I didn't have the pleasure of making the longplay for the Amiga version of Deliverance but, the Atari ST/STE version was also a pleasure to play.
The ST version lacks nothing from the Amiga.
Every level and boss is here including the the final level in which the game turns to shoot 'em up.
The footage was captured at 60fps but the game seems to produce no more than 8 to 10fps at any given time.
The graphics resolution is the same as the Amiga only with less colour (16 colours i believe).
In conclusion, Deliverance for the ST/STE is a very impressive conversion which all Atari fans should play.
The conversion of the game was done by Hugues de Jonghe.
A brilliant Atari ST game.

Galactoid is a simple Galaxians clone created by Clay Hellman and released in 1993 as shareware for the Commodore Amiga computers.
It is written is assembly code thus it runs smoothly and fast at 50 fps.
The graphics are very simple but effective and there are only some rudimentary in-game sound effects. Sadly no music at all.
There are 30 stages in total with gradually increasing difficulty.
After the 30th stage the game loops back at stage one and the difficulty resets.
I wanted to make sure that there is nothing more after stage 30 so i played until stage 10 for second time.

I couldn't find any footage of this mini game on YT, so i thought to upload a short video
Enter MONSTER as a name for player one and SEVENTEEN for player two, press fire and the game will load.
Try to survive as long as you can in this relentless meteor storm.
Your only aid in this task is your laser gun.
Another nice treat from Magnetic Fields developing team.
The game plays frantically at 50 fps.

This is a quick and easy (i think) way to read ADF and ISO images on Amigas without floppy and CD-ROM devices.
You will still have to find a way to transfer files in your Amiga hard drive from your PC like a CF to PCMCIA adapter or a WiFi card.
Installation steps.
1) Download SetPatch.
http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/SetPatch_43.6b
2) Extract SetPatch atchive and copy the "SetPatch" command in "C" drawer of your Amiga OS.
3) Download AmiCDFS.
http://aminet.net/package/disk/cdrom/amicdfs240
4) Extract AmiCDFS archive.
- Copy "CD0" in "Devs/DOSDrivers" drawer.
- Copy "AmiCDFS.030" in "L" drawer and rename it to "AmiCDFS".
- Copy "SetCDFS" in "C" drawer.
5) Download DiskImage.
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/diskimage
6) Extract DiskImage archive.
- Copy "diskimage.devive" in "Devs" drawer.
- Copy "CreateImage" and "DiskImageCtrl" in "C" drawer.
- Copy the contents of DosDrivers drawer in "Devs/DosDrivers".
7) Reboot your Amiga.
8) Download DiskImageGUI.
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/DiskImageGui
9) Extract DiskImageGUI archive wherever you want and run the program.
Enjoy!

Double Dragon 2 is my favourite game of the trilogy.
The graphics are very close to the coin-op but the overall sensation is that the game didn't get the proper attention from its programmers.
It has several annoying bugs and it's very unfair for the player in some places.

First of all, my video response was ready the next day i watched Zeusadz's video but due to technical problems in my internet connection, i only managed to upload it today.
There are two attempts in my video.
In the first attempt i used the fire button and in the second attempt i used the auto-fire.
Keep in mind that i have better high scores than these, but a high score is not something you can have on demand.
These scores is a proof that i don't use Photoshop.

This is the story of Fizzog the alien whose spaceship was wrecked on our planet.
Fizzog needs replacement parts for his spaceship that can only be found in the infamous Area 51.
It will not be an easy task as the parts are scattered in 7 areas full of deadly obstacles and enemies.
Will you help him?
Of course you will help him. That's our job and duty as gamers after all!!!
Area 51 was originally released by Jonathan Cauldwell for the ZX Spectrum as an entry in 2004 4K Minigame Competition.
Two years later (in 2006) Nicholas Campbell converts the game for the Amstrad CPC.
The game belongs the genre that Manic Miner defined.
You must collect objects that are placed all over the screen using only your hand and eye coordination and some pixel-perfect jumps.
As the game was an entry for a 4K minigame competition, there are only 7 screens and after these the game loops back to the first screen.
Overall, Area 51 is a nice little game which you can easily complete after a few tries.

