"Sanctuary was never meant for humankind. It was forged as a refuge from the war between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells. Instead, it became a new battleground in this Eternal Conflict. A secretive group called the Horadrim has kept mortals safe. But now this once powerful order is a husk of what it once was. And Sanctuary's ancient creators have returned to claim the hearts of humankind. This is the story of their downfall."

After the destruction of the Black Soulstone, the defeat of the Prime Evil, and the fall of Malthael, Angel of Death, countless lives have been lost and the denizens of Sanctuary find themselves struggling through the darkest of ages. Years have passed and, as some semblance of regular life starts rebuilding, a threat as old as the land itself begins to stir.

Diablo IV takes place fifty years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, after millions have been slaughtered by the actions of the High Heavens and Burning Hells alike. In the power vacuum, a legendary name resurfaces—Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, the whispered progenitor of humanity. Her grip on Sanctuary cuts deep into the hearts of men and women alike, cultivating the worst in its denizens and leaving the world a dark, hopeless place. The main plot is similar to Diablo II in that it is a "following in the footsteps of" story; specifically, the game's player character(s) is/are pursuing Lilith across Sanctuary. A core theme of the game is "hatred"; the motif of hate consuming the world, and the hearts of the player character(s).

The Horadrim play a key role in the game's story, as will Inarius. The feud between him and Lilith is one of the game's key plot points.

The base game's storyline will be expanded in two areas post-launch. The first will be via expansions, which continue the overall storyline of the game. The second is through the game's seasons, however, seasons are self-contained storylines, unrelated to the core storyline.

Resurrected is a remaster of both Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The graphics have been updated, moving from 2D sprites to 3D assets, but can be toggled between the remastered version, and the original graphics via the press of a button. A zoom camera has been added, and all of the original game's cinematics are remastered, though the audio will be retained from the original game (albeit upscaled). The game supports resolutions up to 4K. The soundtrack has likewise been updated, with support for Dolby 7.1. It is a digital-only release.

The gameplay from the original has been retained, though now runs at 60FPS. The game can be played both on and offline. A shared stash system has been added to the game. However, ladder characters can't exchange items with a non-ladder character, nor can online and offline characters share items. An auto-gold system has been added, where players can opt-in. Another addition is an item-comparison system, where players can compare the stats of their items, by (in the PC version) holding the shift key. However, the game does not provide a recommendation as to what item to use.

By BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard knew that they were making Resurrected. Development began in 2020, after the release of Warcraft III: Reforged. Team 1 was assigned to the project. Reportedly, members of the team wanted to avoid the mistakes that had led to the poor reception to Reforged. However, in that year, a postmortem concerning Reforged was carried out. Team 1 was removed from the project, and development was placed in the hands of Team 3 and Vicarious Visions.

When Team 3 started working on the game, they decided to keep all the gameplay aspects of the original game, as well as retaining the original storytelling.

Some source files from the original game were recovered. Game designer Andre Abrahamiam was able to track down assets by going to various individuals within Blizzard, who'd kept the assets in "folders within folders." Months were spent organizing the assets. Blizzard North concept art was also retrieved.

The developers initially considered couch co-op for console versions, in a similar manner to Diablo III. However, due to the way the game is structured, with the character always remaining at the center of the screen, it "didn't feel like D2 anymore."

Artwork
Team 3 worked on the principle of 70:30 when remastering the game's appearance. The 70 refers to what's untouched from the original, while the 30 refers to "elevated" artwork. A new renderer was developed to make the transition from 2D sprites to 3D models.

Source files from Diablo I were used for reference in some cases when designing the new models.

For locations, the team took inspiration from Blizzard North design documents, referencing real-world locations as inspiration for in-game locations. Team 3 followed the same philosophy.

