I tried matching the required settings as closely as I could considering Duckstation has been updated a lot since August 2021. Note that i'm playing with Retroachievements in Hardcore Mode active, hence the pop-up at the end, and the locked cheat window, for good measure.
Played on Duckstation v0.1-6759-gc015039a (dev), Driver 1 USA (SLUS-00842) using a Dualshock 3 controller through SCP Toolkit.GT2 - ATTESA bug showcasesubmaniac932024-05-31 | GT2 introduced a special 4WD flag for the Skylines that tries to emulate the ATTESA system by dynamically moving the torque split between the front wheels and the rear wheels depending on the situation.
However, the implementation seems to be a bit finnicky, as the car will indeed launch in 4WD mode, but it will easily be put back into pretty much a RWD configuration at the slightest movement. Just steering seems to be enough to trigger it.

Take a look at how the front wheels behave, and how my engine immediately revs higher once i lose traction at the front.

I got so very close last time ( youtu.be/WokKyxAsF94 ), i bet i was just THIS CLOSE to making it work lol Anyways, this means that your favourite mods now have the ability to create custom rally event opponents, either in 25/30 fps mode, or 50/60 fps mode if they so desire (but they'll only be able to be one or the other, can't have both working on the same version of a mod!) as well as demo replays for your idling pleasure lol What i've noticed in this experiment: - Analog inputs work, as demonstrated in this video - Can't record using a manual 'box, at least as far as i could see, it defualts to auto I love progress~ Now we're only missing track research to have pretty much every facet of GT2 be editable besides the actual source code hah!

Hard to find time and motivation to do big thigs lately, but i had this (and many other unreleased things that i post as i go on Discord) in an unfinished state since early 2023 and decided now is a good time to finalize it.
The Copperhead Beta LM and RM were cut from GT1 late in development, but thanks to modern tools, porting them is possible. One problem though: it's much too big for the memory constraints. By 15%. This is the reason why it crashes GT1 (and GT2) when trying to race against other cars lol. So i had to optimize it, A LOT. Visually, it's 99.9% identical in its high detail LOD, but LOD1 and 2 were completely edited in order to fit. Despite the extensive changes i had to do, i do believe LOD1 looks almost just as well as the original, and LOD2 I even improved by giving it a visible spoiler mesh, as it had none despite being pretty huge. Still, i decided to combine all 4 colors (White and Silver were on the RM, Yellow and Black on the LM originally)
As for the Copperhead Racing Modification, I couldn't do nothing. I had big plans for it. The goal was to find a way to put all the variants together, from the GT1 version without a spoiler, to GT2's version with the spoiler, and I didn't want to discard the silver LM Edition color either. So i gave it a rework using available texture space and a whole lot of trickery, but there it is~ All in one! Except you'll notice the roof of the silver color isn't a hardtop anymore. I could do it, visually. The model and texture are ready for it, but there is one unavoidable issue here: The roof isn't reflective, so in silver, the hardtop would be matte, and look weird. So I decided to keep the cloth top.

Thanks to TheAdmiester helping out by creating a tool that makes making sound files much more convenient by removing any need for hex editing, i've been playing around and decided on tackling one of the hardest sounds to get right lol. Having good sources for sounds really helped, obviously. Changing the sounds i've been used to since i was a child really feels weird, but for this particular one, in a god way. It's a rabbit hole however, so i don't know how many i'll end up revamping like this for GT2.1...

1-32 rises in effect, and 33-101 decreases. With 1 and 101 having just about the same effects.

Some color were only available on the Confort trim level, while some were only on the Premium trim level. Since PD themselves mixed and matched Confort and Premium colors, i decided to put them all in.

The LX G package also has this "quirk" in which its stage 3 Turbo actually gives it more low end torque rather than not. This makes it the best non-race modded Demio in the game. Its power to weight ratio is better than a lot of cars like Civic SiR, MX5s and the Concept Car, fully tuned with RM! A true overlooked car lol Okay, jokes aside, it's pretty weak still. It can manage this enduro and that's about it in terms of high end races. Which is already impressive in itself.

Over a hundred savestates until i managed to beat HSR I, then only one state reload for HSR II haha Winning the Megaspeed Cup with a stock car is a chellenge I gave myself. Tried a few cars but the R33 was the most consistent one i could manage. Keeping enough speed for a 2-lap race is pretty hellish.

Took me 2 tries but i did it! And not against easy opponents either. The only way it could've been tougher for me was if there was the Skyline R32 opponent.
The Lantis was nerfed for GT1 PAL's release. On JP and USA, the car is 830kg when race modififed, but it's 917kg on PAL. New mod~ So I took the Castrol Supra GT, modified and fixed its UVs, retextured it, and created my own set of wheels, because there are no 'JGTC' 5-spokes in gold, nor are the existing ones recolorable without difficulty.
But here we are! I wonder if the music wil be polarizing or not :think:

Eyyy. So, first and foremost, these 3 are the first cars on which I've edited everything that can be edited lmao Texture (CDMA particularly), model (removed some useless faces, added new ones(!)), mapping to adapt the new stuff, and so on and so forth.
Working on these made me make some progress in the knowledge of car model data which is great.
Anyways. The goal for this mod was to change the ugly lumps of black that all 3 Supra GT models had into proper diffusers, like the real life cars! I succeeded... at 99%.
While recording this footage, I realized that there is a slim chance (mostly in replays) that when there is a closeup on a car's side, some graphics might break. Sometimes benign and they revert (see if you can spot the 1 frame it does this in this video), sometimes pretty bad and for the rest of the event, until the track and car are reloaded. It's fine during gameplay however. I do not know what causes that issue so I don't know where to start to fix it. Apologies in advance for those whose replays are visually broken because of that >﹏<

As i expected, the format is the same since GT1. Car sounds are interchangeable between GT, GT2, GT3, all the concept and demos, and GT4~ I expect GT4 will become re-buildable in the next few months which is great!
Oh, also I made Toyota Supra GT edits for al 4 cars (including my old Supra Test Car mod). I've yet to make a proper video for them.
Lots of little edits for this one. Texture, obviously, but also a lot of the model was edied in order to have the logos in the correct places. I also created the wheels from a 3D model.
There were some I couldn't make sadly, due to the model's limitations.
DD2 has 4 Unused liveries in it, that are loaded in the memory on certain tracks. I restored 3 of them (2 are complete and needed doors, 1 only had doors, and the 4th is a beta texture from a car visible in promo shots.)
These past few weeks, i've been in frenzy with DD2 haha.
In this video, I swapped the colors of the player cars to those of the unused variants. I was made aware of a limitation with GS codes, in which you're limited to 256 edited values at once. Sadly, just for one of these, I need over 570. In my next video on DD2, i'll more than likely be driving using AI textures on my car~