There is a 128K and a 64K version for this game.
Unfortunately the disk image for the 128K version is incomplete.
The side "B" is missing and so you can play only half of the game.
The 64K version includes the whole games but leaves out the animated loading screen, the mid-level briefing screens, the in-game music and the animated game over screen.
"New York Warriors" is a well presented game (as far as it concerns the 128K version) but the gameplay suffers.
The window of the game is very small giving the player a small margin to react in enemy attacks.
The collision detection is also quite unfair and works in a strange way.
It seems that the bottom half of your sprite is more vulnerable to bullets than the upper half.
The graphics are ugly.
Just like in "Double Dragon", Virgin tried to convert and implement the graphics from the 16-bit versions of the game, but with far less success.
Everything in the game looks colorful but the visuals look like they have been chewed and then spat out by some obscure graphical conversion program!
Despite its flaws the game has some good features.
The background graphics are animated (for both 64K and 128K versions) while there is in-game music with sound effects (only for 128K version).
The scrolling and the controls are just OK.
Overall NYW is good game but with little re-play value.
For my longplay i have used the 64K version as the 128K one is incomplete.
You still can see some footage from the 128K version at the end of the video.

A huge thank you goes to System 3 that released the game as a free download at Christmas day.

I had completely forgotten that i had this longplay ready until i spotted it somewhere in my disk drive.
It's a simple top-down shooting game in which you control a hi-tech battle tank.
You must use this tank to free your country from the invaders.
There are 50 levels in which you must locate the exit and shoot the enemies.
To exit a level it's not necessary to kill all the enemies.
This game has a lot of glitches.
First of all you will notice that in every level that there is water, the graphics are corrupted.
I tried many disk images but the problem was always there, so i am sorry for those bad water graphics but i couldn't do anything.
There are also two major design problems in the levels 37 and 39.
I had to play this boring game until level 37 only to find that the level design won't let you proceed after a certain point!!!
To solve this problem i used a trained disk image with level skip option.
You can notice this because the score is reset in level 38.
Sadly the problems didn't end there.
Another design flaw in level 39 made me to use the level skip cheat again!
Aaaargh!
Thank you for watching and feel free to rate and comment.

This is the remastered version of the original "Edge Grinder" which was released back in 2011 as part of the Format War Collaboration competition (visit the provided links for more information).
"Super Edge Grinder" released in summer of 2012, pushed the game to a higher level of quality by adding a glorious overscan 16-colors loading screen, a re-designed fighter sprite and a big boss at the end of the one and only level.
All the other cool features of the original game are still here.
You get detailed mode-0 16 color graphics, ultra-smooth and fast scrolling which runs constantly at 50 frames per second, fast-moving and well animated sprites and nice in-game music which changes dynamically with the action!
Although the game is very short it still can make every CPC fan proud as it shows what our beloved machine can deliver if it is programmed by the right people.

Quik is a clone of Sonic.
Technically the game is very well made.
It features fast and smooth scrolling, well drawn colorful graphics, very good music and responsive controls.
The CD32 version which is uploaded here, is visually the most beautiful version.
The colorful parallax scrolling levels on the background makes the CD32 version look absolutely gorgeous!
Quik is not an easy game and this is something that you can realize even from the first level.
Although the controls are precise and responsive, the collision detection is a bit unfair.
In addition the spin attack can often send you to your death.
Quik bounces too violently and most times uncontrollably when his spin attack finds the target.
There are some mid-stages (time travels) in which you must climb upwards (just like in the Rainbow Islands) and find a clock at the end of the level.
Mid-stages are essential for the progress of the game but the doors that lead to them are hidden and it's difficult sometimes to spot them.
I hate searching for those mid-stages just like i hate the labyrinth stages before every big boss!
What were the developers thinking?
I know that the game is bit small but why did they choose this way to make it longer?
They could have added a couple of levels more instead of adding these frustrating and annoying stages.
Overall the game is very good but underrated as it came too late (1994) and under the shadow of the Sonic franchise.

