My Castle Town- Deltarune: Chapter 2 {Piano} Madalyn Music 2022-07-10 | Here's my arrangement of "My Castle Town" from Deltarune: Chapter 2!I was requested to cover this and was surprised that I never thought of covering it myself. I remember going to Castle Town and walking around aimlessly just to hear this theme. I had to make use with what I had considering I don't have any percussive instruments or play strings, so I used some synth effects to mimic the strings and a celesta effect to double on the melody. This song is otherwise known as the "main menu theme". I originally wrote out an arrangement for piano but thought why not add flute?? Crossroads- Hollow Knight {Piano Collections} Madalyn Music 2021-05-01 | Ah the Forgotten Crossroads.... the first area you discover in Hollow Knight (besides Dirthmouth)! Recently, I bought the Hollow Knight Piano Collections book from Materia Collective. I don't plan on covering every song, but there were a few that I knew I really wanted to cover. What better way to start than with the theme for the Forgotten Crossroads! I didn't start with Dirtmouth solely because I already covered it for flute and piano a while back :PI remember first looking through this book and thinking, "How can you arrange a highly atmospheric track such as the crossroads?" but was pleasantly surprised with how the melody was brought forth between the left and right hand. I didn't add much to this video in terms of effects, but hope the playing makes up for it! I apologize for not posting in like a MONTH, it's been pretty crazy to balance out school and my music account. I'm ready for the summer when I finally get a break :PAs far as the piano collection book goes, I seriously am obsessed with every track in the album :P They are all SO GOOD. Little Nightmares 2 Main Theme {Piano} Madalyn Music 2021-03-20 | I got around to covering possibly one of the best video game themes out there...however, I may be a bit biased. But in all seriousness, the whole soundtrack for Little Nightmares 2 is OUTSTANDING and very atmospheric. Just when I thought the soundtrack from the first Little Nightmares game couldn't get any better!Something I've admired about Little Nightmares is how composer Tobias Lilja took a simple motif (Six's Theme) and was able to create a whole soundtrack that sounds unique and captivating. If you listen to any track from the game, 99% of the time Six's theme is embedded into it. I sometimes hear the argument that this is a "lazy" technique from composers but I 100% disagree. It's super cool to find traces of Six's theme throughout the game (such as in the main theme!). Also thank you for 300 subs!! It's been less than a month and I already gained 100 more subscribers...how cool is that?! Bonnies Lullaby- FNAF 3 Minigame Music {Piano} Madalyn Music 2021-03-13 | "Bonnie's Lullaby" (aka Schubert's Serenade) is played during a hidden minigame in FNAF 3. Out of all the FNAF games, I'd say this one is my favorite for some odd reason. I actually beat the 5th night a couple days ago :PThis little melody has been stuck in my head the past couple days, so I put together this short cover for today's video. I also decided to play with the effects this time; let me know what you guys think! I want to make my videos more visually appealing so they aren't so boring to watch. I tried to add a "glitch" effect I thought turned out pretty well considering all the minigames in-game looked pretty glitchy. XD I also found this VHS overlay that I will DEFINITELY be using again if I cover more fnaf or any kind of horror game!For some reason, my cover of "Crumbling Dreams" did really well, so I wanted to do another fnaf song since it was so well received. It seems that during quarantine, people went through a fnaf phase again and watched a bunch of covers from the game (or maybe it's still just very popular). Most of fnaf's soundtrack is just unsettling ambience, so there is a very limited amount of songs I can cover. Prince Sidons Theme- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild {Flute & Piano} Madalyn Music 2021-02-20 | "HAVE I MENTIONED HOW INCREDIBLE YOU ARE? AND HOW THANKFUL I AM?"Happy Zelda Anniversary Month! Sidon is one of my favorite characters from botw, so it's no wonder I choose his theme as my next cover. I love how his theme is the same as Mipha's, but in a more major-sounding tonality. Throughout this arrangement, I tried to add bits and pieces of both their themes along with a little bit of Vah Ruta in the middle. Little Nightmares 2- Lost in Transmission Trailer {Piano} Madalyn Music 2021-01-25 | Who else is super excited for Little Nightmares 2 coming up in February?! I finally took the time to buy the first game and was SUPER impressed. The graphics, and gameplay, the