To activate this, you need to turn on MIDI Change in M+, which lets you control scenes, sections or locks using notes or program changes. For a nice step by step description search "MIDI change" in the manual (it's section 13.1). It outputs a sine wave at the frequency of the main melody. It doesn't play the additional notes if you play chords, and the only waveform is a sine wave. Hopefully, they add more functionality there in a future firmware update!INTRO SETUP:A word about the setup in the intro: Misha isn’t connected to Vector Wave directly. monome norns review // community soul in a music computer // 10 scripts explored loopop 2021-08-26 | IMPORTANT - A recap of the versions of norns:(1) The $800 fully built stock norns by monome, plug and play, aluminum enclosure, white screen, more audio IO, no ethernet - not currently in stock as of the writing of this comment (2) The updated norns shield reworked to solve noise issues on the input - sold for $280 directly by monome - yellow screen - easy to assemble, no soldering, but you'll need to buy a raspberry pi model 3b+, sd card, USB cable and 2A+ power supply separately(3) The full DIY version - monome does not sell this, you have to source all of the parts yourself including the PCB and enclosure, and solder it together yourself or with the help of a builder - you choose the screen color - yellow or white.