This is Led Storm for the Amstrad CPC as it was converted from Capcom's coin-op.
Nice 16 color graphics, smooth vertical and responsive controls are some good features you will find in this game.
What you will not find is the fantastic music that Tim Follin wrote.
The tune was implemented in the Spectrum version but not in the CPC version. I wonder why...
Either way the game remains one of the best coin-op conversions for the CPC.
There are 9 levels in the game and no ending screen.

I apologize for the quality picture of the video.
The game runs constantly at 50 frames per second and has an ultra smooth and fast scrolling. Because of this feature, the captured video produced interlaced lines.
I tried a couple of different methods for capturing the video but with no luck.
This game is technically great!
You must play it yourself to get an idea of how smooth and fast it runs.

If you enjoy playing this game (i have no doubt about this) don't forget to make a donation.
If we want to play brilliant games like this, we must support the independent developers.
This is an unofficial sequel to the original 8bit game.
The evil wizard Tao-Bao has kidnapped Bruce's sister and he is keeping her deep in his trap infected and full of obstacles castle.
Tao-Bao has also hired a group of fighters to guard the castle and kill Bruce.
Will Bruce make it stay alive and free his sister?
Well, all i know is that the Dragon lives on!
The game's design resembles to the original title and it is divided between 28 screens full of deadly traps and enemies.
There are 3 new enemies for bruce to confront.
All enemies are references from Bruce Lee films and so you will see a Samurai, the afro-american giant from "The Game of Death" and finally Chuck Norris!
Green Yamo (the huge green Sumo wrestler from the original game) makes also his appearance in a rather awkward for him situation.
The black ninja is here too.
The game is very well made and recreates faithfully the 8bit atmosphere.
Bruno R. Marcos (the developer) has also made an excellent job in graphics and sound giving the player the choice between CPC and C64 theme!
In this video i have played with the CPC theme but if you choose the C64 theme, the color palette changes to meet the C64's colors and the sound effects are now produced from the SID chip.
The controls are great and the difficulty is well balanced although in some places the game will give a hard time.

After 25 years of retirement, lettuce growing and 20 Kg more around his belly, Captain Dynamo is called back in the duty to retrieve the world's largest diamond collection which was stole by the mad scientist Austen Von Flyswatter!
Although Flyswatter is a scientist which supposedly makes him smart, he decided in a moment of utter stupidity not to keep the all the diamonds in a safe place but instead to scatter them around his six level secret lair.
You must guide Captain Dynamo through these six levels and retrieve all the diamonds you can find.
Flyswatter has filled those levels with various deadly traps and dangerous creatures to discourage the intruders.
Will Captain Dynamo made it after all these years of retirement?
Well, yes because this is a longplay video which means that shows the game to its completion.
Anyway, this is another budget title from Code Masters but it's a good one.
The only thing that bothered me was the pixel perfect collision detection and some almost impossible to get past traps. This is where savestates become very useful!

This is "Typhoon" released back in 1987 by Kingsoft and developed by Christoph Sing(code) and Rolf Wagner(code).
It is just another generic vertical shooter but it has a unique feature.
The game loads the next stages without stopping the action!
This feature can also be found on SWIV but this game was released a whole 4 years after Typhoon!
Besides that feature the game has nothing really exciting to offer.
Destroy the enemy waves, pick up some power ups and try to stay alive through 50 zones.

This is "Torvak The Warrior" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1990 by Core Design Limited and developed by Andrew Green(code), Lee Pullen(graphics), Terry Lloyd(graphics) and Matt Furniss(music).
Torvak is a side scrolling hack n' slash game with some elements of exploration.
The graphics are nice although they are drawn with a limited color palette.
The sound effects are ok but the music is exceptional! Too bad we can't have them both during the gameplay.
The controls are very responsive they won't give you any kind of trouble.
Some features of the game are quite annoying like the the grasping hands that come off the ground without any warning and the poison spitting plants that are almost invisible because they blend with the background graphics.
In addition the leaps of faith and the overlapping foreground graphics are supposed to offer some challenge but i don't like it.
I recommend this game.
Oh! I have included at the end of the video all the tunes of the game.
Don't miss it!