Nral 2020-08-12 | If the player killed Griffin, the final showdown ensues between Konoko and Muro's new self as he has accomplished to pass to the next stage of Chrysalis evolution - the Imago stage. This choice makes the game somewhat more difficult to complete, as instead of fighting a large number of weaker enemies, one must face a superboss -- periods of invunerability, massive size and damage, etc. However, if the player chose to walk away, then Muro stays in human form, he and his henchmen face Konoko, upon which Griffin comes along to help her. The overall plot remains the same, the ending included.

They begin to track the unique energy signatures of one set of crystals to the Terran world of Korhal. However, the signatures appeared distorted, almost modified. Regardless, they cautiously approached the known Terran homeworld.

Nral 2019-02-19 | After capturing Ulrezaj and his cohorts on Aiur after attacking defenseless Protoss, Zeratul and Mohandar, elder of the Nerazim and representative of the council on which the Matriarch leads, commence a trial on Shakuras to judge the rouge Dark Templar for their heinous crimes. Ulrezaj explains to Zeratul his motives for carrying out what he believed was justice to the Khalai who oppressed their people so long ago. Ulrezaj seemed to know Zeratul well and was unapologetic to his actions. Even more troubling, he appeared to have an illusive master that he refused to share on.

Nral 2019-02-14 | Zeratul, Selendis, and Artanis detect several distress signals from Protoss trapped on Aiur as well as what appeared to be Stasis Cells from previously fallen warriors. Zeratul agrees to lead a detachment to save those trapped Protoss who slept in the cells while Selendis and Artanis rescued others nearby.

Nral 2019-02-07 | With a combined effort of the Commander's Squadron and Mojo's templar detachment, they begin to setup an assault force to take down Schezar who has taken up residence in a ruined Protoss temple. Meanwhile, Schezar begins to activate four of his towers powered by more altered Khaydarin crystals. They quickly surmise that Schezar means to take control of the Zerg on Aiur in order to gain complete control of the Swarm for their own purposes. Instead, the Overmind becomes well aware of their intentions and orders a large bulk of his swarm to destroy the Terrans before the plan can be put into motion.

Nral 2019-01-21 | Opening a warp rift to the planet Aiur through Danimoth, The Commander and Mojo take their forces and return to Aiur where Mojo is horrified to learn of the Zerg having already destroying much of his world. Being hailed by the Conclave, they proclaim that it was not Schezar's enslaved Zerg to have caused this but the bulk of the Zerg Swarm.

Nral 2019-01-07 | Still reeling from the aftermath of the loss of his comrade by Schezar, the Commander vows to do whatever it takes to bring Schezar to justice. Mengsk agrees and uses his anger as fuel to assist with the capture of Schezar. Now knowing the location of his primary stronghold near the ruined capital of Halcyon, he orders the Commander to take his forces and assault the area. However they have to deal with not only Schezar's forces but the captured Zerg Cerebrate and his enslaved Zerg. Ordering to assist the Commander, Mengsk tasks his best wraith pilot Tom Kazansky and an advanced cybernetic AI construct Magellan, who currently is piloting a Nomad vessel to test in combat.

Mengsk responded and authorized down a detachment from the fleet still in orbit around the planet. Hitching a ride down to the planet's surface was the Commander's long best friend, Gui Montag.

Oni (2001) - Full Story of Konoko + Fights & Dialogues

Nral 2018-11-09 | Oni is a third-person action game released in 2001 and developed by Bungie West, a former division of Bungie. The game introduced unique gameplay styles by blending third-person shooting with hand-to-hand combat.

Oni takes place around the year 2032. The game world is a dystopia, an Earth so polluted that little of it remains habitable. To solve unspecified international economic crises, all nations have combined into a single entity, the World Coalition Government. The government is Orwellian, telling the populace that what is actually dangerously toxic regions are wilderness preserves, and using the Technological Crimes Task Force, its secret police, to spy on citizens and suppress opposition.

The game focuses on Mai "Konoko" Hasegawa, a veteran TCTF Special Agent with unique physical attributes and remarkable martial art skills. The game pits the player's character to investigate a crime scene instigated by a monolithic organisation known simply as the Syndicate.
