Feel free to share!! Visiting all four nations of the UK, the Hercules C-130J is a tactical transport aircraft that has been in service since 1966. Described by the RAF as the "backbone of UK operational tactical mobility tasks", Hercules's defensive system makes it ideal for operating in regions where there is a threat to aircraft. Now after the Hercules took its last operational flight on June 4 with the 47 Squadron, takes a retirement flypast across the UK. No.47 Squadron will be stood down and its Standard laid up for a period at College Hall Officers’ Mess, RAF College Cranwell, until reformed.

Two B-1B Lancers “were operating in international airspace in the Baltic Sea region alongside NATO allies and partners during their theater arrival” when the U.S. bombers had an “unplanned interaction with foreign fighter aircraft,” a spokesperson for U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) told Air & Space Forces Magazine.The Russian Ministry of Defense said an Su-27 Flanker was dispatched to monitor the American bombers. A spokesperson for U.S. European Command (EUCOM) said the B-1s “were interacted with safely and professionally by Russian aircraft.” This was the B1s first mission taking off and landing from RAF Fairford UK and what a sight!!

The third jet in the flight is one of the Belgian F-16 Display Team jets. First pass filmed with my Sony ax53 on top of my Nikon D850 300 f2.8 prime lens and I just filmed the second pass where they were a bit lower and would have made for better photos! but the light was really bad for photography.

I hope to get a bit closer to the action over the next couple of days. The F-22 Demonstration and Heritage Flight Team is a United States Air Force flight demonstration team stationed at the home of Air Combat Command at Langley AFB in Hampton, Virginia. The team flies the USAF's Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor at airshows around the globe, performing air maneuvers that demonstrate the supermaneuverability of the F-22. These demonstrations include the power loop, split, and tail slide, as well as a high speed pass and dedication pass. These maneuvers are based on those designed for combat operations, but are performed at much lower altitudes than most pilots are certified to fly at. The US Air Force approved the demonstration in 2007, replacing Air Combat Command's F-15C demonstration team Major Joshua Gunderson is the Commander, F-22Demonstration Team, 1st Fighter Wing, JointBase Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
