V Rising Early Access is kinda fun Zanagoth 2022-06-26 | For what’s been going on the past 9 months: patreon.com/posts/68267624 Vegas broke the Merciless charge edit and I’m not spending 2 hours re-rendering the video for it. Whatever.DISCLAIMER:Footage was recorded across multiple playthroughs. Early game footage was done with experience since I didn’t know I was going to make a video until I reached Dunley, so I had to go back on a new solo server to record most of it.Also this video is PvE only. I’ve heard good things about PvP (since Stunlock’s Battlerite portfolio means they probably are a PvP-oriented dev), but I like to enjoy survival games without the risk of someone coming along and affecting my progress so I don’t touch that aspect of PvEvP.V Rising is fun and very polished (for an early access game), but just be aware the crafting times are kind of stupid, even if you try and rationalize it as a pvp balance thing. Server settings can’t really be changed after you create it (without .ini file edit trickery), so I recommend reducing craft times to minimum. Servant conversion times and haul quantity, crafting costs, and unlocked research are also advanced settings you may want to tweak especially playing on solo. The random research system sucks a lot since you will often be 1 research short of finishing a full armor gear set for ilvl bonuses, but end up randomly researching cosmetic pots over and over. Unlocked research “fixes” this by making all research available but that means you miss out on the research progression feel. Hopefully that gets changed.Also the fact that fishing rng serves as a big bottleneck for endgame potions and misery reduction to maintain 100% blood prisoners is kinda cringeCo-op fixes a lot of the progression speed problems and I definitely recommend it. For an early access game V Rising has more content and way less bugs than a lot of open world survival games that already left early access, so this is a game worth watching. However for normal missions the cap seems to be 8 players. Any higher and the game tends to refuse to load the mission properly or invite more people. If you can get it working higher good for you.- The reason for the limitation is basically, your final player count is capped to less than or equal to 2x the normal player limit for that mission. So for normal, 8 or less. For Captura, 16 or less. Captura follows its own special "rules" which are extra silly- You can have 4 players in orbiter and 4 in squad and launch a normal mission normally, loading all 8 players in at once (will take longer than usual). - For captura, you have to get about 5-6 people in your orbiter, launch captura, THEN invite the remaining players. Captura will refuse to launch if you have more than 8 players in your orbiter+squad at the time of starting the mission.- The only "malicious" use of this exploit I can really think of is setting up a very efficient resource farm, with multiple loot frames (which isn't worth all the session instability if you ask me). If I get banned for this video, this will probably be DE's justification. Which is very pathetic. Learn to have some fun and stop taking your booster sales so seriously.- No, seriously. Learn to take responsibility for your bug-infested game. No other game I've ever played has as many "features" as Warframe, and yet Warframe is the only game to ban players en masse for having fun with exploits. Maybe take a note from developers like Bungie who don't swing banhammers on Destiny players for exploiting, but have the basic maturity to realize said exploits exist because of their own oversight or incompetence. This is what enables the fast nova to grant a fat speed bonus (because if PD strength bonus was still active it would slow everyone down to a crawl instead)- Friendly deployables (Vauban vector pad, Escape Velocity portals) deployed BEFORE the friendly fire mode will continue to grant buffs even in FF mode. This is a huge deal since it removes the need to toggle FF off/on/off.- Fast Nova does not affect players until the Nova player goes into operator after casting Molecular Prime. In the words of our lord and savior Todd Howard, it just works.- Rage cannot be cast on team mates in either friendly fire or while radiation procced. So no FF speed boost from that. DE plsOther FAQ:Q: Why not Orb Vallis? It's 4 times the size of Plains surely you have more space to fly aroundA: Orb Vallis has a lot, and I mean a LOT of mountains + elevations that you can easily slam into. It also has about the same number of invisible barriers and skyboxes that you can randomly slam into, making it worse than Plains for any kind of boosting videoQ: Why only 13 players? It brought me back to my teenage days of playing Mass Effect - that good. My main gripe with the game is that the base game is feels kind of... short. The game kind of just ends just as the story and your OP builds are really coming into their own, which is kind of a shame. Still, the foundations are great - there's a lot of character development and fun writing - and I'd gladly buy DLC to extend that endgame playtime. Your choices matter and there's a lot of roleplay potential. Playing as low intelligence is also hilarious since it alters all your dialogue options, just like Fallout New Vegas - I might do a stream of that sometime.Also apologies for the keyboard sounds halfway through the video. She still kind of struggles against armor at higher levels since heat procs halving armor isn't really meaningful past a certain point; she will still shine best when paired with a team of CPs or armor stripping.Don't ask about the Arca Titron build. It's a range riven.Also have a serious video in the works. Destiny 2: Dist3bution Zanagoth 2019-10-31 | Fair and balancedAuthor's Note: This build / exploit / whatever you want to call it - has been patched/nerfed. In this week's reset, Year 2 perks no longer stack with Year 3 mod perks, meaning you can have a maximum of 2 Distribution / Dynamo stacked at once. You can still sort of run this build on your class item and get super pretty fast, but just be aware it's not quite as egregious as before.You can also sort of run the same dodge spam build on other classes, but you do sort of need Frost-ees / Sixth Coyote and a lot of Paragon mods.It's uh, also not as great as it sounds. You can't really pull this off in PvP and there's not really that many PvE situations where you can really put this build to maximum use. You also have to give up seasonal class item mods like Thunder Coil or Oppressive Darkness that are really strong. No, seriously. This build sucks. It's definitely the worst investment of currency I've ever done in this game (worse than the Cats on Crit joke video). There are way better corpse explosion builds out there, I just wanted to actually make this stupid Aukuna raise zombie-detonate build since Legion.2: Some extra stuff about the build that I couldn't fit into the video -- Devouring Diadem was intended to clean up extra corpses lying around so you would only consistently blow up freshly summoned zombies. Witch has garbage access to life nodes unless you travel down to the Scion wheel, so I thought maybe I could make things work by using EB-MOM with some ES leech. - This was kind of where I tried buying Timeless jewels, namely a Doryani Vaal Timeless jewel. Let's just say Corrupted Soul isn't that great with EB + MOM unless you have a massive mana pool. The jewel does give some spell life leech and max cold resist, but not enough to carry the build. You can see at the end of the video Corrupted Soul's 50% non-chaos bypassing ES is kinda shit against oneshots.- Detonate Dead explosion damage isn't easy to scale since spell damage doesn't apply to it, only generic aoe/fire/elemental/crit bonuses. I had hoped scaling zombie health would be enough, but nope. This is why I used Cinderswallow Urn - besides making ignited enemies take more damage it gave pretty good life/mana/ES recovery on kills. If you can make this build (CoC Raise Zombie into DD) work better, let me know. At the time with enough speed boosts the FOV would go beyond 360 and flip since DE did not implement a cap yet. The proof of this is if you watch segments like 3:19 and clearly see that the chatbox isn't upside down. At the time of recording (it's been patched since), if you had a high FOV, going beyond a certain speed threshold would invert your camera. Basically the theory is that DE made things like Volt give you a "sped up" FOV slider increase, but never set an upper limit on it - because before Gauss it wasn't possible to reach buff speeds that would necessitate an FOV slider cap. It's cool to watch but it was hell from the controls - it wasn't just nauseating at times, but also made controlling Gauss even more difficult since it effectively inverted your controls relative to what you were seeing.Also the only footage that was sped up in this video was the very short clip of the Titan escaping the 1AU mission. Just to match the pacing of the video.
