With all the chaos that hassurrounded the war, evacuations, hostages,and murders, it is difficult for anyone to copewith their reality. Emotions can be suffocatingand overwhelming. In times like these, findingmethods of expression and processing thatallow one to think through what they areexperiencing is most critical. This exhibit is anexpression of the willingness to grapple withthe deeply complex reality of living in Israelduring war. In it, the artists have found hope,resilience, and their voice.
תערוכת התקווהLiving Through Warתערוכה חדשה במוזיאון ידידי ישראל Online videos from Israel, Middle East & Jewish World 2024-02-07 | 'תערוכת התקוה" כ-20 ציורים שצוירו כחלק מהליך דרך טיפול בטראומה לילדים ובני נוער שזו הדרך היחידה לתקשר עימם. את הציורים ציירו ילדי שלוה וילדי המפונים ששהו בבית שלוה בירושלים במהלך השבועות הראשונים למלחמה. התערוכה הוקמה במטרה לשלוח מסר של אחדות, המנסה לומר - אנו אולי שונים האחד מן השני מבחינות רבות, אך בסופו של דבר – כולנו נאחזים בתקווה, ומצפים לימים טובים יותר. בתערוכה, אוסף ציורים, פרי מכחולם של חברי הפרויקט הוותיקים לצד חברים חדשים מהדרום, שפונו מבתיהם בעקבות המלחמה. יוצרי התערוכה מעלים דרך יצירותיהם את האופן בו התמודדו במהלך המלחמה עם החששות, הדאגה למשפחה, הפגיעה בשגרה היומיומית – לצד האופטימיות, התקווה לטוב והעוגנים שמחזיקים כל אחד ואחד. אביטל שטרנברג אוצרת התערוכה מספרת : " דרכי ההתמודדות במצבי משבר הן אישיות, אך דרך היצירות והאמנות ניתן ללמוד כי הן גם אוניברסליות, וכי כל צופה בתערוכה יכול לפגוש את עצמו דרך היצירה והסיפור שמאחוריה".באירוע פתיחת התערוכה שיערך, כאמור, מחר במוזיאון ידידי ישראל בירושלים יהיו נוכחים אופיר אנגל שחזר משבי החמאס ומשפחתו. בשלוה מכירים את אופיר כיוון שאביו של אופיר, יואב אנגל , הוא מנהל מרכז הספורט בשלוה. בזמן שהיה בשבי החמאס ציירו הילדים את אופיר אנגל וחלק מהתמונות נכללות בתערוכה.
