The one-of-a-kind Fury Smash skill lets Sena reduce enemy break resist by a sizeable 45 percentage points, which stacks with the Break Brooch accessory for an extremely consistent rate of Breaks to initiate your Topple/Launch/Smash combos. While the class starts off as a potent attacker, by the time you reach lategame you would have no doubt found more powerful DPS units. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Segiri Hero Character Showcase (Big Chain Attack Multipliers!) Nn Li 2022-08-22 | Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Segiri is my personal favourite Hero character in the entire roster. Not only is she unbelievably cute, well acted and has an emotionally involved questline, her ability to create huge damage multipliers in chain attacks are some of the most potent in the entire game! This is especially noteworthy when playing on Hard Difficulty, where the initial damage and percentage accumulation is significantly cut down compared to Easy and Normal. While the Machine Assassin class is a really cool concept, unfortunately by virtue of Xenoblade 3's mechanics, it's debuff abilities are too inconsistent to be practical at the late stages of the game where it first becomes available. Perhaps a future DLC or patch will rectify this, but as it is, there are too many far superior options in the form of Seraph and Soul Hacker.So what is the “Hero Class Spotlight", exactly? Twilight Princess GCNs 15th Anniversary! - Cave of Ordeals, Twilight Palace, End Bosses Nn Li 2021-12-11 | Twilight Princess on the Gamecube is easily one of my most played games ever, even as far as Zelda games go. December 11th marks 15 years since it came to North America, and it's fitting that "twilight" being a time of transition would also signal the end of the Gamecube era and the start of the Wii era.Today we'll be playing through the harrowing Cave of Ordeals, a multi-floor gauntlet of various enemies for Link to slay, and then closing out this playthrough with the Palace of Twilight and Hyrule Castle!
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC 2 - Guardian of Remembrance LIVE Nn Li 2021-10-30 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - This is it, our final foray into the events during the era when the Kingdom of Hyrule was brought to its knees!This latest DLC is the send-off to this lovely, action packed adventure with several vignettes for the cast, in addition to two new playable characters: Robbie & Purah as a cohesive unit, and a mystery newcomer to the roster! It's time...to finish the fight!
Metroid Dread - Hard Mode Fun Run! (Previous Clear Time 3:17:16) Nn Li 2021-10-16 | Metroid Dread is the bomb! Beat it four times so far, once on Normal and three times on Hard, and with every playthrough comes some new ways in which I appreciate how immaculate this game's core design is. My personal best time is 3:16:17, but let's try to top that today!
No More Heroes 3 - Final Boss on DEATH Difficulty (Switch) Nn Li 2021-09-29 | No More Heroes 3 - Final Boss is meant to be a symbolic curbstomp, more than anything. Of course, when you can die in one hit, you'll want to make sure you have all your bases covered. Thankfully, the Death Glove skills in tandem with the beam katana are all you need to lock down this boss in a rush of Death Blows, Blast Attacks, Wrestling Throws, and Mustang Mode beatdowns. The result is a lightning fast, unyielding boss fight where the past is truly put to rest, and the future of creative endeavors is looking bright!A truly satisfying and climactic way to finish No More Heroes 3, and here's hoping for many more amazing, messed up games from Suda 51 and the gang at Grasshopper Manufacture! No More Heroes 3 - Kimmy Love on DEATH Difficulty (Switch) Nn Li 2021-09-28 | No More Heroes 3 - Kimmy Love is a particularly tricky battle, but thankfully the numerous stage hazards will not result in an instant kill or even heavy damage. This means you can focus more on reacting to her attacks with the best possible options on hand, namely the Death Glove skills. As long as you're able to stay calm and avoid the constant pyrotechnics, Kimmy is actually a fairly straightforward boss since most of her attacks are easily avoided. That being said, do not underestimate her: getting caught by a stage hazard may result in you being comboed, and since this is Death Difficulty it's Game Over!Got any suggestions or feedback? No More Heroes 3 - Mr. Blackhole & Gold Joe on DEATH Difficulty (Switch) Nn Li 2021-09-27 | No More Heroes 3 - Mr. Blackhole & Gold Joe are essentially the same boss as they would be on any other difficulty. The only real difference of note is the usual one-hit kill properties of Death Difficulty, but if you've got your inputs down you should be able to easily rush them down for a quick perfect run. That being said, the main challenge is possibly needing to farm them repeatedly as they drop the necessary Pink Rare materials for the Z-Chip which provides you with zero cooldowns for your Death Glove. But it's worth the effort, seeing as these two bosses make for some great beam katana fodder! Got any suggestions or feedback? No More Heroes 3 - Sonic Juice on DEATH Difficulty Nn Li 2021-09-24 | No More Heroes 3 - Sonic Juice is a contender for "trickiest boss" to fight against on Death Difficulty. Even though the turn-based JRPG UI is gone, this is still a battle about patiently waiting for the boss to provide an opportunity to strike. For the most part it's similar to the Midori fight in that you'll just sneak a few hits in and then go all-in when the Great Slash appears on screen. Patience is key here; since his most attacks are separate from his body, interrupting him won't necessarily interrupt his attacks. Got any suggestions or feedback? Native Dancer & Destroyman True Face (Episode 4) Nn Li 2021-09-23 | No More Heroes 3 - Travis Touchdown is OP in this game by virtue of how easily he can strong-arm bosses out of their mechanics and force them to play his game. "His game" being a non-stop pain train of beam katana blasts, wrestling throws, and Death Glove skills that will barely give bosses room to breathe. No More Heroes 3 - Henry Cooldown on DEATH Difficulty (Episode 3) Nn Li 2021-09-22 | No More Heroes 3 - Henry Cooldown is back with a vengeance! This time he's armed with a second Cross Sword and a plethora of deadly beam sword techniques, but even with the ability to kill Travis with a single attack, he's thankfully nowhere nearly as brutally difficult as his No More Heroes 1 counterpart. The key to putting Henry in his place is to manage your Death Glove skills to ensure he never gets an edge, maintaining momentum and throwing him whenever he gets stunned. No More Heroes 3 - Midori Midorikawa on DEATH Difficulty (Episode 2) Nn Li 2021-09-21 | No More Heroes 3 - Midori Midorikawa is, in my opinion, one of the most fun fights in the series, especially on Death Difficulty. Her appearance in this game may seem a bit baffling unless you've read Suda 51's previous work, "Red, Blue & Green", but she's a tragic character with a fascinating backstory that hopefully becomes something huge in the future of Grasshopper Manufacture's game lineup. Travis assumes a more powerful form (Full Green Mode) to take her on, and swaps out his Death Glove for some insanely powerful skills. That being said, the battle is the embodiment of chaos, and will require quick decision making and nerves of steel to come out the victor. No More Heroes 3 - FU/Jess Baptiste VI on DEATH Difficulty (Episode 1) Nn Li 2021-09-20 | No More Heroes 3 - FU, also known as Jess Baptiste VI, is one tough customer at first glance, especially on DEATH Difficulty where he can win the match on a second's notice. Although his gimmick where he's immune to damage for the majority of the fight may lead you to believe he's impossible, it proves to be his downfall: hitting him with Death Kick or during a Death Slow will stun him instantly, leaving him open to a potential damage loop. After some practice (which will help the player develop muscle memory for the rest of the fights in the game), FU is just combo food for Travis.Welcome back to the Garden of Insanity. Zeldas Master Cycle, Born to be Wild - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC Showcase Nn Li 2021-06-22 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Pulse of the Ancients DLC is here, and with it, my new favourite weapon! The infamous Master Cycle Zero is back once again as DLC and is as powerful as it is relentless. With her beloved new ride, Zelda can leave all the other warriors in her dust as she stunlocks boss enemies to death and deal significant damage at an alarmingly fast rate. Master Cycle's Overdrive gimmick enables her to consistently lock down foes and keep the momentum in her favour. Her ability to build special meter is also one of the best in the game, as she's always topped up and ready to obliterate all in her path from atop her mechanical steed. This, paired with her dazzling AoE stun effects, lets her stand head and shoulders over the rest of the roster in the midst of all the challenges the DLC throws at her! So what is the “Warrior Showcase”, exactly? I wanted to make a new commentary series geared specifically towards "newer" players beginning their first steps into progressing the game. This primarily focuses on the strengths of a particular moveset, and give new players a taste of what’s waiting for them if they decide to invest heavily in their favourite warrior. His unique gimmick is the ability for him to build up a tantrum with his combos, which fuel a powerful AoE laser beam that instantly forces enemies into a stagger state and rapidly wears down their WP gauge. This allows him to set up some deadly combos that can handily lock down certain enemies, and smart players will properly assess the situation to prepare some efficient waveclears. Terrako, the Guardian of Time - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2021-01-13 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity introduces an original character in the form of Terrako, Zelda's diminutive guardian from 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild. Terrako is a very powerful, momentum-based warrior as the key to success is assessing the situation to see if it's beneficial to set-up an instant WP gauge depletion with Combo 5, or to wait for a rune prompt/dodged attack to create some havoc. He's a fairly straightforward character with a "one size fits all" combo 6, and is one of the most consistent and reliable members of the roster over all. Maz Koshia, Conduit of the Goddess - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2021-01-11 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity turns the famous DLC boss from Breath of the Wild into a playable character, and Maz Koshia is as fearsome as ever! A large part of what makes Mas Koshia work is the large damage output from the Combo 6, which grants the player the option to choose between using it as a long range WP gauge exposing/breaking combo, and a mighty single target burst attack. Maz Koshia has no issues with waveclear thanks to the unique action "massive mode", similarly to Zant from Hyrule Warriors 1. Yunobo, the Goron Landslide - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-26 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brings Yunobo into the fold, and he's quite a handful! His unique playstyle revolves around an engaging method of inputting the corresponding combos which not only force open the enemy weak point gauge, but lays