Sometimes I think Noki Bay goes unnoticed, and for good reason. The stage is a sharp difficulty spike, with awkward underwater controls that certainly don't help. The normally welcoming Piantas are non-existent, and the stage feels a bit empty. However, in revisiting Noki Bay for this episode, I realized, that's the whole point of Noki Bay. You may not remember the obnoxious poison water fondly, or enjoy "fighting" Eely-Mouth, but you'll feel better about Super Mario Sunshine overall. The change of pace is just what you needed to wake up. Or maybe, you've always liked Noki Bay. It's a great place for wall jumps. The view overlooking the waterfall is spectacular. And the music. Oooh, the music.

We'll be going over: Secrets: Uncovering the stage's most well hidden secrets. Pianta Extras: An overview of some of the best dialogue in the stage. Exploits/Tricks: Not quite a glitch, but a move that takes advantage of the game in unexpected ways. Glitches: Eel clips and other wild game malfunctions. Tips: I usually try to get one tip in each time. Challenges: Only one challenge this time. Performing these glitches is challenging enough.

However, two releases on PS3 preceded this smash hit: Flower, and flOw. They are both simple games, but I formulated a curious question on flOw while knocking out all of the elusive trophies. Now in 2020, I’m back to solve a mystery nearly a decade old; we’ll uncover the concealed secret beneath the deep blue.
In this video, we’ll discover what is flOw, what the game offers, and how this challenge has eluded discovery for so long. Since I will likely never touch on this game again, it’s a bit of a mini-review, but we’re always leading up to that big, sneaky challenge. The motto for this game is “Life Could Be Simple”, and we’re about find out that’s really not the case; things will get pretty complicated. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE NO TERMINOLOGY TO WORK OFF OF—
They picked Flower as their next game, which literally is Flow with an ‘er’. Really now? Up Boi and Down Boi are best characters, don’t @ me.

Turns out there’s a good reason, but that won’t stop me from trying. We’re taking an extensive look into Donkey Kong Country 2 as we explore challenges involving bananas, ultimately breaking down every single level in the game.
The dynamic buddy system with Diddy and Dixie, and also the subtle differences between the two, makes for an engaging challenge. Whenever a banana blocker shows up (and they will), we have a myriad of different strategies to employ in attempt to dodge the bananas. The Damage Boost alone offers unbelievable potential, but we also have the Team-Up Toss, the Spin Jump, and each stage has a unique gimmick which can be exploited in its own ways. And sometimes we just need to switch to Diddy because only he can fit through a tight passage. There’s much much much to talk about, probably why the video is over an hour! The best part of it all, is gliding with Dixie’s hair twirl is no longer a crutch, but absolutely mandatory in many levels. Indeed, there’s nothing easy about this challenge, other than maybe Gangplank Galleon. But from Crocodile Cauldron all the way to K. Rool’s Keep, we have devious levels always keeping us on our toes. But don’t worry! I’ve gone through these machinations already. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy this deep delve into one amazing game.
After humming “Welcome to Crocodile Isle“ for a long time, I knew that ending had to be done. Fun Fact: I have a weird fascination with Zingers and I can’t explain it—oh and only in Donkey Kong Country 2 specifically.

However, there's no denying it has one gaping tear...a lack of difficulty. So I took some effort to find a suitable challenge for this cute, fluffy platformer. What I found was, unexpected. And terrifying.
There's no health or lives in Kirby's Epic Yarn; instead, the focus is on beads, beads, beads. When you take damage, you lose beads. As a reward for solving a puzzle, you get beads. To get a gold medal, you need beads. Let's take this a step further: how about we grab every bead possible in a single level, without losing any? That's what the Maximum Streak Challenge is all about. The game has a streak counter to keep track of the beads; all we have to do is get the number as high as possible. The Combo and Streak Reset strategies help us get a higher streak, too.
The goal with this video is to find the highest streak in Kirby's Epic Yarn. This narrows the list of stages to discuss, as there are too many natively. The Maximum Streak Challenge is attempted in each candidate stage to see if it has the highest streak in the game.

UltimateParticular Mushroom2019-02-01 | Smash Ultimate improves a lot on the foundations of previous games. Mechanics have been refined, stages were pulled from across the series, and EVERYONE IS HERE! However, I want to shift focus from the big and flashy, to talk about the smaller changes to the game. Some of these are definitely secrets tucked away in the deepest trenches of the game, but I want to discuss 20 changes to features from Smash past to give them some well deserved attention. It's surprising just how long it took to get some of these changes in the game.
When I found a few exciting changes in Smash Ultimate, I figured I had to talk about them somehow. They were, all things considered, small quality-of-life changes that new players might not even notice. So I figured it wasn't enough to make a whole video...until I kept finding more and more; certainly there was a enough then to make a video! Rummaging around, I noticed that many of these changes were not being discussed at all, and after uncovering a noteworthy number one, I figured the effort was worth it. I hope you enjoy the video, and also find something entirely new!
This list is ordered from least favorite to most favorite, however, it is not exhaustive. This is a bit arbitrary, but so is "small", so I'm counting on you to not mind. The list is also restricted from Nintendo Direct information and character specific changes to encourage conversation of the untold.
Credits: I did not figure out the Metroid Weakness on my own. This was taken from various sources, however, it fits the list perfectly so I felt I should include it. MrAuthor3DS deserves credit for commenting about the removal of the Super Star reward in WarioWare; I still retain that I noticed it prior.

