Perplexing Pool Piano Cover (Redone)
updated
Which is to say…it's uncomfortable having that song stalking me because I've changed in a lot of ways since then, so I put together this version. I hope you like it. I'd like to think it's more well-put-together.

Lyrics:
Wait, go back! Rewind.
Did you see right there?
I swear, he’s just outside the frame.
Wait! Now I feel all bruised,
Out of nowhere. I swear,
He’s somehow causing this.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
From a place we do not know.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Please, just go…
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Dressed in darkest suit & tie.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
I don’t wanna die…
I swear, he blends in with,
The shadows of trees. At night,
I think he’s close to home.
I swear, these guys don’t get,
The danger he makes. In fact,
Will anyone believe me?
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Knows enough to keep you blind.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Did you find…?
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Dressed in darkest suit & tie.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
I don’t wanna die…
His branching arms are distressing,
His face is empty of expressing,
His footsteps leave you guessing,
And you really really want to…
Right! These pages from,
Notes I can’t remember. I thought,
His message had been lost.
In fact, will anyone believe,
How many children believe?
They understand the cost of-
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Dressed in darkest suit & tie.
Slender Man, Slender Man,
Who do you think will die?
“Modern convenience disrupts nature.
And nature responds appropriately,
In ways that will outlast me.”
“The whole world is simple
When I deny how complex it is.
There, my boredom is justified.”
“Each societal, often existential dilemma
Will beg me to ask the same question:
Who’s in charge?”
“Blood and tears lose to sweat;
The hustle derives some safety.
Still, my fair share isn’t a healthy one.”
“There’s a chance I fail to meet
A myriad of so-called deadlines
That my kids have zero chance with.”
“My deeply personal potential
Is allowed or restricted by choice.
Otherwise, it’s a cheap label.”
“Any contact could be for worse,
Especially if my heart is so close.
How do I continue living?”
Lyrics:
She got a diamond bed,
As a donation.
I got a blanket of debt,
That wants my blood.
He gets all the credit,
Cause of a million laborers,
And won’t get high off it.
Geezer is on hard drugs;
Bullies need their medicine.
And kids keep shoplifting,
Food before they’re broke.
Geezer got a tax break;
Suffering is laughable.
We guarantee people,
Make it on their own.
He cannot fix himself,
When he does something wrong.
But up here I live on,
A tightrope of stress.
She gets all the credit,
Cause of a stolen narrative,
And won’t get high off it.
Geezer is on hard drugs;
Quicker to invalidate.
And teenage behavior,
Kills my attitude.
Geezer found a problem;
In no rush to shut it down.
You can’t be mad when the,
Window long expired.
How can anyone afford,
A clown when the world,
Is splitting apart?
I’m annoyed by getting up to help,
And annoyed from sitting all the time.
The magic’s fading,
From all the hating.
Do I pretend that,
We’re done with this?
The magic’s aging,
So learn to love it,
While you can.
Go tell that geezer is-
Geezer is on hard drugs;
Went to bed ten years ago.
And kids don’t sleep enough,
Just to be on time.
Geezer paid the ransom;
Better than a consequence.
But should we do more to,
Save whoever has to try again?
If you haven't noticed with lots of my recent work, I love melodies that troll listeners into expecting something regular and then betraying them with something yucky or corny. I don't believe there's many music lovers who enjoy yuck and corn at the same time, so I do it as an attack against the predicatives of normal society. My brain whispers to me that this is kind of a spiritual successor to my even more violent Spoiled Princess tune. In that same vein, here's a long narrative setup to this piece to help you along if you don't have any imagination:
Between two major points in your journey, you pass through grassy plains dotted with a few small towns that have odd infrastructure. It looks as if buildings suddenly evaporated from their foundations at random. You talk with the locals about these vanished buildings, who also tell you stories of other belongings of theirs randomly disappearing. Sensing your confusion at their calm respite over the matter, they suggest you 'visit Prankeith yourself' while pointing towards the same general vicinity.