down some serious hurt. Yunobo's damage output is nothing to scoff at, and the combos he uses provide some especially nifty invincibility frames as well. Riju, the Desert Lightning Bolt - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-25 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brings a surprising powerhouse in the form of Riju and Patricia. While I initially considered her to be too unwieldy to be practical, upon further inspecting I realized that she is potentially one of the strongest warrior's in the entire roster.While she may not have the flashiest or mightiest of combos, her Rampage Mode gimmick is everything she needs to leave the rest of the competition in the dust. The rampage's strong attack destroys WP gauge in the blink of an eye, while also functioning as a respectable method of crowd control. Sidon, the Apex Predator - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-24 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brings a fan favorite from Breath of the Wild onto the roster, and to staggering effect. It's not enough to say that Prince Sidon is a formidable warrior, because a case can be made that he is one of the best characters in the game overall.His ability to constantly force momentum back from the opponent and rapidly wear down the weakpoint gauge means that his vicious onslaught leaves very little time for enemies to react. Teba may seem thematically identical to Revali, but he has several tricks in his arsenal that lets him dominate the battlefield from above. By stacking mid-air attack damage boosts, he can output some serious damage per second with his combos. King Rhoam, the Protector of the Realm- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Nn Li 2020-12-22 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity lets the player assume control of Hyrule's resident monarch, with an interesting gimmick that makes him especially potent against boss and captain type enemies. Most notably, the ability to swamp between King and Hermit forms enables him to concoct some devastating combos, letting him crush the opposition with brute force. In a strange way, the flow of his moveset is somewhat reminiscent to me of Ganondorf from Hyrule Warriors 1. Zelda, the Sheikah Slate Savant - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-21 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity starts Princess Zelda out with the Sheikah Slate. While at first glance this weapon's moveset may seem gimmicky and impractical, in the right hands the Sheikah Slate can set-up some devastating combos to single targets far more powerful than one would think. Smart management of rune cooldowns will give Zelda an edge and a few reliable tools to make up for the lack of sheer fire power. Even so, the decidedly low base damage of the moveset is quickly offset through the use of food recipes to augment Sheikah Rune Damage. Hestu, the Surprisingly Stunning Sensation - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-17 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity even lets Hestu from Breath of the Wild have some time to shine. This may surprise some people, but I feel this character is incredibly good! In particular, his Combo 5 and Combo 6 make short work of enemy weak-point gauges assuming it doesn't crush enemies outright. Making good use of Hestu's range, as well as increasing his innate attack speed, allows him to lock down single targets in a fashion that is as brutal as it is groovy. Mipha, the Gracious Lancer - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-15 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brings Mipha into the roster, and as Breath of the Wild has made it clear: she's no harmless healer. Many of her abilities and combos seem to be incidental crowd control, which are great for maintaining her uptime on the special gauge. Urbosa's playstyle uniquely revolves around managing a lightning meter that accumulates as you charge up, and depletes as you use vicious lightning strikes to augment your combos. Revali, the Gale of Destruction - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Showcase Nn Li 2020-12-11 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity allows players to finally gain control of the Four Champions of Hyrule, including the prickly peacock himself! Revali, the Champion of the Rito handles every bit like the powerhouse you'd imagine him to be after the Champion's Ballad. His claims of greatness aren't completely unfounded: his ability to maintain the momentum, keeping the wind at his back by constantly raining bomb arrows down makes him a force to be reckoned with. His unique flight action opens up the opportunity for new and devastating combos, and is worth your attention if you want to dominate the battlefield from the skies! Siege of Fort Hateno Guide (Very Hard) - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Nn Li 2020-12-07 | Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has plenty of side missions to explore, but the biggest and toughest of them all is the siege of Fort Hateno, a climactic warzone that serves as catharsis for the events of Breath of the Wild's final collectible memory.Several objectives need to be tackled, and the player is only allowed 10 minutes to achieve it all. With this walkthrough, I'll show several measures that I take on this map (and conversely, warrior maps in general) to guarantee victory no matter the challenge. In Breath of the Wild, it was a slow but high damaging weapon that was useful for bursting down single targets with the charge attack or whole groups with the Sneak Strike. In this game, however, you're a force of nature that can easily super-armour through attacks with the powerful EX combos to maintain insane outputs in every scenario.
