While it's true that perspective can cause things to look lower in the sky, it also causes things to look smaller. This is a mathematical relationship. It's impossible for something to look lower and not look smaller since both are caused by the same thing - the distance it moves away from us.
Here I go over the mathematical relationship, and show that it's possible to predict how much further something is away from us, just by measuring the change in the angle of elevation. This distance ratio is also the same as how much smaller that object will look.Lies Flat Earthers Tell - Level and Horizontal are the SameKeigh See2020-04-11 | This video is for on particular flerf on twitter who just can't wrap his head around the fact that level and horizontal have two different definitions. This is a 27 minute video of a sunset with a solar filter over frozen Lake Huron condensed to 3 minutes. I take the filter off right at the end before the sun disappears.
Correction on date : The video gives a date of February 16th - while that is the date of the two still shots at the beginning, the sunset video was actually shot on the 26th. The video shot on February 16th features in youtu.be/1e3qMvqYWto where the sun went behind a cloud for several minutes during setting.

They mess up the math, ignore elevation height, give the wrong distances, guess at how much should be missing, and ignore obvious distortion.
"There should be 500ft missing and there is only 300 ft missing - therefore the earth is flat!"
Let's do this observation the right way.
Photographs were taken over Lake Ontario from Hamilton, looking at the CN Tower. The temperature of the lake was the same as the temperature of the air, minimizing refraction. The observations from an elevated position were almost dead on the geometric hidden height. How to Measure the Radius of the EarthKeigh See2019-08-19 | I use my Toronto Skyline observations from Hamilton Ontario to calculate the radius of the earth. This video came out a little long and pretty heavy on the math.

My main argument here is that whether you are looking at the most common flat earth model or the accepted heliocentric model, the apparent motion of the sun in the sky would be the same - it would appear to make a complete circle about someone standing on the earth.

I used the cityscape setting because if I used the setting for a sun set, it gets very dark and you can't see the colours of the sky. You can see this darkening effect here even as I had to restart the time-lapse every 10 minutes, since that was the maximum setting on cityscape, and you will see every so often the image brightens as I restart the time-lapse. If anyone knows how to prevent this from happening with the P900, or even why it happens, I'd be interested to know.

While this was not what I had seen a number of flat earthers use it for, it a more reasonable thing to thing about measuring on the globe, so here I go through how to calculate that particular distance above a globe surface.Calculating Earths Three Curvatures Part 4 Obstruction HeightKeigh See2016-08-16 | This is a long one - sorry about that - but it's somewhat more involved to calculate the obstruction height. Here are the steps to finding how much of a distant object should be hidden to your view due to the curvature of the earth. This does NOT take into consideration the refraction of light which is always present and sometimes greatly affects what you see in the distance.

Please note that Bulge Height is NOT the same as Drop Height, and can not be approximated by the 8" per mile squared formula used most often by flat earth proponents.
