Lots of fun, right? Well now we have a lot more options thanks to Poptaters from Super Impulse. Did you ever think you’d see Chucky or Bob Ross or even The Dude as a Potato Head? Now ya have thanks to Poptaters from Super Impulse! On the other side of the Super Impulse house we have World’s Smallest. A line of pop culture items shrunk down to as tiny as they can be. There’s a ton of options out there, and at Sweet Suite we saw a few new items. World’s Smallest Beer Pong and Cornhole! You’ll see more World’s Smallest items in the booth walkthrough video.
LEGO - Pac-Man, Hocus Pocus, Disney 100, Spidey and His Amazing Friends - Sweet Suite 2023 Action Figure Collectors 2023-07-15 | LEGO never disappoints at these shows. Sweet Suite was no different. We got a hands on look at the Pac-Man arcade game set. This thing is awesome! I can’t even imagine what goes into building it! So many little details, & movements. The Hocus Pocus house set was incredible as well. More crazy details and hidden gems. Spidey and His Amazing Friends join the Duplo family and Disney gets a Duplo castle. Lego Creator, City, Technic, Friends, Minecraft and Icons of Play were also on display.
Playmates Toys - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem - Suite Sweet 2023 Action Figure Collectors 2023-07-15 | Back in March we got a look at the Turtles figures, their lair, and vehicles from the new movie. Now at Sweet Suite 2023 we got to see the evil mutant baddies from TMNT Mutant Mayhem. Some familiar faces, updated designs and new additions including the gigantic Mega Mutant! Uhm, is that a whale??? The movie hits theaters in August 2023.
The Loyal Subjects - Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, TMNT - Sweet Suite 2023 Action Figure Collectors 2023-07-15 | Sweet Suite was super sweet with nostalgia, especially from our friends at The Loyal Subjects/TLS Toy. Rainbow Brite & Strawberry Shortcake are back thanks to TLS Toy! The best part is, they didn’t try to reinvent these characters or modernize them. Yes, they added some articulation and modern day toy engineering, but the look & feel, the design and even the packaging is retro as can be and we love it! Definitely one of the highlights of the show. We also got a look at some new TMNT figures including the Super Shredder! Just in time for a certain movie coming out! You remember how awesome they were. And maybe you remember watching Tom Selleck as Magnum PI on TV with your parents at the same time. Now here we are in 2023. Would you have EVER expected to see Playmobil producing a MAGNUM PI set??? No one could predict such a thing. We got an up close look at the Private Investigator, his friends and Ferrari at Sweet Suite and it’s just awesome. Also shown for Playmobil are their Disney 123 sets and more classic sets as well. Then, a really cool clever gimmick called CHS, a play on VHS, the old tapes used in VCRs back in the day to watch movies at home. The "C" in CHS stands for COLLECTOR or Collector Home System. Playmates Toys - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem - The Play Date 2023 Action Figure Collectors 2023-03-10 | The big attraction at The Play Date 2023 was Playmates Toys' brand new line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem, based on the Seth Rogen produced animated movie set to hit theaters on August 4, 2023. Playmates revealed the core 4 Turtle Action Figures - Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo & Donatello, along with an enormous Sewer & Subway Playset. And that's not all. There's plenty of other goodies like the party van (or Pizza Fire Van), motorcycles & scooters, Ninja Shout figures and 12' tall Giant Turtles too! There's role play items for each of the 4 turtles key weapons too which come with the colored bandannas. Each weapon has a very cool action feature too which you'll see in the video! This is just the start! There are more figures and fun stuff to come as we get closer to the movie release in August! Stay tuned! They've made some cool modifications to their arcade cabinets for a truer arcade experience and they brought the Infinity Game Table with them as well to The Play Date! This thing is a GAME changer, literally! All your favorite board games, and I mean ALL OF THEM, in one digital spot along with Puzzles and more. If you're in the market for a coffee table, we highly recommend THIS ONE! We also got a look at the brand new Infinity Game Board. This is a smaller version of the table which is much more portable but the same overall experience as the full size table. Playmobil - The Play Date 2023 Action Figure Collectors 2023-03-10 | Always a pleasure to stop in and chat with our good buddies from Playmobil! There's always a fun surprise to see. This time we got a look at the final production piece of the new Star Trek Klingon Bird of Prey ship! It is HUGE and awesome! Playmobil also showed off their new Naruto line and Dragons as well as some of their more traditional sets. Arm photon torpedos, shields up and warp on into the video!

They Live John Nada WWE Mattel & NECA Action Figure Comparison - AF Reviews Action Figure Collectors 2023-02-23 | "I come here to chew..." you know the famous line if you're a fan of "They Live," the 1988 John Carpenter cult classic movie starring WWE's Rowdy Roddy Piper. There has been next to nothing in the way of They Live merchandise over the years. Aside from a funny catch phrase, the movie has more or less stood on its own. Until recently! Mattel, under their Elite series WWE action figure license and NECA, under their 8 inch scale cloth action figure line have finally produced figures all these years later for the cult hit. AFC takes a look at both figures, which are very different from each other but just as cool in their own ways. Playmobil New York Comic Con 2022 Booth Tour Action Figure Collectors 2022-10-13 | We beamed up to Playmobil at NY Comic Con 2022 to get a look at their Star Trek The Original Series USS Enterprise 1701 starship and the new (prototype at this time) Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek III The Search For Spock. These two sets are absolutely incredible. Playmobil has really come a LONG way. Speaking of which, we also got to see Playmobil's first venture into the world of Anime with Naruto! There's plenty more to see as well with Back to the Future, Knight Rider, A-Team, James Bond and more.

Mondo Marvel Man-Thing 12 Inch Figure - AF Unboxing Reviews Action Figure Collectors 2022-09-03 | It wasn't until we played back the review footage that we realized how hilarious it is to say "12 inch Man-Thing" so many times. Ok, got that out of the way, minds out of the gutter for now! HUGE thank you to Mondo for sending this insane figure our way for review. The 12 inch Man-Thing figure is by far one of the most detailed figures to come out in a long time. You can look at this figure forever and still find new hidden surprises. We found another after shooting the video while taking some still shots! It's crazy! This is definitely a fun figure and a must have for Marvel Man-Thing fans out there.