Taking heed of their vague directions, you arrive at a barren plateau and spot a massive silhouette floating above the crest of the horizon. Upon closer inspection, you see that it's actually a hodgepodge of houses and towers bound together by miles of twine and hovering in the air via several billion balloons. You manage to get inside this fortress and discover that it's a whole other city, its residents dedicated to the mischievous mantra of Prankeith. The giraffey boy soon welcomes you personally and notes that he was banished from the next kingdom on your list of evil to vanquish.
Prankeith explains that his playspace is for any and every practical joke, especially on those you think are more fortunate than yourself. He has the power to throw up indestructible balloons from his stomach in quick succession, and keep a telekinetic connection to them once spat out. He demonstrates by comically hacking some at you like a machine gun and you can't help but laugh. He continues by describing the absolute joy he finds in attaching these balloons to other people's stuff while they aren't looking and watch it fall upwards into oblivion. It's clear he's also not against forcefully floating people to their doom. Naturally, he admits he's done so many times, a few simply out of boredom.
So, as an agent to everything good, you try talking Prankeith out of continuing this nefarious utopia, even after he recounts the pain he experienced in a severely classist society, and then the pain of subsequently being banished to the desolate plainlands. This obviously gets him enraged at you almost immediately, and you have no choice but to fight your way off of his haphazard playspace...
I pray the universal deep-seated culture of White supremacy can begin to crumble, now that the information age gives us zero excuse to not read or not communicate with each other.
Lyrics:
All lives don’t construct us,
If Black lives are still betrayed.
This homework’s been overdue;
Many deadlines have been slayed.
All lives want nostalgia,
That Black lives cannot forget.
What makes up this ignorance,
Is a vault of unpaid debt.
Let’s make old business shatter;
Downfall the one-percent.
I’ll bite ’til your voices matter.
Your history is far from spent.
Oh, my God is merciful,
And the Devil serves you right.
Cold conduct is often fallible,
So seek the heat for brewing light.
Wash every White expenditure,
We can dry upon what else remains.
Share that which was indigenous;
Those hand-me-downs with bloody stains.
Let’s make old models shatter;
Downfall the one-percent.
I’ll scream ’til your voices matter.
Your history’s no accident.
What gives?
You certainly don’t,
Have to cry for spilled milk.
Make it make sense,
What more could you possibly,
Want from that perfect smile?
Defund all the bad guys.
Educate, and we will break the lies.
Hands up, pencils down, our time is past;
Does it matter anymore?
Should it matter anymore?
Could you care any less?
Let’s make old grudges shatter;
Give more than you can take.
Remember how much you matter.
So, show us what you’re made of!
Here's some chaos music I made as representation of his buffoonery and his small, but powerful, circle of loyal buffoons.
Lyrics:
Help yourself to some compliments,
Full of few helpful elements,
Sweet like the love we crave,
Treating trust to an early grave.
Oh how small,
Oh how small,
My bitter fortune.
Paraphrase, transfer,
Let me see if she’s on-call.
Sorry, dead cold,
Cast a do-over.
Two for sixty-nine,
That’s a good economy.
But the problem is,
When do we stop?
Help us all to some violence,
Even though you feel on the fence.
Soured virtue everywhere,
May inspire us to care.
But the forces on tap,
Would like to say:
No more.
Parakeet, transfer,
Let me see if she rolled by.
Sorry, wrong way,
Cast a copycat.
Two for sixty-nine,
That’s a good investment.
But the problem is,
When does it stop?
Please do not answer,
I’m just fine to start over.
Cancel all of these sticky notes.
Oh how small,
Oh how small,
My bitter fortune.
No more of sampling,
These flavors alone,
Help yourself right now.
So I’ve heard about,
The ones who go passionate.
And I can safely say,
The taste was acquired.
Parachute, transfer,
Let me see if she got out.
Did she fall for it or,
Will they post bail for us?
Parting ways, brother,
Let me see the choice I have.
Oh how small,
Oh how small,
My bitter fortune,
To the bitter end.
