Hotel Cheyenne Room Tour 2026 | Woody’s Roundup Standard Room - Disneyland Paris
updated
Hotel Samokov is situated across the road from the Borovets Gondola station and just a 2 minute walk from the main Borovets slops which are in town opposite the Rila Hotel, a hotel which is a little more up market than the Samokov (but as always that comes with a price).
If you’re looking for a cheap ski holiday for the family, or a weekend away with friends, Samokov hotel is perfect. With plenty of activities to keep the kids happy, a huge swimming pool and even a spa area the Samokov really does have everything.
Borovets in Bulgaria is a small ski resort split in to two sections. One is the Borovets town side which has a good selection of red and blue slopes with a huge nursery slope at the bottom (you can see it in my Borovets town walkthrough). The second side of this ski resort is the mountain, catching the small 4 man Gondola takes around 20 minutes to get to the top and again up there you have a number of slopes (mostly red) with a few greens for beginners.
Borovets has plenty of bars severing all types of food which can get very lively, be sure to check out Black Cats for some amazing food and great entertainment.
All in all, Borovets, Bulgaria will never beat the likes of France resorts but there is definitely something for everyone. If you’re looking for a cheap ski trip, do consider the Samokov Hotel, it’s dated but the rooms are comfy and warm, and overall the hotel is nice and cheap.
Would I recommend the Samokov, well that depends, if I was looking for a cheap trip away with family or friends (or both), then yes, it’s perfect for what you need. But if you’ve got a little extra cash you want to spend and like a bit of luxury, then no the Samokov isn’t for you.
Would I go back? Yes, I’ve already been back!

Based on the Gruffalo story, the Gruffalo Discovery Land takes you on an adventure of storytelling and excitement. With a activity sheet for the children, the land is a mix of Gruffalo animatronics, animals and indoor story sections.
The zoo is a more friendly option for Children, with a number of playgrounds, both indoor and outdoor. And of course the Gruffalo Discovery Land that we're looking at today.
One of the great things about Twycross Zoo is the fact that you pay once and can visit as many times as you like within a 12 month period. Allowing you to try the Gruffalo Discovery Land in your own time, and return to visit the Zoo if you dont manage to do everything in the same day.

Enter shops and houses, ride buses and fairground rides and see how they were back in the 1800s. Meet the locals and see what life was really like in the Black Country ‘back in the day’.
We checked out the the school, which is a must visit, but be warned… No talking! And make sure you don’t have any tattoos or nail varnish on show! We also visited the local bakery, the sweet show, a number of houses and an old fashioned fair. Finally after a long day, we got the old school bus back to the Black Country Living Museum car park.
Another mention would be the mines, a 30 minute tour around the Black Country Mines for ages 5 and up. Be ware though, it is very dark with very limited lights, but the tour guide keeps everyone safe and entertained for the 30 minute tour. We queues from the same point as the queue was in the video and it took around an hour to enter.
The Black Country Living Museum is in the Black Country which is just outside of Birmingham in the Dudly area. It’s perfect for kids and is a great day out for the whole family.
£70 for a family of 4 which kept everyone entertained from 10:30am until closing time at around 5pm. We would have stayed for longer if we had more time. The good thing about the Black Country Living Museum is that with the cost of a ticket you can visit as many times as you like within a 12 month period.
The Black Country Living Museum is a great day out for all ages, wether you’re interested in history or not it’s fun to walk around the time and meet the characters.

We start off next to the carpark just behind Butlins Skegness’s Studio 36 near the Giants Beach where we started the full Butlins Skegness walkthrough. So you can tell from that video that this apartment is very central with only a 1 minute walk to the indoor Waterworld waterpark.
You can find the full Butlins Skegness walkthrough here - youtube.com/watch?v=y6R2SkQ8nO0&t=1094s
From here we walk through the apartment blocks, some of these being the Butlins Comfort Plus Apartments which are bigger, usually have outdoor space (balcony or porch area) and are slightly more updated, with a bigger TV.
Once we enter the standard apartment, although it doesn’t look the best from the outside, you can see the room is perfect for a family of four that doesn’t want to spend to many pennies. This year we paid £230 for a Friday to Monday break the week before the school holidays. These rooms can sometimes go for as little as £74, Monday to Friday for a family of 4 when outside of the main season.
If you like the video please check out my others, and if you really could help me out, subscribe and help me to help you find your next holiday! (And also, I’d really like a YouTube play button).

