Around halfway into making this album, with certain other songs planned (which I later removed from the album) I got this urge to make a song in this swing-tempo-style. I had no idea what swing drums sounds like so a deep dive started into finding out a drum pattern that I liked, which is hard in and of itself since I don't play the drums. But, in the end, this song came out to be one of my absolute favourites. As always, I hear comments that you want my songs to be longer 😄 I'll keep that in mind for the future. Thank you also to all of you who have followed my journey with his album, it means the world to me ❤️If you have not heard, I have had trouble with the company that delivers my music to spotify and other streaming services, they have not been able to do so in time. Even if I ordered the relases about 3-4 weeks in advance, and it should take only about a week. So I've decided to use another company for the entire album distribution, and they promise a delivery time of about two business days, so I will order the entire album to be released at 30th of december. Gifts for the pollinators | Bumblebee friendly food | Mindful living CamillasChoice 2021-10-04 | Hi my loves!This is not the kind of content I usually upload on this channel, and therefore I wish to write a few words about it :)This video was recorded last summer, that is the summer of 2020. If you follow me on Instagram you might know that I have been pregnant during the summer of 2021, so I just wanted to clarify since this video contains alcohol I have not been drinking while pregnant, this was recorded last summer. You needn't worry about the baby ;)(Our little princess was born 26th of august and she is the biggest blessing ever)The reason for not uploading it straight away was that I had an idea of starting another channel, so I thought long and hard about it and what kind of content that I wanted to upload for the new channel, and I recorded this one. The thing is, I love music of course but I also sometimes wish to make other videos, like for example the more vlog-like videos. Anyways, silly me forgot about this vid because I wanted to save it for the second channel, and I suddenly found it in my computer one year later and thought....I don't need another channel! I thought at first that it would give a "cleaner", more structured impression to keep the Camillashoice channel free of anything but music. But at the same time I want to be less rigid, less precious about both what kind of content I upload but also the quality of it. So I ended up thinking: "what the hell!" This channel can be a place for any kind of video that I feel like, and I have found myself wanting to share more of the simple things that I enjoy and just letting my personality shine through a bit more. So... this is why we suddenly are appriciating bumblebees on this channel and I must say that I like it :) As expected with a newborn I have not had any time to record stuff but there is a new collab up on Spotify with my friend Emil, we recorded "Sound of Silence", check it out if you like! Old and wise (Alan Parsons Project) - a short clip from Instagram by CamillasChoice CamillasChoice 2021-04-24 | Sweetest cinnamon buns!I wish to be more active here on youtube and because that has been almost impossible lately, I'd like to explain a little about what's going and also share a "revelation" that I've had :) This will sound like a long written complaint but I swear it's not! Stick with me until the end (IF you have the time and energy, this is a long story)So since february this year (2021) I've had an insane amount of technical difficulties, to the extent that I have seriously wondered if the universe was plotting against me and my efforts with music. In february, the old computer crashed, and with it all of the music projects, recordings, videos, you name it - was gone. With the help of professionals I was finally able to retrieve the files and bought a new computer. A hefty thing actually, a gaming computer with the power to handle heavy projects and editing video in 4K. The new computer has not been very cooperative, though. There has been problems with every single thing in the process of trying to get back on track. From installing the DAW (digital audio interface), getting the plugins for virtual instruments to work, to being able to hear the mic, guitar, bass, piano in the computer. When I've finally solved one problem, the next one arises. The video files that I recorded with my camera was for some reason corrupted and, as if that was not enough, the new computer started crashing as well. After 3 months of struggling, the new computer was returned to the store for repair this april. Even when the computer is repaired and ready, I have no idea how long it will take for me to get back on track with everything. Possibly I will have to get some professional help even. We'll see. Through these months since february, I have experienced frustration that has left me in tears, and it sucked the joy out of music making, for long periods of time I couldn't even try to make things work because it made me sad and upset. But I found a turning point that made me grateful at last. When the new computer was returned to the store, I was left with nothing to use for music recording but my phone. And I finally understood the message from the universe that I had been ignoring for a LOOOOONG time.Very often I find myself picking up the guitar, just playing for fun, and wanting to record something. And then a thought strikes: "If I make a studio recording of this, it'll be so much better". And it causes me to become passive, because in that moment, I might not have time or energy to make a studio recording that takes 5-10 hours to make. So I end up creating nothing. And the universe sent me signs, over and over again... So what did Camilla do? Ignored the hell out of them! But now, I feel like I was invited and guided to simplify, to reduce the expectations, be more allowing. I cannot have the expectation on myself to produce professional sounding recordings and get better for every video, when I work full time and am only able to do this for fun on weekends. And I do everyhthing on my own without help. It's not realistic, it's as simple as that.So I will listen to the guidance, and simplify. Because of how things are right now, I might not be able to post videos with high quality. And that has to be OK for now. I hope you understand, my friends. Firstly by recording the song of course, but also because I wanted a moving background and therefore replayed loads of missions and recorded scenes from them. The ones I liked the most and were best suited for this song are the ones you see in this video. I really tried to make both the song and the video tell a story. Of the life of our beloved Arthur Morgan, in my opinion one of the best video game characters ever portrayed.