Continuing on your journey to vanquish evil, you stop at the outskirts of a strange kingdom called Pantry and quickly discover its people have been driven insane by a peculiar epidemic leading to a great famine. Local doctors know “the rats” are easily spreading the disease, yet you haven’t noticed any…or any wildlife at all for that matter. But as you venture towards the center of Pantry where the upper tier resides, you find legions of pest people walking the streets and displaying rotten products in hundreds of shops. After talking with some maggots and roaches, you learn that this foul paradise is all thanks to the royal rat family, who use the dark magic of their lineage to make everything disgusting. The one rat who makes the most public appearances is the widely admired Spoiled Princess. She is responsible for enchanting crops to sprout from the ground with mold already growing on them and accelerating the time it takes for perishables to become perfectly reprehensible. The next part of your quest is to follow her to the grand palace of odors and put a stop to her pungent powers…
Lyrics:
Doctor Toadsmile is sublime.
His fingers glisten with putrid slime,
And his skin is covered in teeth,
While tadpoles squirm around underneath.
Every injury beyond repair can be,
Healed by a kiss from his urgent care.
One tiny egg he’ll inject in you,
And once it grows, you will Toadsmile too.
Doctor Toadsmile is so smart.
He can easily pull you apart.
Guts and bones, he will eat them all,
To throw up on his bedroom wall.
If you do receive a bruise or bop,
Doctor Toadsmile starts to hop.
Through his medicine of puke and mud,
It’s possible to not lose blood.
No thing challenges this handsome man.
Faced with any ailment, he can chart a plan.
Though he might forgo a leg or arm,
No one can resist his Toadsmile charm.
The parts of the Requiem text I chose were meant to reflect on the irony of asking for forgiveness only after the sin has been committed, something that I'm sure we've all been guilty of at least once. The musical language tries to humorously extrapolate on that concept as a desperate idea of a merciful God in the face of our unforgivable moments in history.
Basically, I see death as an impossibly difficult puzzle to the living and a really bad knock-knock joke to the dead. And all I want is for this setting of the Requiem to sound like both of those sides at the same time.
Please try to enjoy. For some reason, I decided to use piano for the voice parts and strings for the piano part. Wouldn't it be fun if I was able to afford a real choir to sing this?

Lyrics:
One-thousand bandaids across my life,
Have lead to the least productive answers.
Aimless searching beyond compare,
To the heat of your healing voice.
Warming whispers derail the pain,
Of the thoughts I keep to myself.
And if you dare to touch me again,
Those insults I make are likely to break.
Two-million letdowns across my life,
Have lead to the most delightful friendships.
All mistakes will mysteriously vanish,
To the heat of your healing voice.
Truth and justice are hard to come by,
If not for the time you invest in me.
Dark pollution is powerless to the,
Tide we set that we haven’t seen yet.
Three-hundred witches across my life,
Have taught me to curse the ground I covet.
It’s a good thing you’ve shaken me off,
Of the island I keep to myself.
Advertise every strength and,
Muscle the manners of care.
I don’t know how you have,
So much love to give...
But not everybody does.
I have to let go of some promises,
Because some of us can’t be here today.
I hope they still like what we got them…
Every toss, every turn,
Every skirmish is addictive.
Please settle, my darling,
We must ration these days,
That no one else can share.
I don’t mind if you,
Paint across my life.
I would like us to,
Sing, dance, play,
Just be ourselves together,
Across our lives.
Anyways, this was the dedicated Halloween jam I made two years ago. I hope you enjoy my overt opera screaming.
Lyrics:
Front seat, Third Wheel,
Trust fall to the death.
Undo this deal, did I
Even sign anything?
Price drop, discount.
You don’t even know,
If that’s the one you want.
Self-Checkout is on the scene,
To log your spending stream.
Your move, Petty Paws,
Unable to service.
What can we hope to do,
On attitude with purpose?
Some kind of overthrown inclusion,
Was where we trampled,
Through nonchalant delusion.
Your move, Petty Paws,
Distracted by earrings.
Front seat, Third Wheel.
Lucky Apathy is,
What I would call it.
And your chances,
For travel are high.
Rates are lower than,
Value of creativity,
Like your name in,
An archival business.
Driver, pull out ID.
You don’t wanna get,
Locked up with me.
Such an audience,
Posted in squad.