Kendal Calling isn’t anywhere near the size of Glastonbury, and it isn’t as well know either. But Kendal still hosts some amazing bands, unfortunately we can’t share them on this video due to copyright claims.
The first part of the video was filmed Thursday before the festival was officially open and showcases what Kendal Calling is like before the crowds of people arrive.
The second section of this video walks through the Kendal Calling festival near the Parelands tent next to the big wheel and head past the shops up to Kendals main stage.
If you enjoy the video, and would like to see more walkthrough footage from festivals, hotels, and attractions. Please consider subscribing to the channel, it really does help me out.

I'll also be uploading a short review of the AQI Skanes Family Resort soon, so if you're interested in that, make sure to drop a subscribe and like the video.
A short taxi ride into town, the AQI Skanes Family Resort has a private beach, waterpark and some of the best entertainment i've seen in a hotel.
It was the start of June when we visited, the weather was perfect, not to hot, not to cold, usually hanging around the low 30s. The pools were warm and the sea was even warmer. With white sandy beaches and a pool bar / sandwich bar to keep you hydrated and full of food while you relax to the sound of the waves.
AQI Skanes Family Resort has a number of restaurants, with the beach bar being the best. They served a top notch burger, but unfortunately it was only open during lunch time. The main buffet was nice, but seemed to serve similar food most days.
The beach is literally next to the pool and is private to the resort, although you do get beach sellers walking along from time to time, but security move them along and keep them from walking near the sunbeds.
Overall the AQI Skanes Family Resort is a well rounded resort, with plenty to do for everyone. The entertainment team was great, the mini disco was well organised with a mini disco train that went around the hotel before it began collecting all the children (book the hotel, you’ll see what I mean). Pools were warm, beach was great with lots going on.
Would I go back…. Yes!

While this tour doesn’t include the Red Light District (I’d rather avoid a fine and keep my face intact!), there’s still plenty to see. We stroll through historic streets, canalside paths, and even visit the Amsterdam Library for a unique perspective of the city.
Amsterdam is packed with stunning architecture, bustling cafes, and must-see attractions—perfect for anyone planning a trip or just wanting to experience the city from home.

Starting at the Butlins sign we walk into the grand pavilion to check out what stores, restaurants and bars are available.
A new addition to Butlins Skegness recently is the Skypark, an oversized outdoor childrens park with a number of towers and slides connecting each together. The Skypark is definitely worth a visit the next time you're in Skegness!
I was surprised at how much Butlins Skegness had to offer. With a number of Shows located in many entertainment venues, plus multiple restaurants, shop and arcades.
If you're looking for somewhere to visit with the kids check out Butlins in 2025.

After hearing chilling screams and strange noises late into the night, the Waterworld management team decided to host a private ghost tour, séance and for some reason invited me along to document it all.
This haunted water park has always had a mysterious history, and tonight we dive into the paranormal activity lurking in it's waters.
Waterworld in Stoke on Trent has been a popular spot for years, but could it actually be haunted? During this ghost hunt, I joined the Waterworld management team on a private investigation. This wasn’t advertised to the public, what you see here is all real, with no need to fake anything to sell tickets.
The full ghost hunt lasted around four hours, so I’ve cut it down to the most spine-chilling 15 minutes I could find. Get ready to witness the best ghost sightings, unexplained events, and paranormal encounters caught on camera!
If you enjoyed this ghost hunt and want to see more haunted locations and paranormal investigations, then don't subscribe to my channel (lol), if you wan't to see more long form content and local videos, then stick around, your support really helps me out.
Thanks for watching!
