Mr. Cs ComicsMarvel's Secret Empire was another in a long line of Universe-changing events. Despite its problems, its ruining of Captain America, and its usual unforgiving tie-ins, I think it was pretty good.

And aside from the fact that it not only has a title eerily similar to DC's Doomsday Clock but also reads like they copypasta'd Marvel Legacy, it's a fine book. Just...fine. Wolverine is in it, Black Widow is still alive *SPOILERZZZZSZS!!!!!1111one***
If you're new to the Infinity stories, then it's a good idea to pick up and read Infinity Countdown Adam Warlock as well as the Prime issue. Those books contain backstory and knowledge regarding the stones/gems and their current whereabouts.
Thanos shows back up, Kang makes some guest appearances, and Marvel wants to sell us comic books right after we go see Avengers Infinity War at fine theaters everywhere! BOOM KACHOW!

Its last issue was published on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. Over the two years that it was running, this series became one of my must-reads each month. It developed the theme of a medium-aware character within the comic book universe, and used that premise to explore not only philosophical questions about fictional characters and their many facets, but moral questions about sentience and consciousness.
You will be missed Gwen Poole. You were my Last Action Hero… aside from Deadpool, that is.

In this video, I am just myself, sans cartoon. While there are many political videos on Marvel's Black Panther movie, I try to just offer my reading on the politics present in the film.
My personal review of the movie: It was absolutely fabulous.

Defining Quality in Art [Vertical Video]Mr. Cs Comics2018-02-16 | Original Twitter thread on this topic: twitter.com/ScottNiswander/status/955862804862554115
When we talk about "quality" art, what are we really talking about? Is our own opinion of what makes art "good" above that of others who like something completely different? It seems like there have been enough examples of "bad" art that stand up to criticism and remain important items in the atmosphere of expression and entertainment.
I may actually arrive at an opinion in this video, although I'm not sure.

So...it's official. Marvel believes in Jesus. That's...pretty much it. Is this canon now? Will we forget all this after this series ends? Will Little Timmy get that new bike for Christmas?
Spirits of Vengeance combines Ghost Rider, Satana, Hellstrom, and Blade into the ultimate supernatural team. It's a good book, and I highly recommend reading it.

The national conversation around gun violence puts this kind of art in an odd place; one where some viewers and critics expect the show to make statements about the political conditions we're in.
Granted, The Punisher is a bit more violent than previous Marvel shows, and plays fast and loose with the notion of justice. Still, does the show need to make a statement about the current state of affairs in the U.S.? Does Frank Castle have to offer an audience more depth and introspection than his source material may have provided? Why is art so often expected to cater to our political feelings?

Either that, or the original inspiration is providing similar ideas. Either way, there are some fun similarities between the Twilight of the Gods in Ragnarok, and the end of days in the Bible. Thor: Ragnarok does take some liberties with the story, but you'd be hard pressed to look past the relation between the two. Thor! Surtur! God? Jesus!? Different sides of the same objects!?

Marvel's MAX label focused on mature content, with comics aimed at adult readers, and the Deadpool MAX run kind of fell short of its contemporaries. Frankly, it wasn't good.
Let's a take a look at the comics, and grab some inspiration from one of my heroes, George Carlin.
