The Order noticed the Orc Army using something similar themselves, and decided to upgrade it and use it as a trap! It fires a magical dragon that travels until it reaches a wall, damaging any enemy in its path. Its upgrades allow it to make enemies vulnerable for a longer duration, and to have the projectile bounce off the first wall it hits!Next we have the Ceiling Laser - a massive laser grid that sits on the ceiling and never turns off! This laser can hit multiple enemies on the path to the ground, so it is even better when it comes to killing Flyers and Orcs! It also works on ceilings of any height, making it perfect for those maps with high ceilings.The Order also made the Sawblade Launcher, a trap that fires a sawblade that bounces and tears through enemies! Put it horizontally to see it bounce along the same height, cutting enemies in half and even using the barricades to bounce and stay close. Or put it vertically and watch it bounce between walls - particularly nice for small choke points!Finally, the Order has also employed some of the most skilled archers around! [OMD!3] Saw Blade Launcher - First Look! Orcs Must Die! 2020-10-28 | The Saw Blade Launcher is a half-size wall trap capable of being placed horizontally or vertically. Saw blades it fires bounce off whatever they come into contact with - including player placed objects like barricades!Launchers placed vertically will send out saws that go away from the trap until they hit a wall, at which point they will return. They'll also bounce between the floor and the wall while they do that! Vertical placements are very powerful in areas with low ceilings and tight walls.Launchers placed horizontally will send out saws that fly across the floor (or higher, if you placed it higher), hitting any walls or barricades at the correct height. The trap is always on, dealing damage to any enemies which path underneath it. [OMD!3] Egan - A New Apprentice! Orcs Must Die! 2020-06-05 | Egan brings a Magic Longbow to his fights, which has precise aim for any distance. Its primary fire is a long-ranged shot, with headshots that can pierce through enemies. Its secondary fire requires mana to fire a spray of arrows, which can be charged to make the spray even more powerful. Egan has also learned how to perform a ground slam that will knock away smaller enemies around him and damage any enemies in its area. As a young boy, Egan would unwittingly cure his sister’s fevers or teleport the family cat down from a tree. In the small, isolated village where he grew up, rumors traveled fast - everyone knew the child was “special.”Egan never realized he had powers. From his perspective, he was just “lucky” – in the right place at the right time, or (sometimes) the wrong place at the wrong time. As Egan grew, the curious villagers embraced the young man and his increasing powers. Egan responded by confidently helping when he could.Once while deep in the woods trying to recover a neighbors pet, Egan saw his first rift. He approached, mesmerized. To this day, he can't quite recall whether he actually stepped through, or why. Sometimes, he has a hazy memory of an old man stepping up behind him and actually PUSHING him into the rift – but whenever he thinks about it for too long, the memory fades away.On that day, Egan suddenly found himself in a grand hall in an Order castle, surrounded by wide-eyed apprentices and stern-looking war mages. Though Egan was much older than most new apprentices, the mages sensed that he would have to be trained – for his own safety, and the safety of others.Egan jokes to hide a bad case of imposter syndrome. He’s still not sure he really belongs in the Order, and it’s a mystery to him how he even ended up there. Studying is not his strong point, but he manages to get through his lessons with quick thinking, “luck,” and sharp wit. Whenever Egan’s lacking in confidence, he covers it up with a “Don’t worry about me – I’ll make it through somehow” attitude.◄ Join the Orcs Must Die! [OMD!3] Kelsey - A New Apprentice! Orcs Must Die! 2020-06-05 | Kelsey brings a Blunderbuss into battle, an improved version of the old blunderbuss Max used to use. Its primary fire deals heavy damage in close range but falls off quickly over a distance. Its secondary fire uses mana to create a grenade that will explode upon contact with an enemy, or after about 10 seconds of laying on the floor. The explosion deals heavy damage and sends smaller enemies flying. Kelsey has also mastered the art of levitating, allowing her to levitate in place anywhere she sees fit.Kelsey has spent her whole young life dreaming of being a war mage and protecting Order rifts from the orcs.During the rebuilding of the Order, the remnant of an orc group slipped through an unguarded rift and killed Kelsey’s entire family when she was less than a year old. A war mage tasked with cleaning up the mess had no choice but to bring the orphaned baby back to the Order.Kelsey is a bookworm, studious and knowledgeable about Order history. The glowing “official” records of the rebuilt Order gloss over the details of a few key events – so Maximillian is her hero, and she idolizes him. Max did not spend a lot of time doing the hard work of directly tutoring young war mages, instead leaving that task to others and being the “fun inspirational leader.” So Kelsey’s direct interactions with him during her training has been limited.Kelsey is skilled and methodical in her approach to magic, driven to learn everything and anything she can. She is motivated by her hatred of the orcs, but hides it well, instead playing the role of “good student.” Only when she loses her temper does her usual mask of control slip.◄ Join the Orcs Must Die!