This is "Typhoon" for the Amstrad CPC released back in 1988 by Ocean Software and developed by Steve Lamb(code, graphics), Alison Jeftha(graphics) and Jonathan Dunn(music).
This game is the conversion to the Konami's 1987 arcade game Typhoon also known as Ajax.
It is a very mediocre conversion and basically just another Spectrum port.
The pseudo-3D levels are very poorly designed and the vertical scrolling levels could have been a lot better.
The controls sometimes during the vertical scrolling levels are unresponsive, especially when trying to press the space bar button to release bombs.

This is "Top Gear 2" AGA version for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1994 by Gremlin Interactive and developed by Mike Chilton.
I am not sure why this game was named "Top Gear 2" since no matter how much i searched i didn't find "Top Gear 1" !
Three words can describe IMO this game: Quantity over Quality!
The game offers 4 tracks in each one of the 16 countries that are available giving a massive total of 64 tracks!
Unfortunately the impressive number of tracks doesn't mean that you will get equally impressive graphics or game features.
The only thing that changes from race to race is the background graphics and the track itself.
The game has only 2 in game tunes or some very poor sound effects.
The engine sound is the most weak engine sound i have heard in a game.
It doesn't give you the satisfaction that something is going on even if your car runs with 300 kilometers per hour!
On the positive side is the game's speed.
TG2 is fast, really fast!
The scrolling of the road and the side objects is smooth and they are moving fast.
If only those side objects were a little bigger and with a bit more detail, the overall result would be much better.

This is "XR-35 Fighter Mission" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1988 by Anco and developed by P.M. Baroni(PMB).
Pros:
- Fulscreen graphics
- Smooth scrolling running constantly at 50 fps
Cons:
- Boring and repetitive gameplay
- Inhuman difficulty level
- Sprites are moving in speeds that your eye can't catch and therefore avoid
- The game loops back at the beginning after sector 12 without a single on screen message
Enough said!

This is "Trashman" for the Amstrad CPC released back in 1986 by Virgin Games and developed by New Generation Software.
"Trashman" is about those unsung heroes who keep our modern cities clean.
Those working class heroes that everyday pick up with their hands whatever shit we may have thrown in our garbage bin and take it away from our delicate noses.
You control an ordinary person who works as a trashman, emptying every day garbage bins while trying to prove to his boss that he is a fast and efficient worker.
At the same time he has to face many dangers that threaten him like loose dogs that bite him, bicycle riders that crash on to him like he was invisible and the deadly road traffic.
A hit from a car is enough to kill him leaving his family unprotected and condemned to starvation.
Dogs and bikers can injure him reducing his ability to move.
Once you have successfully picked up, empty and return a garbage bin in its place the house owner will appear on the door asking you to do something for him in exchange for a boost in your bonus meter.
The bonus meter is also acting like a timer.
It keeps reducing and when it reaches at 0 then it's game over.
Don't ever step on the lawn!
For some reason if you step on the lawn then the bonus meter is falling dramatically.
If you step on the lawn of a house's garden, you can forget for the little bonus boost that the owner offers.
Those fuckers are really in love with their lawn and you must consider yourself lucky if they don't let their dogs loose to bite you!
"Trashman" is an early game and it was probably ported from the Spectrum version to the CPC.
The graphics are adequate and the sound is poor.
The controls feel unresponsive but once you get used to them it will be no problem to control your sprite.

This is "Commando" for the Atari 7800 released back in 1989 by Atari.
I always wanted to make a longplay for this game as it's my favorite on the system.
It's an absolutely lovely conversion of Capcom's arcade game.
The gameplay has been upgraded with the addition of two weapons(the machine gun and the knife) which can be found in different places around the areas.
The machine gun gives you the autofire option and increases the firing rate.
The knife gives you the ability to kill enemies when touching them.
The graphics according to the machine's standards, are very well drawn and they scroll and move across the screen smoothly and fast.
The sound couldn't have been better.
Commando's cartridge is one of the two cartridges (the other is Ballblazer) that has built in the Pokey sound chip that gives the 7800 the ability to produce both sound effects and music at the same time.
The controls are responsive but a bit tricky sometimes. It only takes a couple of games to get use to them.
The difficulty level can be selected at the title screen and in a few words i would describe it as tricky and challenging but not impossible.
The photos at the beginning of the video were shot by me as it happens to own an original copy of this beautiful game.

