Pokémon XY | Mono-Fairy | Part #22: Kalos League Champion Drayano60 2014-11-24 | This wasn't that hard, Diantha's honestly not that great of a champ. Her team is waaaaaaaaay too frilly. The only minor challenge here was the Mega Gardevoir but it went down but Mawile was able to take it on.I didn't record the rival fight in Kiloude and I've lost my save since, so that ends this run (finally)!

Shame I wasn't playing X, Slurpuff might have been useful throughout the game.Battle wasn't too hard, although took a bit more effort than you'd expect from a normal playthrough due to not being able to mow down Abomasnow quite as fastI hope you non-Europeans are enjoying OR/AS anyway :(

Gym battle begins at 1:20.[Why have we cut to the gym battle?]In a nutshell, I have neither the time at the moment (anymore, anyway) or the interest to do a fully voiced commentated walkthrough. It's one of those things that I think to myself would be cool to do, but when it gets down to it it seems to take a lot more effort than I was expecting, particularly since I'm not a natural speaker! Props to those who do fully commentated gameplay in its entirety, but it's probably not the thing for me now. At the rate I was going (one episode a month, lol) we'd be in Gen 8 by the time I got the blasted run done.So, going back to important sections with text commentary instead. Besides, everyone's played XY now, right..? I can't see people being THAT interested in a full game realistically. I'll be explaining progress through the routes and that in my little gameplay commentary box, at least. I sped up the less important parts as well, since watching standard battles can get a bit boring.I'll leave the initial two videos up as a legacy in case people for some reason want to actually listen to my voice, but there probably won't be voice commentary for this run from now on. On the bright side, I should hopefully churn these videos out a lot faster. Though I'm on Route 12 on my actual game now and oh my lord is Kirlia difficult to train. I mean I'd like it whatever it was since it's Pokémon, but aside from a few gripes I have with it it's very well designed. Graphics are quite nice looking, game feels very smooth, the Pokémon variety is amazing, the JRPG feel of the game is refreshing, the music is generally very good (especially the cities) etc.I'm a bit disappointed with the champion though. You literally see Diantha two times before you battle her and she doesn't do anything of note, just speaks to you once or twice. And her team sucks. Nice music at least.
