LYRICS
Standing in the arms of your mind
Is killing all my time
Your loud dogma is just a ruse
To shackle all the fools
Assenting all the filth you throw
My inner voice starts to die
Trapped in your heart that’s hollow
My differences, you vilify
You’re so high
To even think that heaven was made for you
Mock those in sight
Demonize me, with hell you threw
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Aku bukan budak busuk otakmu
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Akulah merdeka merdekalah seutuhnya
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Aku bukan budak busuk otakmu
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Akulah merdeka merdekalah seutuhnya
Yeah, I refuse your hell of lust
And suddenly the world turns just
Oh, how I long for a life of bliss
And finally, put my mind at ease
I never needed, all of your stupid fascist words
What I long, is a peaceful world of colors
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Aku bukan budak busuk otakmu
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Akulah merdeka merdekalah seutuhnya
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Aku bukan budak busuk otakmu
Meski tak seperawan Maria
Akulah merdeka merdekalah seutuhnya

LYRICS
God hold my tears, when I see a girl crying
She lost her trust, to the world and to the source of her love
Where did the kind angel go when she needed it so bad,
Even though the angel is gone but I won't be silent when she's blamed
Because, our body is not public property
We have no place for the dirty mind
Our body is not public property
We have no place for the sexist mind
Everyone has the right to live safely
But why do people ignore it
They are still busy, talking ‘bout dressing appropriately
We are forced to obey by unwritten f****** rules,
And we are tired of things that people said to be good
This is how the fight will be remembered
And this is how the voice getting stronger and louder
This is how the fight will be remembered
And this is how the voice getting stronger and louder
This is how the fight will be remembered
And this is how the voice getting stronger and louder

We have no place for the dirty mind

LYRICS
Why today, many perceptions have become toxic?
Why today, many people wear religion to kill the music?
I feel like I am fallin’, washed down, swallowed by the crowd
I'm not the criminal
I'm not the enemy
I just wanna sing a song to show my soul
I'm not the corruptor
I'm not the enemy
I just wanna sing a song to show my soul
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music
Why today, many perceptions have become toxic?
Why today, idealizations are abusing our mind?
I feel like I’m falling down, in the deep hole of hatred
I'm not the criminal
I'm not the enemy
I just wanna sing a song to show my soul
I'm not the corruptor
I'm not the enemy
I just wanna sing a song to show my soul
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music
God, allow me please to play music

Exhausted from all the acts of intolerance and stigmatization, we confided in Abah Erza – our counselling teacher at school who is now our mentor – who responded with his pearls of wisdom. And then, “God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music” was born.
----
“Semakin kami berusaha menghindar, menjauh, terpaannya justru semakin keras.
Itulah ide awal God, Allow Me (Please) To Play Music.
To mark the end of this phase in our journey, we released several cover versions of those songs every week in the month of July 2021 for the EP. And now, to conclude the period and round up our “The Other Side of Metalism” live EP, we’ve gone full circle by putting out the song that kicked off our career: our very own “School Revolution”, which was first released in 2018.
“School Revolution (Live)” is out now on all digital streaming platforms.
When we first knew about Slipknot, we were instantly drawn and intrigued by their masks. At the time, we were wondering how someone could continue to make music to the point of being so popular yet still consistently hide their faces while others use theirs as a commodity. In the end, we decided to cover some of the songs that they tend to play at their shows.
We then realised that they instead focussed on their musical capabilities. Their heavy, thumping, yet easy-listening music is probably just one of the many reasons why they are so beloved by many metalheads across the globe. They have inspired us to dream that if we could one day be as big as them, we want to keep pushing forward by placing musicality above all else. Without having to flog our appearance but also not abandoning our identity.
We got intrigued by the TV series “We Are Lady Parts” when one of the characters – Amina, the guitarist in the series’ fictional punk band – included our song “School Revolution” as one of her favourite songs on a post from the series’ social media account.
Unfortunately, “We Are Lady Parts” is not aired in Indonesia. What we found, however, was its trailer. And it looks super fun!
These are our thoughts and reactions after watching the trailer to “We Are Lady Parts”.
---
Waktu pertama kali di-mention oleh akun We Are Lady Parts, diberi tahu bahwa School Revolution menjadi salah satu lagu favoritnya Amina – gitaris baru mereka, kami langsung penasaran sama serial ini. Cari-cari di sana sini nggak ketemu, ternyata memang nggak ditayangin di sini. Haha. Yang bisa kami temukan adalah trailernya. Dan ternyata…. Seru banget! 😊
Ini reaksi dan pemikiran kami setelah nonton trailer We Are Lady Parts.
“For us, this is one very powerful song. We have always enjoyed the feeling of flying amidst a rebellious sensation, which Tom Morello and his bandmates do when they perform this track.
There’s a hint of choreographed dance and a lot of spontaneous movements. A little bit of fear and anxiety mixed with overpowering spirit. And suddenly, everything feels amazing. We feel it too, that independence in reality also applies to women like us.
At the same time, we have always failed to restrain ourselves from raising our left first in the air and shouting, ‘As human beings, we are 100 per cent free and independent. As women, we are completely independent!’”
“Back then, this song took us to the final of one of the biggest band competitions in Garut, our hometown. At the time, we were so proud to be heard even though we didn’t win.
A few years after, we were able to play the song live at shows in Jakarta and other places outside of Java. We always enjoy the song’s every memorable notes and melodies. Until one day, a clip of us performing the song became one of the highlights in a news segment on a German television station. Yes, a country that we only know from its location on a world map. An outpouring of appreciation came from people who did not care where we were from.
From that moment onwards, we believe even more that music could traverse distance and unite differences.”
One Minute Silence (Live Session) is taken from Voice of Baceprot's - The Other Side of Metalism - EP.

