gonna lie, I never really thought of the Theonsa ship. I knew it existed but never thought of it. However, I must say they gave me all the feels in 08x02 so I just HAD to edit it, even though I'm so late in all my other projects. (08x01 also inspired another Sansa Stark project but it is last on my priority list right now so it will have to wait). I really thought I would edit every GOT episode as they come out but I don't think I'll have the time for it. We'll see. It depends on how I manage with my other projects..
Also, I don't know if you noticed but I tried a different kind of editing for this video and I would love for you to tell me what you think of it. I must admit I am a bit disapointed because it looked much better in my mind. I also think the coloring is not the best but you guys know I always struggle to make colorings that look good on GOT. I wish this video did justice to Theon and Sansa because they made me so soft last episode. (I'm so scared for 08x03 btw).

brokenCrown 2019-03-13 | FINALLY!! I thought this would never happen. I first started this project shortly before reaching 300 subscribers and it was chose on Twitter to be my 300 special. But then my external hardrive died and I lost the project and all my shows/movies. When I downloaded my movies and shows again, it's my computer's hard drive who died (they were all in it). I ended up restarting this project mid-january and only finished it today because I was too perfectionist with it. I changed the text and coloring about a hundred times. Even today after I spent 2 hours rendering I ended up changing the coloring and re-rendering it because I was not satisfied. I put so much care and love and ennergy into this project. I never spent so much time / worked so hard on a project. But this was a video for you about my absolute favorite character and I wanted it to be as good as I could possibly make it.

I really tried to do justice to her character and tell her story. I hope you will enjoy the video. And thank you to all my subscribers 💕💕 (can't believe you are 400+ now). This channel and my editing wouldn't be what they are without your support.

brokenCrown 2019-02-25 | I'm so glad to finally share this video. This movie has been my most anticipated release of the year and I have been hyped up for it for quite a while now. I'm so happy to finally be abble to edit it using the movie and not just trailers (which I don't normally do but again I couldn't wait for this movie).

I love how the movie portrays the relation between Mary and Elizabeth. I really believed that these two loved and admired each other and that as Elizabeth says in the movie, they were "the only woman who knows what it means to rule as a queen in this land". Had men not been pitting them against one another, I'm sure they could have been great friends.

01: SANSA STARK || WHEN YOU BREAK
This is a project that is really important to me. I had once started it and meant to finish it as a 300 subs special video but then had some computer issues and it was lost. I finally started it again and I can't wait to finish it. At the moment this project is my main priority when it comes to editing It is already about 3 times longer than what you saw but I thought this was already long enough for a preview. This is a video I'll definetly finish and hopefully soon even though it takes me so long to edit it.

02: FRANCIS VALOIS & SANSA STARK || FALLING APART
I've wanted to make a Sansa x Francis video for so long but never trusted my editing abilities enough when it comes to editing a crossover nor did I ever found a song I liked for it. I know it's not perfect but I actually like what I made and I'll definetly finish it.

03: DRAMIONE || no title yet
I know it's different from what you usually see on my channel but I really wanted to do it. Considering how big a Potterhead I was growing up, it's really surprising that I have yet never made a Harry Potter video. I know that Dramione is quite a controvesial ship but I like it so..

04: GAME OF THRONES || EMPIRES
I started this one quite a while ago but then lost the inspiration and never got back to it. However I like the idea so I hope I'll finish it. I guess we'll see if I ever do or not.

05: VILLANELLE || SWEET BUT A PSYCHO
Not the content I usual edit and not my typical editing style but it was fun to do. I started it right after binge watching Killing Eve and then never went back to it. Not sure I'll ever finish it.

SANSA STARK || COMING HOME (SEASON 8 SPOILERS)

brokenCrown 2019-01-14 | How could we get so much new Sansa content without me making a video including it? I mean, I haven't edited her as much as I would have thought I would but still, my channel used to be called QueenSansa.
I know that if we talk only about the editing, this may not be my best video but I mainly did this video to share my view on what Winterfell and her family means to Sansa. Because I'm tired of some of the bullshits I read on Twitter.
Now since we're talking about editing, it's my first time making my own coloring since I got my computer back (if you read the description of my previous videos, you may have noticed the credit for the colorings didn't go to me). And honestly, I'm quite happy with what I did. Game of Thrones has always been a nightmare to me when it comes to colorings but I think I managed well enough.
Also, for those who aren't satisfied with this video, I have another Sansa Stark video I'm going to start. But don't expect it any time soon as it is probably gonna take me forever to edit it.

QUEENS & LADIES || TAKE ME HOME

brokenCrown 2019-01-01 | I really wanted to make a Happy New Year video but most songs (if not all) that I found that were in that them were upbeat and no matter how much I try, I'm not really good in that kind of editing not am I into doing it at the moment. Then I stumbled upon this song and decided that the going home theme was a good one to start this year. Of course, I ended up making the ending sad because I don't know how to make a happy video. I'm a bit disappointed at how fast it is. It didn't seemed to be that fast when I edited it but my SVP preview is always lagging so I can't ever rely on it. But I did have a lot of fun editing this video and I hope you will have fun watching it.
