Tip 1: Make sure that you take accurate measurements. Tip 2: Understand Ease! How much ease do you like in your garments? Tip 3: Alternations, what order should you make these in? First adjust the length, then the curves / contours of the pattern (Full Bust Adjustment, Forwards Shoulder Adjustment, etc.), finally the width or size of the pattern. Tip 4: You do not have to be the same size in a dressmaking pattern from the bust through to the hip. Blend between different sizes at the Bust, Waist and Hip. Tip 5: Make a sample and check your work!