Did I even sign anything?
Six-Bit Calendars are,
What I would call it.
Just forget that,
They never comply.
Market quotas one,
Step from impossible,
Still installed as our,
Reason to try to,
Drive, Third Wheel.
What’s the matter,
With all your legs?
Trust fall? No way,
I don’t wanna wish,
On memes again.
Your move, Petty Paws,
I don’t see a difference,
In the world.
Okay, may I loan,
One compromise?
Yes, sir, I’m ashamed,
I’m even asking.
Whose mouth do you,
Feed with charity?
‘Cause I would love,
To manage how it’s done.
Some kind of malleable retention,
Is how we came to this,
Awkward tension.
Final round, Uptake,
You’re so very very,
Good Third Wheel.
Free drinks or bust.
Friendly fire is a,
Backdrop meal.
Your turn, Petty Paws,
Stuck in a loophole.
Have you left yet?
Three voices,
Dislodged and remain.
Three’s company,
To our demands.
Free voices,
Dislodged and remain.
Free solitude,
In our own time…
You best give your full attention to this one because it's really focused on being unfocused, like a bunch of ostriches shopping in a grocery store that's too big for their attention spans.

I won 3rd place that year, but a stupid fun fact is that I won 1st place when the contest was first started back in 2013. This year's AIM will be starting soon...you should join.
Here are the general lyrics:
Balançant ici,
Perdant du temps.
En attendant de rien,
Se demandant.
Je peux entendre,
Tous les signaux.
Mais, je me balance,
Juste au cas où.
And my intended translation:
Swinging here,
Wasting time.
Waiting for nothing,
Wondering.
I can hear,
All the signals.
But, I swing,
Just in case.
Written with an intent towards a younger audience, the story outlines the struggles and the importance of staying true to oneself despite all odds. The main character is a sprightly orphaned girl, whose disguised dream life as a newsboy is obviously conflicted by a society that doesn't view girls in such roles. Amidst a war that not many seem to fully understand, her journey is filled with characters who also don't quite seem as they appear, both good and perhaps bad.
Very beautifully illustrated and depicts its message with more realism than fairy tale swerves. There is also a sequel to this novel scheduled to be released sometime next year. But in the meantime...you should buy her book and at the least enjoy this fast-paced waltzing.

Lyrics:
My subtle mistakes,
All add to the new perspective,
Without any brakes,
And towards the reborn objective.
Oh, I’ve got cold feet…
I don’t wanna do this anymore!
Should I take my seat,
Hoping that this love will soar?
I mean, who’s gonna still be standing,
If we arrive crash landing?
So, would you still be okay,
If I don’t show up anyway?
To be humble is great,
For the better of interaction.
It’s never too late;
Flying forwards to satisfaction.
Oh, what time is it?
I might miss my next connection.
My restless legs won’t sit,
When I’m feeling imperfection.
So, I’ll be in the aisle standing,
While we dive crash landing!
Hold on, how can this be ending,
Now that I’m not pretending?
Gliding far, far on my wings,
To the unknown.
So, it’s hard to process these things,
Behind a cell phone.
Oh, who’s malicious and,
Who is stern?
Time will tell me what services,
I should learn…
But, of course, I can’t stop;
Toasting all to going out there!
Even if the plane does drop,
I can say I did my dare.
Don’t worry now,
We’re going down crash landing!

The kindergarten artwork is also made by me.
Lyrics:
No more treats, have you,
Listened to your heartbeat?
Reckless animals should,
Never operate a carseat.
This isn’t special anyway,
Coulda done some other day.
Maybe I should close the door,
To shut the secrets.
I’ve got nothing to hide from you,
Even if I really wanted to.
You’re so good at getting in my head,
And it’s scary how I’m not dead.
No turning back from,
Eating up your timid fibs.
These tricks will not protect,
Your heart from broken ribs.
Every single number,
Is an unfamiliar face.
Maybe I should close the door,
In case of secrets.
I’ve got nothing to hide from you,
Even if I really wanted to.
You’re so good at getting in my head,
And it’s scary how I’m not dead.