This is "Fast Freddie" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1991 by Courbois Software and programmed by Michael Baumgaertner.
The game is also known as Fast Eddie as it was released under that name for the Atari 2600 and the Commodore 64.
Fast arcade action, perfect controls, good collision detection and challenging levels make this game great fun to play and very addictive
The goal is to collect 9 objects and finally the exit icon to proceed in the next level.

This is a request from my buddy Daz.
Check out his channel for un-emulated Amiga longplays and other cool retro videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/ZEUSDAZ).
Hey Daz! You wanted to see Amegas "destroyed"!
Here it is!
This is "Amegas" for the Commodore Amiga released in 1987 and depending on which part of the world you live it was released by DigiTek(USA), Golden Games(Germany) and Pandora(rest of the world).
It was developed by reLINE programming team, Guido Bartels(code & music), Gib Grabosch(graphics), Uwe Grabosch(graphics) and Karsten Obarski(music).
First things first.
I don't know who of the above developers did the level design but i want to send him a message:
Fuck you!
Fuck you very much you sadist asshole!
I am pretty sure that you have no friends!
The reason i am so upset about the level design is because Amegas has some of the most frustrating and unforgiving levels i have ever played in a Breakout clone.
Only a sick sadistic mind could have produced such difficult levels.
-Hidden blocks that appears out of nowhere.
-Indestructible blocks that have the same appearance as normal blocks.
-Death blocks that kill you.
-Blocks that must be hit in certain way in order to complete the screen and no clue given of what you must do.
-Blocks placed in spots that is almost impossible to send the ball there no matter how well you try to control it.
These are some of the hellish situations you will face in this game.
In addition you will have to face the cheap collision detection between your bat and ball and the large population of enemy aliens that are homing towards the ball changing its trajectory.
The game's difficulty level is very high.
Sometimes the ball's speed is so fast that it is even difficult for the eye to follow!
This is the reason that i used a trick to slow down that game's speed.
Without this trick it would be impossible for me to complete the game.
On the other side, although this is an early Amiga game it is very well programmed and everything on screen moves fast and smoothly.
Overall, even if Amegas wasn't properly play-tested and despite its high difficulty level, it still remains a great game to play.
Don't miss the deleted scene!

This is "Time Soldier" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1989 by Electrocoin and developed by Smart Egg(Simon Williams[code], Rico Holmes[graphics], Allister Brimble[music] and Said Hassan[misc]).
I don't know but this game feels like an unfinished one.

This is "Vader" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1987 by Softgang and developed by Olaf Schneider(code), M. Mense(graphics), Michael Bohne(graphics) and Michael Scheer(graphics).
It is a very basic vertical shooter.
Your goal is to stay alive as long as you can, fighting against alien waves and avoiding their bullets and crashing on them.
After level 16, which 16 is practically the number of enemy waves you have destroyed, the game's graphics are repeated.
I like a lot the loading screen of the game.

This is "Suicide Mission" for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1988 by MicroValue and developed by Ian Brayton and Bob Goldwater.
It's a very basic vertical shooter that extends in 9 levels.
Your task is to fly over the enemy territory and bomb the nuclear reactors.
Not an easy task as you have to deal with the attacking enemies and the ground obstacles which can pulverize your ship.
Each of the 9 levels has different layout which you can easily memorize through trial and error gameplay.
The attacking enemies are also moving in very predictable patterns and after a couple of levels you will be able to fight or avoid them easily.
There is even a level design utility which you can use to create your own levels or edit the existing ones.
I used the level design utility to peek through those 9 levels and make this longplay easier!!!

A mediocre shooter that resembles much to the Flying Shark.
The graphics and the color scheme also reminds me Fernandez Must Die.
I think this game could have easily implemented in FMD as a mini game or something!
5 missions in total, each one with a different target at the end of the level that must be destroyed with a kamikaze death dive!