suspense..everything is A+! The trailer for the second game came out last week and one thing that stood out to me is the atmosphere these games can create. I'll just be excited to get started on writing some arrangements when the game releases.On a separate note, I've been working on a lot of projects lately! It just so happens that the trailer for Little Nightmares 2 released so I had to make an exception for my next upload being related to the game. I've been working on some more Zelda, SMG, and even some Steven Universe for all you fans such as myself out there :D I'm not super consistent with my uploads but sadly that's what happens once school hits :PI was just thinking about how my icon is a picture of me with my flute, however, the majority of my posts seem to be piano. I promise I still play, I just have a lot easier time making piano arrangements. How do you multi-instrumentalists do it?! I can barely keep up with two instruments in one video. I guess I just hear a song and think of how cool it would sound on piano, not even thinking about adding the flute. I can play multiple instruments, however, I never add an abundance to my covers. A Quiet Moment- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity {Piano} Madalyn Music 2020-11-21 | Here's my piano arrangement of "A Quiet Moment" from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! Since the game's demo, I've been hooked on its amazing soundtrack (per usual for a Zelda game). To celebrate the game's release, I covered this song first heard when meeting Princess Zelda and also when Mipha talks to Link. Dirtmouth- Hollow Knight {Flute & Piano} Madalyn Music 2020-08-29 | Dirtmouth from Hollow Knight arranged for flute and piano.I've recently taken the time to pick up Hollow Knight and I was not disappointed. Not only is the game amazing, but the soundtrack is incredible! The first piece that really got me into the game was "Dirtmouth" by far. If you haven't played it yet, I definitely recommend taking a look into buying it!I tried to create an atmosphere of "the fading town" as described by incorporating fog into the video. I also added wind sound effects which was something different I've done, but I really like the end result! It sounds much better with headphones however(;Thanks for listening to my cover! Lancer is probably one of my favorite characters in Deltarune. Its Raining Somewhere Else- Undertale {Piano} Madalyn Music 2020-07-04 | "down here you've already got food, drink, friends...is what you have to do...really worth it?""It's Raining Somewhere Else" is hands down one of my favorite tracks from Undertale, so it comes at no surprise that I wanted to make a solo piano arrangement of it. I decided to add rain to give it a more calming/relaxing feel the song is known for. When I recorded this, it actually started to rain which was really cool since there were water droplets on my windows(; For those who need a refresher, this song plays at the MTT Resort where Sans invites you to dinner (if you don't kill Papyrus D:). Although this seems like a light-hearted talk, people who have played through this scene know it was a heart-stopping experience...Sometimes I feel bad for posting covers mainly because of all the things going on in the world right now, but I also feel it's important to have a method of release throughout all this! And if my covers somehow help people to feel happy or forget in the moment about all the bad, then I am fulfilling my purpose with my channel. Although my cover is about a minute, the actual song plays for sooo long (you know what I'm talking about XD). I LOVE bossa nova so this cover was so much fun to make! I didn't want to just use a piano (it was solo piano originally) because it sounded pretty dull and boring. I added the drums and the other effects (such as a double bass and electric piano) through garageband! Also, I got a new camera! This video is kinda like a "test shot" to see all the different angles I can do in my covers. Attack on Vah Ruta- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild {Flute & Piano} Madalyn Music 2020-04-24 | This is my arrangement of one of my favorite Breath of the Wild tracks, Attack on Vah Ruta for flute and piano! This is definitely my favorite divine beast out of the four. This is also my most involved cover I've done so far, and it was totally worth the effort! I just got adobe premiere about a week ago so I'm still trying to learn all the possibilities with my videos(:As I was writing this score, I kept hearing Mipha's Theme throughout which I never really heard until now. This song has many strings and brass (sadly I do not play) that I tried to replicate on my flute. This song was pretty challenging to arrange but I tried to make it work as best as I could!