Through trial and error did,
Jokes and jump scares start from scratch.
So keep it simple, stupid,
Monsters swiping every match.
Yes, I said let’s go,
Try another call again.
Office pranks at pro,
Though I’m over it.
The coast is clear,
But you decide,
Now that the fear,
Already died.
Do you suspect,
I’m just happy to see you?
Did you detect,
What’s hiding in my…
I’ve got nothing to hide from you,
Even if I really wanted to.
You’re so good at getting in my…
And it’s so scary how I don’t even care!

I've been recently getting into writing things down because I'm an idiot. But, this actually started with me being somewhat serious about setting such a compositionally widespread text to music. Then I was like...you know what I'm gonna be extra and do some Zipper instrumentals and scream it myself.
So there you have it, although I was too offended by my own voice to actually record myself doing those rather regular runs at the end without anything helping me. Yeah, I just don't think my voice is a true singer's voice.
Enjoy!
I changed the lyrics just a little bit. Definitely a much creepier interpretation of this song. And maybe in the bad way because my singing is not that pleasant and neither are crying babies. Goodbye.
Lyrics:
You seem to replace,
Your brain with your heart.
You take things so hard,
And then you fall apart.
You try to explain,
But before you can start,
Those cry baby tears,
Come out of the dark.
Someone's turning the handle,
To that faucet in your eyes.
You pour it out,
Where everyone can see.
Your heart's too big for your body,
It's why you won't fit inside.
They never stop and,
No one can believe.
They call you cry baby,
But you don't fucking care.
Cry baby, cry baby,
So you laugh through your tears.
Cry baby, cry baby,
While everybody stares,
Tears fall to the ground;
You just let them drown.
You're all on your own and,
You lost all your friends.
You told yourself that,
It's not you, it's them.
You're one of a kind,
And no one understands,
But those cry baby tears,
Keep coming back again.
Someone's turning the handle,
To that faucet in your eyes.
You pour it out,
Where everyone can see.
Your heart's too big for your body,
It's why you won't fit inside.
They never stop and,
No one can believe.
They call you cry baby,
But you don't fucking care.
Cry baby, cry baby,
So you laugh through your tears.
Cry baby, cry baby,
While everybody stares,
Tears fall to the ground;
You just let them drown.
I look at you and,
I see myself.
I know you better,
Than anyone else.
And I have the same,
Faucet in my eyes,
So your tears are mine.
They call me cry baby,
But I don't give a fuck.
Cry baby, cry baby,
Ha, not getting up.
Cry baby, cry baby,
Cause everybody sucks.
Tears fall to the ground,
I just let them drown.
It's transposed up a bit to accommodate for my stupid voice.
Ugh, stupid audio quality + cicadas. Whatever, I'm in a technology gap at the moment. So, I made my own rendition to this extremely short song as a quick thing to do because I think it's such a great tune. I also don't have much experience playing or making jazz, so this was good practice.
Enjoy, or not.

So here's a dark remix of the musical themes used in Inside Out, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Yep...
Lyrics:
Freddy Fazbear has great pizza,
Playing in a band with all his friends!
Bonnie, Chica, Foxy too;
They wanna play with me and you!
Freddy Fazbear is so awesome;
He can throw a party anytime!
Go all day and into night,
So get a lot of people to invite!
Freddy Fazbear has one motive:
Helping out a guy who needs a suit!
And his friends know the perfect fit,
So they can help you into it!
Freddy Fazbear isn't stupid,
Knowing that you're here to do your job.
Try to follow them as they sneak,
But the lights can't stay on all week...
Freddy Fazbear and his friends,
Have a lot of ways to get inside!
Bonnie, Chica, Foxy too;
They wanna play with you!
Freddy Fazbear and his friends,
Hope to see you again!
to listen to all 99 of the even better covers that were done of Super Smash Bros music. But yeah, akin to typical me, I turned this originally cheery song into something weird and ugly.
None of the original is being sampled. No infringement intended.
and listen to all the other really cool Smash Bros covers that were made. Yeah...this one is almost a complete 180 flip from the original song.
None of the original song is being sampled. No infringement intended.
