You’ll need to build your production facility and kit her out with power supply, smelters, gas collectors, fabricators and production tables and connect them together with robot arms and tracks to turn a stream of dirty chunks of asteroid into a gleaming new Stargate.
Our plan is to release a free update to TLS every 6 weeks, we'll release a YT vid and follow up with a livestream AMA on steam. We need your help to make our vision a reality, so please, like, subscribe, tweet @IVSoftware, post in the steam forums, contribute to the Wiki, wishlist, tell your mates, put up posters in your neighbourhood and get your local politician to play - TLS Gamers of the world UNITE!
Buying the game helps as well - either on Steam or directly from our Website.

The Last Starship is the latest video game from acclaimed Indie developer and creator of Prison Architect, Introversion Software. Start with an empty starship hull and fit her out with propulsion, life-support, weapons and FTL drive, before blasting off into the galaxy to test your design against a range of procedurally generated missions. Build a massive asteroid mining operation; rescue civilians from a transport with a critical engine failure, or build an armada and pick a fight with the pirates who plague the galaxy!
We don't know how many people like this kind of thing, so if you want more of it please like and share.
Don't forget to wishlist the game on steam - it makes a massive difference to us when you do that!

In this video Mark and Chris fire up the port guns, arm the fore cannon and kick some space pirate ass in a combat deep dive. Tally Ho! (We also say sorry for robbing stuff IRL)

In 2005, we launched our 2nd video game - Darwinia. Combining fast-paced action with strategic battle planning, Darwinia features a novel and intuitive control mechanism, a graphical style ripped from 80's retro classics like Tron and Defender, and a story concerning a tribe of nomadic sprites trapped in a modern 3D world.
Fully re-mastered in 2022 to celebrate the Darwinian's 10000 anniversary this updated version brings an undisputed indie classic bang up to date. Running seamlessly on all modern systems, the game hasn't aged a day and is a fresh and relevant now as it was when it first dropped. Winning 3 out of 5 prizes at the IGF including the Seamous McNally Grand prize for Best Independent Video Game and multiple editors' choice awards, now is the time to play one of the most critically acclaimed indie games of all time.
In 2007 Introversion attempted to set a heist game in a procedurally generated city. Despite our best efforts over many years our skills were no match for our ambition and we admitted defeat. We called this project Subversion and for the first time you can play with the tech and try your hand at the missions that we did create.

Welcome to Paradise City where the Midnight Toker is wreaking chaos with a series of highly charged devices configured to give Detective John McPhane a really bad day. Play on your desktop or strap on your VR headset, just don’t cut the wrong wire!
SPOILER ALERT
In this month’s fail master-class, Chris and Mark take a look at Wrong Wire - a puzzle based exploder. There are only three levels, so if you want to have a crack at them yourself head over to introversion.co.uk/prototypes before you watch this month’s vid.
Deep Space Industrial was an attempt to scratch a space-builder itch, learning from Spacebots and Order of Magnitude. Third time’s a charm? We’ll let you be the judge of that…..

- You can now invert your mouse Y axis (options menu, 'Invert Y axis')
We've beefed up the guards need system to include all staff - work them too hard, pay them too little, or expose them to too much danger and their morale will start to drop. Eventually they'll give up on you and walk out. And I wouldn't want to be the boss of a maxsec prison when all the staff walk out...

Regaining consciousness you smell the damp. Opening your eyes you see the stone walls of the chamber flickering by the light of the fire; you stumble to your feet and kick a helmet clattering across the floor. Slowly the ache in your head begins to subside and you notice the beginnings of a passage. After a few steps the darkness consumes you. Returning to the safely of the fire you see a LIDAR scanner on the floor - a trigger press results in a faint glow coming from inside the helmet. You put the helmet on, adjust the beam-width and proceed into the abyss.

I've had some awesome experiences with the Vive VR kit so far, but this game is the one I think I enjoy the most as an actual game, rather than a semi passive experience. It's incredible! Every interaction in this game is ONLY possible in VR with the extremely accurate hand controllers, and it's a completely different experience to 'normal' videogames (where you usually press R to reload and don't have to aim). And this video captures maybe 50% of the experience of actually seeing it in first person VR.
I've been to a firing range a few times in the USA, and fired all sorts of weapons, and I've always been struck by how different real weapons are compared to videogame weapons. Videogame weapons are basically nothing like real weapons, in any way. This game is much, much closer to the real thing. And you actually have to prepare - get the sidearm loaded and ready and in its "holster", get your ammo mags loaded onto your body, then prep the main weapon and get ready. And I still messed it up! The more pressure you are under the more mistakes you tend to make in reloading and operating the gun. But switching to your sidearm when your main weapon is empty feels totally badass.
I think there's an incredible future in VR games, and we're only just starting to figure out what's possible and what works. One of the most common "Anti-VR" opinions I've heard is that it's going to die just like 3d TV did. Believe me when I say that 3d TV never had anything like this. It's not really the 3D at all - it's the controllers. The 3d gets you a sense of scale and place. The controllers and your ability to interact with the world is actually what's astonishing.
Let us know if you like this video, or if you hate it and only ever want to hear about Prison Architect on this channel. And subscribe!
I've been clearing out my hdd and found this old video from 2007 of us being interviewed by Guy Cocker. It's before Darwinia+ launched and Subversion was still on the cards (pre Prison Architect). Especially rare video as it even has Chris talking on Camera at the end!
Following our temperature work last month, Gary has updated the utilities mode to have a new hot water system and if you watch the vid we reveal all about Secret 3D Mode...
Next comes Quick Build. Stolen straight from the console build comes the ability to stamp down whole cells and offices, This should make things a whole lot quicker and a bit less "grindy".
We've also packaged up some of the coolest prisons we could find so if you don't use steam, or your connection drops you still have something to play with. Along the same lines you can now filter the most popular steam prisons in game and tinker with the most popular penetentiaries on the workshop.
