Crosman Vapor Max Problems - Buyer Beware Airguns of Alaska 2025-09-23 | As per the usual, garbage Crosman Chinese build quality rears its ugly head. From excessive flex to a non existent barrel crown… I’d recommend for buyers to stay away from this gun. Unlike the big YouTube airgun channels, I bought my gun. Here are the poor accuracy and build quality issues I’m running into right out of the box.*Update* 9/25/25Since making this video I took the gun apart as a couple guys commented that the stock could’ve gotten cracked in shipping. I took the receiver covers off, removed the stock and it wasn’t cracked. I did learn the two machine screws thread into a STEEL nut. In this video I incorrectly stated I thought they threaded into aluminum. After learning the nut was steel, I tightened the living sh!t out of the screws and reduced the wobble significantly. It’s still there but reduced. I’ve been planning to make a video showing this but I still can’t get good, consistent groups out of the piece of garbage so I’m taking a break from it. Once a new selection of pellets arrive I’ll start shooting it again and do a video update. I appreciate all the comments, questions and advice. Keep them coming!

Vogel Domed Pellet test @ 20 & 50 yds Airguns of Alaska 2025-05-26 | Back in April I reached out to Vogel USA and asked if they’d be willing to send me some pellets for testing. Blake from Vogel was kind enough to send me a couple tins and here’s the test. I experienced excellent accuracy at 20 yds and promising accuracy at 50 yds. For some reason the trigger in my Daisy 901 started acting sticky and lost the “2 stage feel” I liked so much. I don’t know why? @daisy880fanaticfixit9 do you know why the trigger feel changes on the 880 variants? Any ideas how to correct it? I’m excited about these pellets and the company! Daisy 880 - A $60 Gun Shouldn’t Be This Good Airguns of Alaska 2025-04-21 | I bought this Chinese made Daisy 880 last summer and never really cared for it due to the cheap, plastic feel and the fact it was made in China. I have two, older 880 that have metal receivers and were made in the USA that I held in much higher regard. Well… I’ve come to be very impressed with the accuracy and capability of the modern 880. I’d have never guessed it could be so accurate and easy to shoot. I can understand why so many people think so highly of the design, even the modern Chinese made version.

But… I can’t deny that it doesn’t shoot well. Holy moly! Add a Daisy 5899 peep sight and what an accurate plinker! It also does well for target shooting.