Berat sih awalnya. Tapi lama-lama kami terbiasa dan bisa menikmatinya.
=============================================================
This year marks our first Ramadan away from our respective families. We’ve had to do everything on our own, including preparing our meals for suhur and to break our fast. It was tough at first, but we’ve gotten used to the process and grown to enjoy it.

coda: inilah kami, generasi pembawa perubahan.
inilah kami, generasi pembangun peradaban.

Selamat Hari Perempuan Internasional.
Merdekalah perempuan sebagai manusia seutuhnya.🤘

Paksa mimpi yang tak satupun ku mengerti
Terlempar kepala dipaksa pintar,
terdampar moral digoda bingar
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Di balik tembok isi kepala seakan digembok
Selaksa dogma ditimpa hingga bongkok
Bila teriak merdeka bersiaplah ditabok atau dikatain
… and my soul is empty. And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lose my life (lose my life)
Di sana dijuluki penjara paling indah
Tapi tak berikan bukti apa-apa
Hanya seabruk aturan yang tak pernah diterapkan
Menyisakan sejarah yang telah terlupakan
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Don’t try to judge us now
Banyak orang hanya beradu persepsi
Saling tindas dengan alasan visi dan misi
Korbankan mimpi yang akhirnya jauh terdampar
Terlempar samar dan akhirnya mulai pudar
… and my soul is empty. And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lose my life (lose my life)

We were performing at the Indonesian Literacy Festival 2017 in the city of Kuningan (6 - 9 September 2017). We sang our own song dedicated for Indonesian Literacy movement composed by Abah Erza & VoB.
Starting from its earlier days, VoB has been actively participated & a strong supporter of literacy movement in our own village Banjarwangi up until today, because we truly believe that reading books are opening the windows to the world. This is also part of what we call 'the other side of metal-ism'.
Saya Indonesia Saya Membaca
Song by Abah Erza & VoB
Suatu pagi yang resah/ku mulai belajar/mengenal mengerti/mencari memahami/
Hari berganti hari/waktupun berlalu/kini ku tau ku mampu/dan aku bisa berkarya.
*trimakasih ku ucapkan untuk semua ilmu
Trimakasih ku ucapkan atas kesempatan..
Chorus:
Demi cita demi masa depan indah/ku berjanji takan pernah berhenti/
Ku ingin terus wujudkan semua mimpi indah/menjadi manusia cerdas /lewat gerakan Indonesia membaca.

In between the regular tight daily schedule of going to school, helping our parents & practicing for the recording of our 1st album, we played live at the Inauguration of Literate Village of Ngejah Community at the neighbouring village of Sukawangi in Singajaya - Garut.