UltimateParticular Mushroom2018-12-23 | Veterans to Smash Bros. know about THOSE stages. WarioWare Inc., Norfair, Magicant, Big Blue, etc. While not completely lost like 75m, the hazards in these stages can make playing on them less than ideal and often times frustrating. It's hard to have a competitive match when random elements and wacky obstacles disrupt the flow of gameplay. I've always dreamed of playing these stages without the hazards...and well, look at this. Smash Ultimate is living up to its name with the stage hazard toggle.
By heading into the options menu and switching "Stage Hazards" to "Off", a whole new world opens up to us, and some courses finally become desirable to me! This does come with its own oddities though. Some stages are just how you always wanted them, while others are...well let's just say not the decision I would have made.
So let's snap that cartridge into the Nintendo Switch and discuss my particular topic of choice, Stage Hazards Off! Stage and character spoilers if you want to go into Ultimate blind, fyi.

We’ve got stunning attractions such as: spooky ghosts, creepy sounds from the basement, a monster manta ray, mustached plumbers jumping through the floorboards, leaks in the men’s room, drink samples, and…oh we’re all out of pineapples! Please enjoy your stay at Hotel Delfino!
I cannot believe just how many things there are in Sirena Beach. A lot of unexpected secrets, bizarre glitches, and wow there’s a lot you can do with King Boo. Going into this, I didn’t expect much at all, since the walls in Hotel Delfino are pretty sound (oddly enough). We found a way to break them, don’t worry, but for a while there I was worried about the amount of content. You have to really dust off the cobwebs for some of these. I mean, did you honestly think the lamp in the casino…well that’s a little bit of a spoiler.

We'll be going over: Secrets: Uncovering the stage's most well hidden secrets. There is one blue coin we need to discuss this time, but I usually don't go over blue coins and secret shines unless it's part of a glitch. Exploits/Tricks: Not quite a glitch, but a move that does take advantage of the game in unexpected ways. Tips: Yeah, I’ve actually got a tip this time! Pianta Extras: an overview of some of the best dialogue in the stage. Glitches: Wall clips and other wild game malfunctions. Challenges: I have a few small challenges sprinkled in there this time.
So…why are Piantas and Nokis visiting a hotel on an island they already live in? Did they…maybe come from another island, and not Isle Delfino?

Sit down with a nice cut of meat and a glass of orn, grab your scholarly Vyeshal book, and let's talk about a unique take on the RTS experience: Tooth and Tail.
Tooth and Tail is a "distilled" Real-Time Strategy. What does that mean? A bunch of things, but the best part is you you can play this game comfortably with a controller. What? In an RTS? Yeah you read that right. We're jumping right in the middle of this revolution to talk about what works well, and not so well. We'll run quickly through the story, and then delve into the centric multiplayer experince.
If you're normally here for the Nintendo stuff, let me again thank you for taking the time to check out this video. The game deserves the attention.

So I know EVERYONE is going to call me out on it, but I realized you don't have to sacrifice fly Yoshi to grab the shine without the fish. Ricco Harbor is bizarre, and one of the platforms is higher than the other two.

We share our secrets, provide hints to friends, and compete fiercely in search for the fastest speedrun. However despite all this, many games get left behind in the sand. Some deserve their fate, for sure, but others are quality games that simply went unnoticed.
One such game is Art Style: Rotozoa, part of a seemingly forgotten series of games on Wiiware known as Art Style. It's a small package with a strange concept: match goobugs to the right color and grow your tentacles to a specified length. Yeah, that might not sound all that fun, but with precise movement and an engaging soundtrack, perhaps it's worth a second analysis. Oh not to mention, the game presents a dastardly challenge.
Because this may be my only video on the subject, we're delving into both a review and the secrets. The best parts of the game, basically. The review portion will be first, in case you just want to stick around for that. Also, spoilers.

I figured out a number of these on my own, but most of these come from the community this time, especially Rocket Storage and Invisible Delfino Plaza. A few of these were suggested by commenters, so thank you!

Mario has been captured, and it's up to Luigi to save his brother from the vengeful clutches of King Boo. Equiping E. Gadd's Poltergust 3000, Luigi sets off into the spooky mansion. But hey, don't give the Poltergust 3000 all the credit, the Gameboy Horror does a lot too! It's got a map, boo radar, even a heart reading device! Let's discuss everyone's favorite ghost hunting companion!
Surpisingly enough, what the Gameboy Horror provides the most insight into is Luigi. We can learn a lot about about what and how Luigi thinks, and, well, it might be a cause for worry.

The extra mechanics they add to the game increase the replay-ability, skill-cap, and plain ol' fun. But one nozzle sticks out like a sore thumb: the turbo nozzle.
We all like going fast, I'm sure, but the turbo nozzle hardly provides anything interesting to the gameplay, nor is there much to even use the nozzle for. Well, I aim to change that, right here, right now! You will never look at the turbo nozzle the same when you decide to take, the Turbo-Box Challenge!
Jump into the secret-boxes, with a turbo nozzle of all things, and put your speed skills to the test!

It's a bit weird for a first top 10, but honestly I was never one for doing the straightforward. There'll be more Super Mario Sunshine things where this came from (eventually; this one took way longer than I expected)!
So if my explanation for an "Unintended Maneuver" is confusing you, it's basically A) an alternative way of doing something and/or B) doing something that seems impossible. It's a bit ambiguous, but I think you'll agree all, if not most of these are "Unintended Maneuvers".
Written statement of criteria: 1. Difficulty The more technical the maneuver is, the higher it will appear on this list. 2. Significance The more this affects your gaming experience, the higher it will appear on this list. Positive impacts such as getting a shine or taking a shortcut are favored over negative impacts such as death. 3. Style The most arbitrary criteria on this list, the cooler this maneuver looks and is, the higher it will appear on this list.
If two entries have the same score, then the one with more points in a higher criteria takes precedence.
