The Russian military expects to receive the first examples of the new Almaz Antey S-500 air and missile defense systems in the near future. Meanwhile, tests are continuing on the advanced S-350 Vityaz system, which will eventually replace the existing S-300PS air defense batteries.
The new weapon—which will form the upper tier of Russia’s layered integrated air defense system—is expected to be able to engage targets at altitudes of about 125 miles—or 660,000 feet. That means that S-500 will be able to engage targets such as incoming ballistic missiles in space at ranges as great as 400 miles. The first regiment of S-500 will be deployed to protect Moscow and central Russia

* PKMR (Patrol-boat Killer Medium Rocket): 216, 217, 218, 219 boats
*'Launching' means that the ship is floated for the first time. According to the custom of the Navy, the guest's wife cuts the launching tape connected to the ship with a launching ax. This means that it breathes life into a newly-dried trap, like breaking the umbilical cord of a born baby.
The launching ceremony will be attended by Kwon Hyuk-min (Lieutenant General), Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, and Lee Byeong-mo, CEO of Hanjin Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., the Navy and Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and defense industry officials. In addition, Chamsuri-217, 218, and 219 first suits, including former Naval Chief of Staff Nam Hae-il (25th), who served as the first suit of the Chamsuri (PKM)-216, will also be present.
The launch ceremony is conducted in the order of national ritual, project progress report, declaration of ship name, commemorative remark, reward for merit, congratulatory speech, and prayer for launching and safe navigation*.
* The ritual of praying for safe sailing is an event in which the inside and outside guests break champagne into the hull, and it is passed down from the custom practiced to relieve the anger of the sea god when they encounter a storm in the sea in the past.
The new high-speed boat is named'Chamsuri-216, 217, 218, 219 boats', inheriting the tradition of the Chamsuri high-speed boats, which serve valiantly in the front sea.
The new high-speed boat is the power to perform coastal defense missions by replacing the old decapitated high-speed boat (150 ton, PKM). The latest combat system, 130mm guided rockets, small electronic warfare equipment, and an enhanced anti-guided missile deception system have been installed to improve firepower and survivability compared to existing high-speed boats and enhance mission performance. In addition, it is possible to perform smooth operation in low-depth waters by applying a water jet type thruster.
Yoo Ho-geun (Navy Commodore), head of the battleship division of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, said, "The new high-speed boat will serve as a vanguard to protect the territorial waters of the Republic of Korea by performing coastal surveillance and defense missions in the forward sea area in the future."
In the future, berth and voyage trial runs will be conducted under the supervision of the shipyard and the Navy, and will be delivered to the Navy at the end of 2020, and will be deployed in actual battle after a two-month energization process.

This is a video of the combined scientific combat training of the 5th Division of the Army and the Marine Corps.
On the 26th, the 5th Army Division said, “The subordinate Sajayon University will conduct science training at the KCTC from the 27th of this month to the 12th of the following month.” “The Sajayon Battle Team” is formed to conduct practical joint training.”
The scientific combat training will be conducted as a joint training in response to the request of the Marine Corps to participate. The “Sajayon Battle Corps” consists of the “Regiment Combat Staff,” which is the command and control headquarters, two battalions of the army infantry, one battalion of marines, and support and attached units.
The combat team has been preparing fiercely in order to write a new history of victory ahead of this training, with the same conditions as in the war and devoting themselves to training and training.
In particular, the morale of the soldiers increased as if the secret story of the executive who delayed the campaign to participate in the training to the end was passed on. Lieutenant Jeong Hoon, who was scheduled to be discharged on the 30th of this month, expressed his determination to “be with our comrades until the end and at the forefront of victory in the battle squad” and postponed the campaign until the end of the training.
Prior to full-scale training, the fighting team held a launch ceremony on the 20th to strengthen their determination to win. On this day, the soldiers, from the commander to the second class, exclaimed the slogan, "Reap the victory, let's roar at the top".
Sajaon Kim Jae-gwan, the leader of the battle group, said, “The initiative of Lieutenant Jung, who voluntarily played the campaign, and the military spirit instilled the will of victory to all comrades.” I will open the door to victory.”

The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin turbofan engine, straight wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force (USAF). It is commonly referred to by the nicknames "Warthog" or "Hog", although the A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, a World War II fighter-bomber effective at attacking ground targets.[5] The A-10 was designed for close air support (CAS) of friendly ground troops, attacking armored vehicles and tanks, and providing quick-action support against enemy ground forces. It entered service in 1976 and is the only production-built aircraft that has served in the USAF that was designed solely for CAS. Its secondary mission is to provide forward air controller–airborne support, by directing other aircraft in attacks on ground targets. Aircraft used primarily in this role are designated OA-10.
The A-10 was intended to improve on the performance of the A-1 Skyraider and its lesser firepower. The A-10 was designed around the 30 mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon. Its airframe was designed for durability, with measures such as 1,200 pounds (540 kg) of titanium armor to protect the cockpit and aircraft systems, enabling it to absorb a significant amount of damage and continue flying. Its short takeoff and landing capability permits operation from airstrips close to the front lines, and its simple design enables maintenance with minimal facilities. The A-10 served in the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), the American led intervention against Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, where the A-10 distinguished itself. The A-10 also participated in other conflicts such as in Grenada, the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, and against Islamic State in the Middle East.
The A-10A single-seat variant was the only version produced, though one pre-production airframe was modified into the YA-10B twin-seat prototype to test an all-weather night capable version. In 2005, a program was started to upgrade remaining A-10A aircraft to the A-10C configuration, with modern avionics for use with precision weaponry. The U.S. Air Force had stated the F-35 would replace the A-10 as it entered service, but this remains highly contentious within the USAF and in political circles. With a variety of upgrades and wing replacements, the A-10's service life can be extended to 2040; the service has no planned retirement date as of June 2017.

Check out this incredible afterburner footage featuring a MiG-29K fighter jet as it takes off from an Indian aircraft carrier during recent test flights with Russian pilots. Doesn't it look magnificent?
An afterburner is a component present on some jet engines, mostly those used on military supersonic aircraft. Its purpose is to provide an increase in thrust, usually for supersonic flight, takeoff and for combat situations. After burning is achieved by injecting additional fuel into the jet pipe downstream of the turbine. After burning significantly increases thrust at the cost of very high fuel consumption and decreased fuel efficiency, limiting its practical use to short bursts.
MiG-29K is an all-weather carrier-based multirole fighter aircraft being produced by Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG (RAC MiG). The aircraft is offered in a two-seat operational trainer variation known as the MiG-29KUB. The MiG-29K/KUB aircraft are designed to operate from aircraft-carriers with a minimum displacement of 28,000t and airfields. The aircraft has a length of 17.3m, the height of 4.4m and a wingspan of 11.9m. The maximum take-off weight is 24,500kg.

The Fokker 50 was developed during the early 1980s following a decline in the sales of the company's earlier F27 Friendship. It was decided that the new airliner would be a derivative of its predecessor, sharing much of its airframe and design features, while incorporating new advances and several improvements, such as the adoption of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127B turboprop engines, in order to produce a successor that had a 30 per cent reduction in fuel consumption over the F27.
The Fokker 50 performed its maiden flight on 28 December 1985, and entered revenue service during 1987. The Fokker 60 has been operated by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF), ex-RNLAF aircraft are also in service with the Peruvian Naval Aviation and the Republic of China's Air Force.
